- The app has a nice design and is easy to use.
- Riding in a driverless car is a unique and enjoyable experience.
I live in Austin and these cars are so stupid. They’re constantly getting confused and stuck in the middle of the road. They hold up traffic and I’ve seen them almost cause countless accidents. I don’t feel safe crossing the streets when they’re driving. PLEASE TAKE AWAY THE SELF DRIVING CARS.
AI doesn’t have them same judgement and self awareness that a person does. They are bad drivers!!
I live in one of the rare SF area where this app can operate. I have been on the waitlist for weeks and zero feedback. Definitely not a company that seems to care about (potential) customers. Not good business. Very disappointing.
I see these vehicles driving by my house four times each evening and they’re empty! I signed up for the service weeks ago and still haven’t received the invite link. With the amount and frequency of vehicles driving by each night, what an inefficient service!!!
Cruise has no conceivable way of getting a lost item back. They were going to make us come back to the same location 24+ hours later and wouldn’t tell us why. It was completely inconvenient and they refused to refund our trips for all the trouble we went through. We will never be using Cruise again
The car doesnt slow down or stop on a right turn. I was crossing the street and almost run over. Had to jump out of the way. Maybe it wouldve stopped but its very concerning.
I was driving (a distance, fortunately) behind a this app vehicle, when all of the sudden it fully slammed on its brakes, and put it's hazards on. There was NO object in front of it: not a car, a person, or an animal. It soon after continued to drive, but only after I had to slam on my own brakes, and after leaving myself and my passengers very shaken up.
Not to mention, I’ve routinely seen these things stopped in the VERY middle of the road with hazards on, rather than simply pulling to the side.
These automated cars should absolutely not be on the road.
Cruise knows I’m in Austin, but is telling me about rides in San Francisco.
The cars are very glitchy and almost met with a major accident. Would not recommend even if it’s free.
Cruise doesn’t support autocomplete on any of the on-boarding forms.
Don’t waste my time, and if you want a credit card up front, support Apple Pay.
Car crossed yellow median line and nearly hit an incoming vehicle. When turning the car almost always crossed into the lane of oncoming traffic.
Only one trip out of three I took did not have a serious issue, each trip was 15-25min. No longer sure if I can recommend this app in good conscious.
a person put a scooter in front of the car so it couldn’t move. the car can’t maneuver around anything (it can only go forward…) so i had to call support. after a screaming match from support and police they literally offered to get me an uber instead lol
There’s no way this will become mainstream soon. The car will cancel on you if it can’t find a suitable place to pull over, which can be tough in a big city. If so, the car will automatically cancel, and your next one will be 20+ minutes away. Contacting support will take at least 10 minutes for an answer. This is a great novelty item for now.
I don’t understand outside service area!
I haven’t used yet for that reason I hope u guys can expand that. Thanks
Our most recent ride never moved toward us on Cruise . When it showed 0 minutes left we walked over 20 minutes to the car icon on the map ( which was stuck and never moved). We got to the icon and there was no car there. Called support and was told “sorry, maybe try again?”. Overall we wasted almost an hour on this and had to take an Uber. Terrible experience overall and will definitely avoid using this app in the future. I’m sure they’ll figure it out eventually but the current cost does not justify the hassle.
Feels safe and like the future. Cruise currently works in some parts of SF from 10pm to 530am for me. It’s not very useful because the active zone doesn’t reach bart and I live in the East Bay. Still, it’s very cool and I’ll update the review when it becomes an actual tool.
I was trepidatious at first, but what a lovely experience this was. It’s truly fantastic to live in a driverless era!
this app is super easy to use and I felt safer in a this app car than any of the rideshares I’ve ever been in. I highly recommend!!!!
this app cars are excellent. They are quiet, don’t smell, drive smoothly, you can control the music… way better than Uber!
Cruise works easy - just like Uber or Lyft. Super intuitive. I love the driverless car rides in SF! Can’t wait for the service area to expand.
I firmly believe in the future of autonomous driving, and this app is doing it the best. Easy to use app, comfortable cars, and responsive support if needed.
I fell asleep because the 25 min ride was so smooth. My spouse too. Ok it was late, but the ride was for sure very smooth!
Riding in a this app feels more comfortable and safe than with a human driver. We very quickly forgot about the fact that there was no human driver - the ride was smooth and easy!
The ride was super smooth. Only had an issue with a weird traffic situation where car was stuck, but it resolved itself as the support tech answered my call. Support answered instantly and knew who I was/what car I had which was great. Would ride again!
Great app, works well.
App is easy to use. As a female, felt safer in a driverless car than a rideshare. Also appreciated that the car actually stops at stop signs.. can’t say that about most human drivers
I’ve taken 20+ rides and it’s always a fantastic ride. It’s incredibly safe and clean.
Love what this app has been working on and the amazing experiences I’ve had with the autonomous cars!
The this app app looks good and is very easy to use. Definitely recommend getting a ride with this app just for the driverless experience.
this app is great. One of few positive things that happened to SF in the past years. Other cities will follow and the socioeconomic impact will be huge. Thank you this app.
Rode in these cars in SF. Cruise is good. Nice design. Lets you call a car. Too bad you need an invite code so not everyone can ride.
Cruise works well and the experience of riding in a car with no up front is like nothing else.
