Why cant you make this work in landscape mode on IOS

Update CubGroceryLiquor to work in Landscape mode for apple ipads and that would prompt me to up my review to 5 stars.

By

Major improvement

The new app is much better than the previous App! Digital coupons are easier to navigate and help me save more. On line shopping is easier and cheaper than using 3rd party apps. Looking forward to making savings even easier in this new version.

Very clunky app

There is no easy way to sign in or create a new account from your phone, and the navigation is really poor from a user standpoint. It is easy to get stuck in a loop of verification codes, redirects, and wait screens. You cannot add items to a cart and preview prices without committing to an account either. Overall, I deleted CubGroceryLiquor within 15 minutes of download. It’s virtually unusable. CubGroceryLiquor needs a lot of work and backend testing before it’s really usable.

By

Go Cub Go!

What a great addition for Cub! I was able to place a pickup order through the new app seamlessly. The order was ready in a few hours. Clipping the digital coupons was such a great feature. Thank you Cub!

By

Big Upgrade

So much easier to shop using CubGroceryLiquor. I like that I can add coupons right when shopping.

By

I liked the old app

The old app was more user friendly in terms of adding items from the ad to my shopping list… not even sure how to do that in this new app. Very disappointing.

By

Easy to use and great deals!

Easy to use app with great deals

Signing in with Apple doesn’t work.

I can’t sign in on any devices when using the “sign in with apple” option. I get the error:

Sorry, an error occurred while processing your request.

So I can’t fully explore CubGroceryLiquor with all features if I can’t even sign in. At least there is consistently compared to every other variation of app that Cub Foods has put out.

That last sentence is not a compliment, by the way. It’s such a bummer because I was really hoping there was finally a good app.

Needs lots of work

Tried to create pharmacy account, keeps telling me I gave not selected a pharmacy, there is no place to select a pharmacy. How about making sure CubGroceryLiquor works before you issue it. Bad!!!!

By

Old app was better

I’ve been toying with the new app for the past month or two and I just don’t like it for a several reasons. One is that it doesn’t keep me logged in, so I have to enter the password every time I open it ( “remember me” only remembers for a brief period). Secondly, specific coupon deals are difficult to find. For example, to get the weekend deal you have to save the coupon to your account. This weeks deal includes M&ms candies. It took me at least 5 minutes to find the coupon. Simply searching M&ms brought me Pillsbury cookies and a number of other none Candy foods. It really shouldn’t be that complicated to add specials to your card. Which brings me to complaint number three. The adds do not have live links. For example, in the weekend sales flyer, there is an option to click here to add deal. However the add button only works on the website not CubGroceryLiquor . Being able to add the deal from the flyer within CubGroceryLiquor would greatly increase the apps appeal. I’m likely to delete CubGroceryLiquor soon.

Keep trying

I was so excited to see a new app for Cub Foods, as the current one is pretty bad. I had high hopes, but honestly, pretty unimpressed. It needs to display landscape on an iPad, c’mon - that’s a no brained. Looking at weekly ads, selecting coupons from coupon book or items from ad doesn’t circle or add to list or anything.

I’m using it on my iPad, open account (yes I’m logged in) it displays ‘session expired please login’. Yes, I’m on the latest version.

I just want to be able to add things to a grocery list. If i want to add to a cart for online shopping, I will, but I just want to add items to a grocery list to shops from in the store. The previous version you could do that. Having to select a list every time is not helpful.

I search for items and it brings me to a very limited number of options and doesn’t display what’s really in the store (the store that I’ve chosen and am logged into). If it’s not there, you can’t add to the list - which means I’ll forget what I need or I have to make a paper list too? I know it not easy. But man, some of these things should have been thought through in advance and/or already updated. Take a page out of the Kroger or even the Walmart shopping apps. I’ve shopped at Cub forever, so I’ll hang in there hoping that new versions resolve issues and add simple user interface requirements.

