I looked at PrivacyHawk for a while before purchasing it, and then decided to get it for the year… Big mistake. It only works for Gmail accounts with your emails, and since I have private websites and do not use Gmail, it only covers less than half of the “exposures“ out there. Also, I was disappointed that after putting in my information initially, I was sent several links for me to then personally request all of my information to be removed from their site… Which is basically something that you can find on your own, it’s just that they compiled it for you, but then did none of the work, and it was time-consuming to fill out each one of those things, and again main portion, which is tied to my email, doesn’t even work because it’s not a Gmail account. They say they’ll be adding you email servers in the future, but that hasn’t happened. I had really high hopes for this and would’ve recommended it to you like 1000 people and would have happily paid the fee for many years to come, and maybe it was written somewhere and I missed that, but anyway, I can’t recommend it. Unfortunately.

Be sure you understand how this works before spending the 75 annual fee to have the “advanced options” that will “remove your data”.
Once it scans it directs you to the major data brokers where you submit “opt out” forms. When it comes to scanning your email to protect your data , PrivacyHawk sends emails on your behalf. You then receive auto generated messages, multiple stating the mailbox cannot be found, or requiring additional verification directly. In my experience not worth the hassle as it just generates voluminous messages without producing the desired results.

i tried using the services. they turned out to be what appewre as an overlay to other services offered elsewhere. so basically this company is selling a subscription to other services that are available for free elsewhere and then charging $80;a year for it. only after that 80 is paid do they let you know that there are shorter subscription times to try out the services. i almost didnt bother with a review, but i got a lecture from the company when i gave quick feedback as to why i wanted a refund. dont bother with PrivacyHawk, there are free privacy services out there. this company wxploits others’ work and is moreninterested in being right than they care about making things right. (Also, their API connects to free services… and they try to hide it)

So I tried PrivacyHawk. Did the scan. Put my name in. Put my age in. It comes back with X number of exposures. It gives a name, first name, middle initial, and last name. It gives an age. And it gives relatives attached to that name. So you can tell if that's really you or not.

What came back on my scan was a whole bunch of people who aren't me. It doesn't allow you to delete those other people in the scan results. It doesn't ask for your middle initial in the scan parameters. It gives you 10 free up outs. And then anything over those 10, you have to pay for it. So of course if it's going to give me a bunch of accounts that isn't mine that I'm gonna go over that limit of 10 and so have to pay. The scan is rigged to force you to pay have your accounts removed.

Saw this by 3 different tik tokers magically all three, plus mine and 4 of my friends had exactly 75 issues. The only way to have any sort of remedy is to pay a crazy fee which one of us did and they said it was removed but if you go to the site of the removal you are still in their database. Just do it yourself little bits at a time. For our part we live in Minnesota and have a great Attorney General’s office and forwarded our info to them. We got an email back stating they have opened an investigation already and would add our complaints to the others and reach out when they had more info. This may be a legit thing just saying be careful, trust your gut.

It searched the web with my name, loc, email and stuff… came back with 85 risks. Problem is none of them were me except for one. Even that one barely had any info. If you have a common name like me, don’t bother using it. It thinks all these people with the same name all over the country is me and asks me whether I want to pay money to remove them all. Why would I pay money to remove info for other people with the same name? It says so much about PrivacyHawk, it really doesn’t know the difference and just wants to scare people to get money.

It's very buggy. When I click on a button to check market, it takes forever or freezes the apps crash multiple times. Emails that I thought I've sent I have not been sent. PrivacyHawk doesn't do any work for you and only just send an email automatically and then you have to talk to that company and tell them what you want. A lot of companies asked me to confirm if this was true or not. It's not worth the money it's just extra work and there's other retails out there they do a better job. I can put all that aside, but the actual application just doesn't work at freezes it crashes and heated up my phone. It's unstable and every time I click a box it's delayed as if there's a 10 second delay. I have a brand new iPhone latest model and it's not my iPhone it's the stupid app.

I’d say this is not a slam dunk app as the creators would have you believe. In theory it sounds great! But In my 10 requests to “not sell my personal data” 7 of the financial institutions I chose came back to me (via email) stating that the email address was invalid. For an app that claims to make it easy to purge your information, I’d expect their data to be quite up to date (obviously it’s not) and there is quite a bit of legwork required manually on your part.

