I love JacquieLawsonAdventCalendar (this is my 5th year getting the advent calendar - they’re always great), but I couldn’t for the life of me find today’s ornament (6 December), and on the 4th, JacquieLawsonAdventCalendar didn’t let me find the ornament. It just appeared with the others. Today could be my fault - maybe I just didn’t see it, but i looked and looked and looked. Is this a glitch or am I just bad at this?? I finally ended up getting to appear with my other ornaments by turning off the feature that shows all the numbers days and tap EVERYWHERE on the screen. I never saw the ornament (I knew what shape I was looking for and haven’t had any trouble spotting them before), but after I finished my maniacal tapping, I checked the London ornaments section in my flat and there it was. If this is a glitch, please fix it. It definitely took the enjoyment out of today’s advent calendar session. Thanks :)

I’ve always loved these calendars. Looking for (and “opening”) the daily ornament, playing the games, watching the town light up, seeing my customized “activities” show up (like snowflakes). Last year and this year, however, were quite disappointing.
It has been much less interactive - few games (and none that show up later (like snowflakes, cookies, etc); no searching for the daily calendar to open, it simply presents itself each day; few activities; all the daily ornaments are simply videos that don’t even appear to show up later in the scene. And the music didn’t even change. All in all, it was quite boring. I’m sad, but I think I’ll go back to paper advent calendars next year or seek out a new online calendar.

Last year as the same way. There are only videos now as you log in each day. Numerous people left reviews about not wanting as many videos. In previous years there were games. It was much more interactive. I was hopeful this year they would take the feedback from their customers. it is so disappointing as the whole family looked forward to this calendar. I will not be purchasing again.

It started out great! Terrific games, lots of fun. But all of a sudden I kept getting an ad to buy the advent calendar which I already had purchased and was using. I could not get the ad to go away and trying to contact Jackie Lawson for help is impossible. They need to figure out a better customer Service plan because what they have now is complicated and confusing. It’s a great product but is not user-friendly For those of us who are not that good with computers and iPads.

My children look forward to seeing what each new day brings, but we miss the more extensive interactive elements from before this was marketed as an app. Now it’s mostly videos each day. Also the snowflakes maker -while we’re glad it’s back this year- was much better when it was free form drawing. This is a fun advent app and I would repurchase, but it isn’t the amazing great delight it used to be.

The background scene while beautifully detailed is almost totally static which was not the case last year. The colors are flat except for the “main” street. The ornaments are okay but nowhere near as fun as the gnomes which were interactive once you got them on your shelf.

The recipes include products I’ve never heard of and have no idea where I’d ever find them. I bought this for myself & 3 friends which I had done last year as well. No one is enjoying this one like last years. I will need to preview next year’s before deciding to buy it again, especially for other people.

The end was very disappointing- last year the gnomes as a group sang a song. Ornaments, of course, couldn’t do anything special.

They’re sending you to the Country cottage which is ok but the furnishings are limited & after a while you run out of things to buy with the coins you earn playing the games.

Our family enjoys this very special advent calendar every year - it is such a treat and has become an annual tradition. This year’s London advent . . . Not your best Jacquie Lawson. The London world is more one dimensional, with the illusion of three layers. I’m missing solitaire, a bear skiing moguls and other goodies that reveal themselves during the month. The bells and whistles on this year’s calendar and even many of the animations are not up the standard of past years. We are looking forward to next year’s calendar and hope for a more interactive world with hidden delights.

We missed the wreath making, the flower arranging and cookie decorating types of activities last year and hoped it was a Covid thing. No activities, though, this year either, and it makes the calendar so much less fun. I’ve bought the calendar almost since it started and bought them for my daughters and friends. All of us miss those activities and seeing the results dotted around the scene. Please bring them back.

I am a long time fan of Jacquie Lawson Advent calanders. I really love that they have now added an app so they can be done and played on phone or iPad. This year, I found the scene very flat and only focused on the front layer. In past years, it was so fun to see the scene come more and more alive every day. This year, hardly anything changed except the building being lit. To me this is my biggest critique. Tho there were some adorable videos, I found the overall calendar boring, even tho I love London. And added suggestion….go back to letting us search the scene for the days video. This years took that fun away from us as it opened directly to the video. I will definitely buy next years. But hope this critique is helpful for future development. My husband and I love the break Christmas balls/ candy break game. I love the tree decorating, snowflakes, cookie decorating, snowmen.