Poor

I shop at cub multiple times per week for the last 20 years. I tried to set up an account through CubGroceryLiquor to see if I could make life a little easier. I can’t create an account with my email and phone number because my phone number is already in use and tied to my rewards card I got 10 years ago, but I can’t reset my password for my “existing” account because my email address is not in their system from when I got the rewards card 10 years ago since you only needed a phone number to sign up at the time. So this is a catch-22 it seems, I cannot create a new account with the required phone number field and I cannot reset my password for my account because my email is not tied to an existing account. Seems like a pretty big oversight by CubGroceryLiquor developer for people like me who signed up years ago with only a phone number as I am now unable to use CubGroceryLiquor at all.

Impossible to access/register for Cub pharmacy account

I’ve wasted an unbelievable amount of time unsuccessfully attempting to access my pharmacy account. I then tried to open a new account. There were a lot of error messages without any explanation as to what error I allegedly made, so I checked everything, but still wasn’t able to open an account. I was supposed to receive some kind of pin via email, but nothing arrived. I deleted CubGroceryLiquor & reinstalled it several times. I switched to a different device, & nothing worked. I asked a pharmacist who was very helpful. While she didn’t know the answer, she was given a customer service website & she passed on to me. I’ll try to contact Cub via this website when I am less annoyed.

Second update - try again

Update: I have figured a way around CubGroceryLiquor. To Avoid having the headache of having to log in to CubGroceryLiquor each time you use it, just don’t use it. You can enter your phone number at checkout to use coupons and get fuel rewards. The receipt tell you your fuel rewards. Maybe when the interns return, CubGroceryLiquor will be improved and it will become useable — someday….. ******** I can’t link my old card. If I want to use it at the store to scan my number, I am alway told that my login expired. I can’t just log in. I need to sign out and then sign in again. I mostly use it for gas rewards. I think Costco is cheaper for gas, so I will just use my old card if needed to avoid coupons and forget about rewards. It is not worth it.

Pharmacy downgrade

I use CubGroceryLiquor for refilling my prescriptions. In the previous app I requested the ability to scan multiple prescriptions to order at once to be brought back. It was not. I have arthritis in my hands and I need the ability to easily refill my prescriptions. There are many! I really don’t appreciate this new version that has me put in my prescription number manually. Are you kidding me?? Poor choice for an app. Plus everything is so tiny, it seems to be formatted for a website and not an app. Is this like the gaming company Blizzard, cuz this seems released with all kinds of bugs. As others said, coupons are awful. CubGroceryLiquor is awful. Please give me the email of the person who pitched this. We need to have words. Very upset.

Terrible App

It's a wonder people that want to save money shop target or hyvee CubGroceryLiquor is a joke. Constantly need to log into it and at stores the internet is so slow it doesn't work. When you add a coupon it does this annoying pop up saying it's added and you can't move on until it's gone. Also the one "real" deals are always the same laundry soap of fabric softener. Hardly meats or dairy. No perks like extra gas savings or deals on things you purchase all the time you know they track what you buy. If I could rate a 0 just for the way CubGroceryLiquor functions I would but doesn't seem like Cub cares as a ton of people rate CubGroceryLiquor low with the money they make you'd think they'd put a little effort into CubGroceryLiquor .

Cross Platform App Development - Poor User Experience

CubGroceryLiquor feels very much that it was written using cross platform development tools. It doesn’t deliver a good user experience. Should be native and modern. Feels like a website in an app.

Disclaimer, I’m a developer so this is a technical review in addition to user experience.

1. Sign up with email doesn’t work
2. Sign up with Apple ID doesn’t work
3. Privacy Statement and Terms of Service are not accessible via CubGroceryLiquor , they go to a “we are making some improvements” web rendering
4. The experience doesn’t feel like it fits with iOS
5. Scanning QR coupons in store don’t direct me to CubGroceryLiquor
6. Everything is presented in web views
7. CubGroceryLiquor icon was indistinguishable from the old app, I had to delete both then redownload the new one
8. The local specials that said clip coupon in CubGroceryLiquor , didn’t show in CubGroceryLiquor

Hopefully some large changes happen to CubGroceryLiquor and things get much better.

P.S. the contact us goes to a web form. If I could have sent feedback directly to your app developers I would have done that instead.

Very glitchy and disappointing

Two big problems for me. The coupon page functionality is awful. It reloads constantly which means you have to scroll through everything you have already seen and the pop up showing what you just added is also maddening. The other is that it won’t let you stay signed in. When you are at the store it would be helpful to be able to open CubGroceryLiquor and still be signed in instead of having to sign out and then sign back in. As there have been limited updates to CubGroceryLiquor there has not been enough testing or listening to feedback.