I don’t see the value. If someone could care to elaborate? Otherwise this seems like a money grab for an already broken privacy system/non-standard regulations in the US.

Great App does exactly what it’s advertised to do. I found 50 exposers just in my case long. But what it doesn’t tell you when you’re reading on all these reviews is there a cost you $50 to delete everything . So state that the beginning so people don’t download PrivacyHawk thinking you’re actually offering a service for free. yeah but you can only see what’s out there and not be able to delete what’s there without paying for it.

PrivacyHawk is advertised as a “one click“ solution to unsubscribe you from unwanted spam email and personal info data mining websites. I think it works well for the websites but the spam email feature needs work. In 2023 most companies send advertising emails through a no reply inbox and require you to click the unsubscribe link in their emails to change your preferences. this app attempts to send these no reply inboxes that it gathers from a direct link to your email asking to unsubscribe you from emails on your behalf. I saw no reduction in spam emails after sending hundreds of these emails through this app.

Very easy to get set up and use. If you are worried about your information being exposed and used all over the internet get PrivacyHawk. It shows you places you never knew existed that has information about you. Easy to download, easy to set up, and easy to get started.

I read an article recently about cyber security and learned how data brokers work. It's crazy how many of them there are and how they sell your information. I've been looking for an app that could help me request removal from all of these lists, and this one is the best. the coolest part was I connected it to my Gmail account and it automatically found all of the places and companies that had my data stored and automatically requested removal for me. I also signed up and protected my whole family because I have young children. Scary to think of what would happen if their data got out there too. Highly recommend for everyone to do this.

I saw an ad on TikTok for PrivacyHawk and I decided to give it a try. I was a bit skeptical that they could actually remove my data but in PrivacyHawk they actually explained how it worked so I was at ease. My jaw dropped when I saw the amount of sites that had my data, from my email to even my family members names. After that, upgrading to premium just made sense. I think one feature I hope they add in the future is what sites have other forms of information like credit card number but other than that I am very satisfied with PrivacyHawk

I had a bit of trouble linking my Gmail inbox to PrivacyHawk but I contacted their support team and they got back to me super quick and helped me fix my issue. They were super communicative and helped me every step of the way. I was a bit nervous at first but after my experience, they are definitely a trustworthy team that puts me first. After this, it was a breeze to remove my data from the suspicious databases. I had no clue how much of my information was exposed and visible on the internet.

This is a great app for people who don’t want their personal data leaked everywhere. I don’t trust companies to keep my data safe. Finally I found an easy way to take that data back. this app made it easy for me to identify all the old companies I used in the past that I don’t use anymore and send delete requests to get them to delete my data. If you don’t do this, they just hold on to your sensitive data forever, even if they don’t need it. I didn’t think there was any practical way to do anything about this until I found this app. Glad I did!

I took a course about how dangerous it was to share your contacts, addresses and personal information to lots of different companies. Over the course of my life, I knew I had signed up for hundreds of different accounts and filled out thousands of different forms. I wanted to do something about this, and fast. I found this app quickly, and saw what it promised to do with all my information. I was concerned it wouldn't be able to deliver, but this app almost instantly removed all of my information from unwanted websites when I upgraded to a premium subscription.

I’m a big skeptic when it comes to apps like this because sometimes it’s just too hard to believe, but PrivacyHawk is no joke. I decided to try it out on a limb and see what it had to say and I was baffled when I saw how much of my data was on the internet. Long story short, it was enough for me to have to scroll. Highly recommend it. You always hear lots of buzz that companies have all your information online, but I was always skeptical about the extent to which this was true. I downloaded privacy hawk out of curiosity, and couldn’t believe how much information I had out on the internet. Whilst initially scary, Privacy Hawk gave me relief as I saw my information being deleted from large companies' data banks in real time. The horrible initial shock meant I felt upgrading premium was worth my while and I haven't looked back since.

It’s a great service for protecting your personal information before online data collectors get out of hand. It’s really useful in identifying what apps and websites to avoid, and their support team is super friendly and helpful as well. I’m telling all my friends to become more aware about their online information and footprint. And the best way to start is by downloading this app.