My kids and I have been using your advents for years and have always enjoyed them but were a little disappointed in last years because there was only videos and no activities. We are hoping to find more activities this year and that it won’t be all videos again. The games in the house are great but some of them are also in your cottage app. The advent is beautiful but would like to see more activities. I really do like finding an ornament each day. That is quite fun and nice to add it to my tree. It would be nice to see a few more different activities and games in next years advent. We still enjoy getting one every year.

Love these calendars and have gotten them I think since they came out. The scenes are gorgeous! This year I wish we still had to look for the ornament with the correct date, now they automatically open for you. It’s not the worst thing, I know it’s just me. Also, it seems to me there used to be a lot more daily activities. Loved those, I don’t care how minor or silly they seemed. Where did the wreath decorating and snowflake maker go? I just loved all the little surprises and fun activities. ❤️ All in all it’s a beautiful calendar.

I agree with me bonnie who wrote the original “Hard to do the daily ornaments”. Getting them done is certainly more difficult than last year’s gnomes. Thank you me bonnie for your helpful information.

This is my first year with JacquieLawsonAdventCalendar. I love the artwork and festive look. I wish the sound would work but have noticed that it only works when connected to Bluetooth. Also the ad mentions a snowflake maker but so far I can’t find such a feature.

I can’t say enough about how much I love this advent calendar. I didn’t discover it until 2020, which was the Nordic version, and completely fell in love with it. It’s such a warm and festive activity, the snowy landscapes come to life and feel as though I’m immersed in them, as well as the village. And now I’m experiencing the same with the London version. (London is one of my favorite cities in the world!) I lay in bed at night and let myself feel immersed in the gentle music and festive marketplace and bustling city of London and the River Thames, before dozing off. It sounds silly but it brings me so much happiness. If you made one for every month of the year, I’d buy it. I’ve bought this for a few other people who have enjoyed it, as well. I can’t believe it only costs $5! I hope you never stop making them. The designers are truly talented.

I have spent in a long time. Will look for this each year. The content was great, graphics spectacular, music perfect. Had so much fun with this. Each day my 11 year old and I would open the date and really enjoyed it.

I love advent calendars, and this is THE BEST! I have been enjoying them since they started. Every year gets better and more exciting. They are educational, fun, creative, addictive; and I often find myself playing them long after the holiday is over. I imagine any age would love them, but I can only speak for my 44 year old self. I’ve been enjoying these calendars for several years now. My mom made an advent calendar for me way back in the 1960s, and I love using the old and new to mark the passage of time leading up to Christmas Day. These calendars are always a delight, packed with fun and informative surprises each day. Can’t wait to begin exploring the year’s offering, along with my childhood tradition advent calendar. This is sooooo fun for so many reasons. 1. I love how you can change colors of the furniture in your house/apartment, and design the snowflake on the pillow. 2. I love the animals. (The cat and dog in your house/apartment.) 3. I love the animations and the way different people are in spots around London. For example, if you look at the bench by the roasted chestnuts, there is a bench and every time I go into it, different people are there. I highly recommend this calendar.

You really outdid yourself this year! The London theme is gorgeous to look at and so full of hidden gems to click on that I am still finding cute things everyday. I have gotten this calendar for the past 10 years or so and it gets more fun and intricate and exciting every year. As a cat lover I also love that they get as much screen time as the dogs do.
I belong to your subscription card service and you make it so easy to remember all the birthdays and the cards I send get rave reviews and many times I get the in-card reply with a message from the recipient which makes it even more special.

I’ve been buying these advent calendars for years & years now and positively love them! I also love to gift them to family and we all get to enjoy them together. One of my favorite things has always been the creative aspect of the calendars as well as the lovely videos, hidden “Easter Eggs”, games & charming scenes. I’m so glad the snowflake maker is back & hope the snowman, wreath decorating & stained glass activities will return again in future editions. It’s always fun to share & compare our creations with one another.

My only other wish would be an “Undo” feature on the snowflake maker as I’ve become quite frustrated by adding more layers instead of deleting them using the current method.

Otherwise…. Perfect Christmas Fun! Thanks!