By

Wasting my time

Apps are supposed to save time, this is a waste. Please improve this, Cub Foods- I am a loyal customer for many years. When looking through All Coupons tonight, I am scrolling forever… then decide to sort by category. I was looking for a Meat item, and it did sort the items by category, but I couldn’t go direct to the category I wanted. It said each category, then listed ALL of the coupons in that category… and guess what? MEAT was the last category listed, Ugh! Even BABY was listed before Meat, how many people are shopping for a baby? Not as many as are shopping for meat. Not worth my time to get a mere 50¢ off of something when I purchase two of the item, for instance.

By

Can’t save to shopping list

When viewing items from weekly ad, you cannot add items to a shopping list. I click on an item in the ad to get the details; then there is no option to save it to a list. I select the “Save to List” option from the pop up and nothing saves. With the previous version of CubGroceryLiquor , you could tap on the photo and CubGroceryLiquor would at least circle the item for you for visual reference when shopping. As another reviewer pointed out, the Hy-Vee app is so much better and less time consuming to figure out and use. I’m going to delete the Cub app and probably shop elsewhere, like Hy-Vee. Very disappointed with this confusing upgrade.

By

Improved overall, but coupons worse

So far I like the new app, but adding new coupons is clumsy. As another reviewer noted, there’s only one per screen so it requires more scrolling. There’s also an annoying pop up after adding each coupon that covers nearly the entire screen that suggests other coupons. Please get rid of this. It’s completely unnecessary. I’m already going to scroll through all the available coupons. It’s just slowing down the whole process. The X to close out of it doesn’t work well either.

By

App is terrible!

Old app was frustrating when it came to loading coupons. I didn’t think it could get worse until I downloaded the new app. I honestly have gone to other stores due to the useless coupon feature on the Cub app. No one wants to look at every coupon to load it and no one wants to spend at least 10 minutes doing this. Hy-Vee, Fresh Thyme and Lunds are so much better. I don’t like Hy-Vee but at least their app does take forever to work with. A download all feature for coupons would change everything. Right now my time is worth more than the low coupon savings. And bring back the coupon search feature!

By

Can I give 0 stars?

Horrible app if you are going to shop in-person. The continuing scrolling for coupons and sale items is awful. Every flavor/variation is nice but they are not grouped together. Can no longer just add something to my shopping list like “chips”. That tells me to look at the chips and pick out what I feel like when I’m at the store. I spent 45 minutes compiling my shopping list for one person for one week. With the old app that would have taken less than half that time. After my one shopping trip I deleted the new app. I’m sure it’s great for ordering for pickup, but if you only shop in-person, stick with the old app!

By

Doesn't show rewards

I am a employee at a Cub location and I have CubGroceryLiquor but my only problem is that it doesn't keep me singed in to show my rewards and many others have this problem. My only suggestion is an app update that fixes this issue for me and many others. When I click on my rewards it says sorry your not signed in. Please log out and sign back in. Then on the home page at te top it then says Hi Dylan. Please try and fix this issue. Thanks!

By

Too much

The only reason I had CubGroceryLiquor before what to clip coupons and use the barcode when I was in the checkout line. The new app is clunky when selecting coupons. Every time you clip one, another tab pops up with “other products you might like” and takes about 3-5 seconds to close down which is a long time to wait when it pops open Every. Time. You. Clip. 1. Coupon. Also the number of coupons now is too much. I might feel differently about this if it weren’t for the pop up tab, but to scroll through 400+ items is kind of ridiculous.

By

Missing links

It’s smoother & easier to navigate but it no longer includes links to send items to someone else, and that’s a big miss. My husband does the grocery purchasing in our household & the old web-based app allowed me to send him links to every item I needed. This new version does not, so now CubGroceryLiquor is pretty useless to me except for browsing & looking up items. I guess I could screen shot and text but that’s really not very efficient. Hope links are in the works for a future update.