I had been deluged with spam calls, texts, emails, etc. sometimes I would wake up and I would have 1200 emails. I tried a VPN but it restricted my normal operating phone. I would continuously get notifications that my information was found on the dark web. I signed up for privacy hawk about 14 months ago. What a difference. Still get a spam call on occasion. Maybe one a week. Spam emails have disappeared. I receive updates on my privacy score. Which has increased from the low hundreds to a freakin 809. Bonus is I don’t have to limit or restrict phone calls. And they constantly monitor public sites like the yellow pages and all those sites we all visited to find out what our old high school friends were up to. Or where our exes were living. So no more freely giving out my private or personal info. Privacy hawk does it all for me.

I know it stinks that they hit you with a paywall after the initial scan, but I paid $10 for a month of this service, and it removed my stuff from all these scam sights I didn’t even know existed. I went and looked at a couple of these sights before and after I purged my info. I don’t know if this is worth a yearly subscription, but if PrivacyHawk shows you a bunch of malicious sights with your info, definitely pay the money for a month of this just to remove your information. I used to get scam calls and emails and texts galore and now I haven’t gotten one in a while.

I had no idea the amount of sites that had my personal information until I got this service. So many had my personal information and I never heard of almost all of them. As soon as I got started and I was shown the exact number of threats and how long it would take to scrub them clean. I love the exposure meter too show you where you rank. So easy to use and navigate. Everything stays covered and any new threats are automatically taken care of and you get notifications thru the process. The monthly fee you pay is nothing for the amount of security you get.

After getting hacked and sim swapped back in August this past year, I’ve been looking for anything and everything to protect myself in this messed up world. Working in sales my phone and email is the only way to continue operations, having the ability to go to one app to handle all the garbage we deal with on the daily makes it so easy. Especially with them helping me decrease my digital footprint and receive much less spam called and phishing texts. Thanks for your help and I look forward to see what other services you’ll provide.

Privacy Hawk is a great tool if you have a professional need or simply a personal want to protect your information! I decided to purchase this, as I kept fighting to keep my old and current addresses and phone numbers from populating well-known search pages. So far, I enjoy the notifications when new info is found and when it is quickly removed, without any input from me! It’s amazing how many websites there are that I had never encountered or thought to address, but Privacy Hawk found the entries and eliminated them. Try it out!

Heard about this from a friend, so I wanted to test it out and see if it actually helped me protect my data. I tend to get a lot of spam in my email so I tried removing my email from the list of databases and it immediately reduced the amount of spam I was receiving. I was super surprised how much of my data was exposed, like even my parents’ names were attached to me in multiple databases which is pretty scary. With just one button, I removed my data and my privacy score went up. I felt at ease and knew I could trust the this app team. After that, premium was a no-brainer for me.

Ended up installing PrivacyHawk after a friend’s recommendation. Honestly, so far I’m pretty satisfied. I did the free scan and was appalled at first. I had my data on 200+ sites! And this is highly personal data. I ended up doing the removal and it was a pretty smooth process. Ever since I have had basically no spam texts or calls on my phone, so I am happy so far

I had previously left a negative review here that said that I was frustrated by a misleading description regarding the free trial. I actually ended up in an email exchange with the CEO of PH, who admitted that this language needed to be updated.

I appreciate this company for being attentive to its users and engaging in good faith. I will be using PrivacyHawk now, and I will update with my experience!

PrivacyHawk was easy to install and use, it’s very user friendly. It scans, and lists all the websites, then you decide what you want to do, make your choices and let this app do all the hard work for you.
After the scan showed me a list a mile long of businesses that were exploiting my personal data, I was stunned, I got to decide what to do about it for each website, that felt good. I feel a lot better knowing I’ve taken back control of my data privacy and you will too.

I am a huge fan of PrivacyHawk. Not only does it delete you from data brokers, but it also has a nifty digital footprint scan where it identifies all the companies from your inbox, for me there were like 150, and I deleted my data from a whole bunch of companies that no longer need my data. And I have to tell you, it’s very satisfying deleting your private data from all these places. Makes me feel much less exposed. Plus, PrivacyHawk is so easy to use that tapping the delete button is kind of fun!

PrivacyHawk helps protect my privacy and it gives me a peace of mind when it comes to my safety as well as my family’s. It’s crazy and quite concerning how many companies/websites have our information. It was very easy and quick to do the free scan and see where exactly my private info is and then you have the option to upgrade and this app will have your info removed from these databases so that you can feel more secure online and in control of who does have your information. PrivacyHawk is very well designed, helpful, and easy to use!

