Can’t find anyway to change any settings. In MetaWeather Store it shows a + sign in the top right hand corner which I would guess is where I would go to change my settings. However, the + sign is missing when I open my app on my iPhone. I am unable to switch to dark mode, change themes and locations. Unable to switch from meters to feet. Radar is no where to be found. My free weather apps are able to give me so much more than MetaWeather.

Where is it? If you say it’s an upgrade that’s ridiculous, way too may major free apps with it.

Every location shows all zeros with no weather information provided. Refreshing MetaWeather has no effect. Useless app. Deleted.

I just downloaded MetaWeather to try it out. All the little sections contain useful weather info with easy to read fonts, but there is close to zero customization options. The settings tab allows me to change the units for temperature and wind speed and that’s it! I’d love to change to a dark mode because I can’t stand the default color scheme and it appears like there should be 8 colored themes to choose from plus a dark theme, but MetaWeather tells me to ‘Get PRO for themes!’ Also at the bottom of the main page, there is another note that says ‘Get PRO for solar and other cool data!’ - but there aren’t any buttons or tabs that would allow users to upgrade if they chose to do so!! Depending on all the options available in PRO and its price, I might have actually given MetaWeather some $$, but since it is broken and has nearly zero customization settings I will be deleting it.

General appearance is nice. Lack of customization and radar are big hits tho.

I do not like the new update. Yesterday I was thinking of buying Pro when they went back to the old design. Today, they are committing to the new one. I'm deleting MetaWeather .

The interface for the weather is pretty nice. There’s a couple of issues that I see: 1) The buttons on the bottom of the screen (to change the theme) should maybe be in a pull down menu or something & not taking up the “real estate” of the actual weather information. They are too easy to accidentally push. Not that it’s a big deal that the color changed, but kind of a nuisance thing. 2) I can’t figure out how to delete the predetermined cities in MetaWeather (or if you accidentally add a city that you didn’t mean to). I don’t really care what the weather is in New York, Miami, or Las Vegas. How do you delete those? I see where you can click on the “map” icon to bring up the listing of all the cities, there’s just no way (that I can find at least) to get rid of cities in the listing… 3) I don’t do or care what your Spotify is. That’s just stupid to have in a weather app, it doesn’t have anything to do with the weather…

I left a four star review earlier because I love everything about MetaWeather but there is one GIANT problem. It does NOT allow precise locations, even based on zip code. So for example, San Diego downtown is on the water - it’s cooler. I’m 10 miles away in another part of the city - checking now there is a 12 degree discrepancy! So… I can’t use MetaWeather for local weather. It’s a pity. Dev? Please fix it, because except for this big flaw, it’s the nicest I’ve tried out of a dozen!

Really think MetaWeather has promise in the very crowded category of “weather related” apps available. It’s priced right & looks good and data provided seems correct. Could do with a short instruction vid, especially where it places cities added (can be hidden).

But the glaring omission is lack of weather radar. To be a serious player, this feature needs to be added. App description says weather alerts are included but haven’t seen any when compared to my current go to weather app.

All in all, decent but still a short ways to go to get a 4th or 5th star.

App appears to provide good data. But if “Zoomed” screen is enabled, MetaWeather extends beyond the screen borders and there is no way to “pinch” or shrink it to fit the screen. Until this is fixed, I’ll keep using my old weather app.

Text too big to fit on my 13Pro screen.

If I switch to the Daily view there’s a 97% chance of rain. When I switch to the hourly view there is no rain for the entire day.

I am trying to switch from dark mode to normal mode but there is no indicator on any of the screens to be able to make the change. Can this switch be added on? I have the this app Pro version. Thank you.

I seriously love the simple design. I think things like a more straight forward precipitation bar and the ability to make your own themes MetaWeather could be brought to a whole new level! I can’t wait to see where it goes :)

Everything I need in a weather app from a developer that is very responsive. The weather displayed is neat, straight forward, and uncluttered. MetaWeather just keeps getting better. My disappointments are the recent back and forth switching of the overall look of MetaWeather and the implementation of a dark mode theme. When using the dark theme several informational labels are not visible.

On hourly view , days in between should be written somewhere. Getting better and better with each update. Actually what I meant was in the hourly view,there should be a separation of some sort between 23 h and 00 h. I liked the original dark theme better 😉 Whatever happened to MetaWeather ? Even the basics do not work anymore ! EDIT : working on and off. EDIT : Working fine now. I’m liking the new theme 😉 I really like the new design and the colors even though I liked the previous icon better because it stood out more. Too bad Dark Sky doesn’t work in my country…

Question(s): would it be possible to switch all info to either metric or imperial? The barometer and visibility hold metric readings all the time.

Also, how does one remove cities from the list after added? I cannot seem to find a way to accomplish this task.

Other than these items, I really like the layout and info contained within. Small adjustments could create a very nice alternative to the built-in weather app.

I just started using MetaWeather a few days ago. I really enjoy that you are and I think it’s laid out very nicely. I’m a diehard Dark Sky fan but I really like the upside of MetaWeather. I look forward to more updates and will be my go to app for weather for the near future.

I really like how MetaWeather gives you EVERYTHING you need all in one display that is easy to figure out and navigate. I like the control that slows you to view daily and hourly weather. It shows you the highs, lows, humidity, wind, etc. I’ve tried several different weather apps and I find myself using this one the most.

The only issue I have is that it doesn’t quite fit on my small phone screen, so I can’t see the times when I’m looking at hourly weather. Fits fine on my iPad though!

All the information you’d ever need in an easy to read format!

Finally, a weather app that has all the information I want on a single screen. Brilliant layout, easy to read and find the info you’re looking for.

This appears to be a good App which shows accurate forecast and useful weather information. Nice format.

The custom themes are real cool! Dark mode is my favorite but I like the desert theme too.

Could you add more custom themes? Or the ability for us to select our own colors?

Nice weather app, all the weather info I need is shown right when MetaWeather is opened.

MetaWeather has been very helpful. It’s is very detailed and simple to navigate/use. Have never encountered any issues with MetaWeather myself. 10/10 great weather app!

However…

Three things that I could not figure out: the degrees number and the percent number next to wind and above daily/hourly.

Tried different locations and found no correlation to either (degrees are not lows maybe average? The percent is not humidity nor precipitation chance?)

also cannot figure out the three sliders. They cannot be moved and in each location I have tried all three are at zero

Need pro widgets too for powerful meta weather….

MetaWeather design is very intuitive with great elements to it. I just wish that those white bars on the left side of firecast would’ve greater meaning to it otherwise a great app with useful data and design. Love it, 100% recommended and I kinda rushed it to type this review as I was excited!

Use MetaWeather on a daily basis. Easy to use, provides all the info I need😊

All the data you want without being difficult to read in any way. Just great. Get this one.

There are a LOT of weather apps but there’s something about this one that led me to buy it. It’s clear. It’s simple. It’s well laid out. And they’re fair with their pricing. No real complaints—just a nice app.