By

Big Step Backwards

Grocery shopping has become way more time-consuming and complicated at Cub with their “need to buy 5 to get the sale price” bundling nonsense, no print ad with the Shopper anymore, and this worthless app. CubGroceryLiquor doesn’t let you stay logged in; coupons can be difficult to find; and it takes way longer to scroll through the specials when you can only see one item at a time versus six or eight at a glance with the old app. You shouldn’t have to clip ANY coupons in CubGroceryLiquor when you have rewards - the sale price should be automatic just by entering your phone number at checkout. Grrr!

By

Can’t get logged in

I was able to place one order for pick up, since then every time I try to login-after spending hours trying to get my password changed, that’s a whole other mess- I get errors saying there was a problem processing my request. I get the same message on CubGroceryLiquor , the website, phone, computer, etc. this new format with CubGroceryLiquor and website is a disappointment. From my one order I had a credit on my account that I can’t even use because I can’t login.
Will continue to shop occasionally in store but will be moving to another retailer for pick up orders.

By

Nice new features, but coupon viewing needs improvement

Just downloaded the new app. The former app was decent too, but I don’t online shop. New app seems much easier to online shop. I noticed, however, that the coupon clipping section only allows ONE coupon per screen, vs FOUR previously. (Maybe developers can adjust?) 200+/4 is much more efficient. It IS much easier to ‘clip’ a coupon with one tap now, vs 3 taps to complete the ‘clip’ previously. Easy to link to my account. I love my cub!!

By

The old app was way better

The new app is awful! In the old app it was simple to create a grocery list by tapping on an item from the ad, now when you tap an item it takes you out of CubGroceryLiquor entirely. I have to log in every time I open the new app which is a pain as it is not set up to connect to automatic password or facial recognition. I have yet to figure out how to actually clip a coupon, every time I try it sends me to the cub website. The old app was much more user friendly!

By

annoying

the phone app often requires me to log-in again with name and password. this is SUPER ANNOYING in a check out line with people behind you. a very good example of app designed by developers who never use it. if security is the issue use “face id”… duh!

By

I hope Cub didn’t pay for this

Absolutely horrible. My 5-yr-old nephew could have designed a better app.

By

Awful!

Can’t make a list like in the previous app. I’m going to Aldi’s.

By

Uhhhggg!

Just when you finally had the coupons section working well you break it again. Scrolling through the coupons eventually slows CubGroceryLiquor to a crawl and clipping a coupon takes a minute each. Obviously there is a memory bug that was introduced in this latest version. Find some UAT testers please before you release this to the public.

By

Worst app I’ve ever used

Never shows a fuel rewards balance. Requires log ins multiple times. Doesn’t work with FB log in anymore. It’s a joke. Would rather use the previous app.

By

Coupons do not load

Coupons do not load. Log in information is not saved. Lost the Cub Rewards field for fuel savings. Lousy app “update”.

By

This is the worst app I have ever used

It crashed, doesn’t load, doesn’t save any of your info. A constant struggle to log in and customer service has no idea what they’re doing. Doesn’t save payments. I stopped shopping at cub specifically because I use grocery delivery and pick up and CubGroceryLiquor is next to impossible to use. It doesn’t save your lists either.

By

New App

I was excited about the new app…at first. After TRYING to use it, I think it’s worse than the other app. I can’t make a list. I can’t even put anything in the cart. I have to log back in, sometimes while using CubGroceryLiquor . Please fix it!

By

Frustrated

I have had nothing but problems trying to open CubGroceryLiquor. I have tried everything suggested but nothing works. Before this new app I had no problem using it.

By

Only liquor

When I search for groceries all I get is liquor store ads.

By

Hard to navigate

Confusing site; doesn’t work much of the time.
Come on web developers! You can do much better.
Cub is not ranked high as a store locally; you’d think you would try to be the best here at least.

By

This may be the single worst app ever

Wow, this may be the single worst app I've ever seen. I hope you didn't have to PAY someone to have this trash coded.

By

Progressively unimpressed

Every year or two I attempt to use CubGroceryLiquor for shopping, more recently to create an order for pickup. Every time I’ve found something wrong with CubGroceryLiquor that makes it difficult to use, delete CubGroceryLiquor out of frustration, and revert back to other stores and delivery services for my groceries.

