The links never work and when they do, it stays on the same page that you visited whether it was one day ago or last year. Then, when you try to refresh, it keeps showing old data. Frustrating as heck.

Not happy at all with the new app!!! Where is the customizing if being able to get notified when your school is closed???? Schools are closed today and can’t even bring any school closing up :(
Look like it will be time to delete app and check others tv station apps!

Very poorly written app. The school closing links don’t work. When trying to submit a closing the save button is black just like the background so you can’t see it. I don’t think the programmers tested ABC12News at all. Hardly usable.

This new app doesn’t update news articles timely the weather isn’t like the old app Can’t get weather forecast like I use to. Old app was way Better Now I have to find a different app for My News and weather

Really disappointed that the only location available is Flint. We live north of Bay City but can’t customize the map or weather settings. Is ABC12 saying don’t use ABC12News if you don’t live in Flint?

This new update is awful! Either go back to the old app or employ new developers. Not user friendly, confusing, and did I mention…terrible!

for some reason this doesn’t allow you to have weather for your location, which is very frustrating. if you just want weather use abc12weather instead. and for school closings to show you need to “edit” it into your feed. only giving one star until y’all figure out how to fix this.

Keeps crashing. I give up. Now watching Channel 5 News mobile with no problems.

Downloaded this new app and there’s no icon
App Store search says to open it and it does but still no icon stats in my iPhone. Boo

Since the new app update, we can’t even get the news! Very disappointed.

Locks up way too often

Disappointed. Completely new app and the school closing notification feature is gone. Time to see if wnem or weyi are better apps.

The new app has the school closings. Go into settings and set to favorite. It is there.

With the new 2021 updated app, the default settings do not include most of the news & sections that the old app had on the Home Page. BUT, very east to customize in ABC12News ’s settings to add school closings in the “weather” section once you add it by tapping the green plus sign, along with adding your location & favorite locations. There are dozens of additional sections & features available to chose from to add to the Home Page, remove what you don’t want, and arrange the order of the sections on the Home Page by tapping, holding, and moving them with the gray horizontal bars located to the right of the section’s names in settings. You can always add, remove, or rearrange them again at anytime after.

With all the negative reviews, abc12 should update ABC12News again placing all the sections automatically on the Home page, then let the user customize if they want. Also makes the developer look bad.

ABC12News is not user friendly. Weather radar is junk and never works.