The scans are free. It will scan your emails and Apple account. I was able to scan my Google account and see what lists I was on. I could then ask those sites to delete my personal data and unsubscribe from them up to 10 times. I need to upgrade in order to do more and to have my info wiped from other questionable sites. I haven’t decided to do that yet but probably will. PrivacyHawk is easy to use.

I also learned that family I am no longer related to through divorce are as well on my account information so once I paid the fee it took out my information from all the places they found I am definitely glad I downloaded PrivacyHawk it does exactly what it says it will

I used to search my name all the times. Of course there is no time to click on each link to see our exposure. This apps confirms that what we see was true, they had our old address. As well as how other similar search website contained some information without visiting them. Including how many website there is.

PrivacyHawk allowed me to find out exactly which websites had my personal information posted and quickly protect and remove all sensitive data from public access. I had no idea my information had been made available on 35 different websites. I feel much more protected and a sense of privacy thanks to PrivacyHawk! Well recommended.

This service is great. Had no idea my personal information was so exposed on the web and all these databases! this app not only made it easy to find that out, but it removes all of these for me. Every month it finds more and removes them without having to do any work on my end. Definitely worth it!

this app's free scans offer a valuable glimpse into your online footprint. Seeing the lists of apps that has my private data caused me to want to do something about it immediately, and this app was there to help. While the free version has its limits, it gives a good taste of PrivacyHawk 's capabilities. Upgrading was an absolute no brainer for me given it saves dozens of hours of manual tedious work.

this app removed dozens and dozens listings of my personal information - age, every address I’ve ever lived at, ALL of my family members and every phone number and email I’ve ever used. Rather disturbing to see all of that just floating out there!

PrivacyHawk is awesome. It’s the first one I’ve found that protects my sensitive data from both data brokers and corporations that no longer need my data. With so many hacks and data leaks, I’m grateful there’s an app like this app. So sick of all these scammers and hackers having easy access so much of our private sensitive information.

This application permitted me to find out precisely which sites had my data posted and immediately safeguard and eliminate all touchy information from free. I had no thought my data had been made accessible on 35 distinct sites. I feel considerably more safeguarded and a feeling of security because of this application! The free scan gives you a great awareness of just how many weird people search platforms are out there. There were tons more than I could have named. Even if you don’t upgrade and feel you’ve got time to approach each of these sites, it’s valuable information.

I tried out a few services but this app was the only one that actually delivered on its promise. Highly recommend. Design is a bit outdated but it works!

I can’t stand the fact that these companies are selling my data. So I ended up upgrading to premium, and I must say that I am very happy with the service. They’ve already removed me from dozens of data brokers, and there’s a whole bunch more that are in queue to be removed as well. Will definitely be keeping this service!

PrivacyHawk is so amazing. My friend told me about it and I’m so glad. You can actually find out who has your data… PrivacyHawk makes it so easy! Time to smart those scammers. I’m putting this on my moms phone as well because she’s older and I’m always worried about her getting scammed. Kids’s phone too.

this app is easy to use. Much of it is automated but some data brokers make it more difficult with multiple steps required to limit/remove your data. We’ll see if my robo calls decrease but it seems to be a great app for cleaning up personal data being spread through the cloud. If it works as it appears…it is money well spent!

Learned about this from family, so I decided to try it out! I was shocked at just how much of my information is out there. They knew about my address, phone number, relatives, and so much more. It was honestly scary thinking about how many people could stalk me. I decided to try out their automated data removal and it was so smooth. It saved me hours of going through individual data broker websites. My data was finally safe. So upgrading to premium came as a no brainer for me. Great customer service as well.

UPDATE: impressed with the volume of data floating about out there! Privacy Hawk has helped removed my data from over 100 sites! Thank you! I have also noticed a significant decrease in the amount of spam coming into my inbox. Yes, there is some effort involved, but Privacy Hawk will save you countless hours.

While helpful in sending emails to companies, be ready for responses from those companies that may require you to go their website anyway to respond, opt out or fill out a form. Unfortunately, I think my email has been sold and is now circulating the masses. Too soon to tell how well this has worked.