This time around I come to find that someone else’s member ID is associated to my online account. They also appear to be an employee, as I am greeted with a message to that effect when I attempt to edit my profile. I created a ticket to get the data corrected, and will once again delete CubGroceryLiquor after getting the data mess cleaned up. (In the time I wasted trying to fix the error, I could have placed an order with a delivery service elsewhere and worked enough to have paid the difference in the cost.)

If you really like the store, my advice is to go there in person and avoid using CubGroceryLiquor . Maybe in a few years they will have fixed CubGroceryLiquor enough to have earned something beyond 1.5 for a rating.

👎 no dark mode option, does not respect Smart Invert accessibility option

For some users who have vision challenges, support for dark mode is an accessibility requirement, not just a visual preference. CubGroceryLiquor not only has no support for dark mode, but it also refuses to respect the system Smart Invert accessibility setting. Please be sure to test your app for this and other accessibility issues!

By

I can not even log in or open CubGroceryLiquor .

By

Crashed & can’t load again

I was almost done with a pickup order when CubGroceryLiquor said it couldn’t load my pickup time (I hadn’t selected one yet). CubGroceryLiquor crashed, when I tried to open it again it got stuck on a loading screen. I even tried redownloading CubGroceryLiquor , but it never got past the loading screen.

I want to use Cub as my regular grocery store but I have to do pickup & the website is difficult to navigate on a phone. Please fix CubGroceryLiquor

By

Unable to log in

Used to work fine, now I keep getting an error when I try to log in to see rewards. Frustrating to say the least!!

By

The original was better - FIX THIS

CubGroceryLiquor logs me out while I’m using it, over and over again - so FRUSTRATING! Earlier versions of CubGroceryLiquor made it so easy to create a list - now it’s almost impossible. I’m so irritated by how difficult you’ve made what used to be a good app. We grocery shop almost exclusively at Cub so please bring back earlier features!

By

Waste of time

Please don’t use this AP, it’s not user friendly. I have tried several different times with some hope, nope it don’t work.
I am finally deleting. Today I talked to 3 different employees to get help so I could use the coupon. They were not able to help either. ( Cub a pro-tip educate your employees on the use of CubGroceryLiquor ) to this point I have given up on it. It’s not worthy of the effort or time. The search function doesn’t bring in let’s say Lean Cuisine even though it’s on sale . The customer
service ended up doing an override today because the store manager couldn’t figure out CubGroceryLiquor .

By

THE CUB PHARMACY APP IS AWFUL

Why doesn’t CubGroceryLiquor have a listing of the pharmacy customer’s medications? It is impossible to order or know the number of refills left without this information??? Very bad app!!! 😡

By

Make list making easy - PLEASE

I want to shop at Cub - I regularly do. I just want an app that makes it easy to make a shopping list. One that allows me to check or uncheck items I frequently buy.
Creating a list on this new app is even harder than the previous version.
It is so clumsy and complicated we have gone back to either hand written lists or use the Paperless app.
I JUST WANT TO MAKE A LIST.
PLEASE MAKE LIST MAKING CENTRAL AND EASY.

By

Terrible App

This is quite possibly one of the worst user interface experiences you'll ever have. CubGroceryLiquor freezes up every time you try to log into your own account, and therefore you won't be able access any personal identifiers or deals.
Want to find out what your cub ID is? Nope.

By

Doesn't show where things are

There is nothing else I would use CubGroceryLiquor for. Useless.

By

Regression

Old app one could at least navigate. New app cumbersome (additional key strokes) and very difficult to use.

By

Horrible app experience

The old app had the rewards barcode in an easily accessible spot. The new app is so convoluted that I simply gave up. It’s so frustrating to need a rewards number to get sale prices. Since I can no longer do this with my app, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

By

Bugs that nobody is trying to fix.

Poorly developed app. It keeps glitching, keeps shutting down, keeps asking to relog, impossible to check fuel rewards balance. It seems like nobody reads the comments and try to fix the issues.

By

Needs fixing

CubGroceryLiquor was ok but now I can’t login any more. Even on their website it gives the same error. Time to get better IT people!

By

It works. Apparently I’m unusual.

Idk I use it all the time and it works great. I don’t know what everybody else is complaining about.
