Unable to update tickets.

Please fix the issue that gives something went wrong when trying to send a response in a ticket.

Tickets are missing

I work a helpdesk. I have the mobile and desktop version. The mobile app is not syncing and the open tickets are missing on SpiceworksHelpDesk . I have reinstalled it with no luck. Its basically useless right now (mobile version). I am running IOS 18.1.1

App is practically useless

I know we shouldn’t complain too much as this is a free app and service, but if an app is going to be provided it is reasonable to expect it to have basic functionality. Aside from the fact that it is lacking some functions like deleting or merging tickets, any time you click on a notification regarding a ticket you get a 404 error. Even worse, after you spend time writing a response to a ticket and try to post it, it is almost guaranteed to say “An unknown error has occurred” and it will not post, even after several attempts or restarting SpiceworksHelpDesk . Exceptionally frustrating to use. Highly recommend at least exploring alternative options.

Abandoned

It feels like SpiceworksHelpDesk has been abandoned and not supported any longer. The notifications work but when clicked always result in a 404 error. If SpiceworksHelpDesk was being supported this would be fixed in a heartbeat. SpiceworksHelpDesk works but not very well. I guess being free you do get what your paying for. Looks like it’s been a year since an update. It shows. Don’t expect anything great from SpiceworksHelpDesk. Just meh, better than nothing but not great.

Edit:
Adjusted rating from 3 to 1 as nothing has been fixed since the initial rating. SpiceworksHelpDesk has clearly been abandoned.

Cannot comment at all

In the past week or so, I have been completely unable to respond to tickets in SpiceworksHelpDesk, whether it's an internal or public comment. I rely on SpiceworksHelpDesk heavily throughout the day so this is a huge letdown. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times and that didn't help. Anyone else having this issue? App is almost useless now, except for notifications. Would definitely like to see this fixed immediately.

Not Great Like The Website

I just discovered spiceworks today, and while I would rate the website 5 stars, SpiceworksHelpDesk isn't good. If I have more than one organization but filter my view based on them what is the point?

No Google Sign In

I’m unable to use SpiceworksHelpDesk anymore because we switched to Google SSO. Also tapping notification, the main use of SpiceworksHelpDesk, always brings me to an error and I have to go find the ticket manually.

Worse than old app

Basic functionality is bugged/missing from this version of SpiceworksHelpDesk , and has been for 6+ months. Many times when I try to send a ticket reply SpiceworksHelpDesk just won’t do it.

Very Unreliable

SpiceworksHelpDesk is very frustrating. All of our team experiences constant problems attempting to add updates, close tickets, add comments, and/or add attachments. Reinstalling SpiceworksHelpDesk works for a day or so before problems arise again. This has been a consistent issue ever since Spiceworks created the new app a few years back. We are looking at other solutions, preferably one that will integrate with Azure/Entra.

Worst app on my phone

This is the most half baked app I’ve ever used. When I get a ticket notification, I tap the notification and it brings me to a 404 page.

The search is awful (desktop version too). Closing tickets isn’t as streamlined as it could be.

SpiceworksHelpDesk itself just isn’t great and there hasn’t been an update in over a year.

Our department is now switching to a new ticket system after a year of hoping bugs would be fixed.

Some basic functions don’t work

It’s not possible to send a message to update a ticket… it spins, does not error, then gives up without warning. Also no simple ability to close a ticket.

It is useful to view tickets, if the email isn’t well formatted, but not great for managing tickets.

Constant notifications

Recently I have been getting the same notifications over and over again. It happens every 5-10minutes. If anything happens (new ticket, assigned to, etc), I get that notification multiple times.

iPad/iPhone

Doesn’t work well on iPad. On iPhone when I hit the back button instead of it going back it opens up a dell advertisement.

It’s functional.

It’s like when your not really handy but you own a house so you kind of have to pretend to be handy sometimes to save money and all of the sudden you have a plumbing issue and have to rip up some drywall and reroute some piping, but praise God…with a bit of effort and a little bit of money you fixed the issue and your bathroom sink becomes functional again…but fast forward 2 years later and you still never finished the job and made it look nice by patching the drywall, painting and whatever else.

That’s SpiceworksHelpDesk, it’s functional, at least in my use-case of walking down a hallway being stopped and asked to fix another issue and with only my phone handy I can put in a quick ticket for myself and my team to see instantly.

However…there’s no dark mode, and that alone necessitates an uninstall, and the last update was 1 year ago, so yeah it’s functional.
Nonetheless the functional nature of SpiceworksHelpDesk prevents me from uninstalling but propels me toward this review in hopes that others agree and the developers decide to put a bit more effort into this thing.

That said thank you anyways, this could be a really wonderful app with a bit more effort. Keep it simple, add some features and update more often.

Need to fix the 404 when clicking a notification.

Everything else works most of the time except clicking on a notification will always produce a 404 errror.

Notifications Repeating Many Times

It seems like starting in October (or perhaps with iPhone 15) the notifications from SpiceworksHelpDesk repeat 5+ times. Every notification does this, so I can rack up dozens with a single ticket response.

Clicking on a notification from the Lock Screen always produces a 404 not found message until I refresh SpiceworksHelpDesk . This has been going on for months. There was an update to fix a 404, but the problem persists.

I have currently uninstalled SpiceworksHelpDesk to avoid my phone blowing up endlessly all day. I do enjoy Spiceworks and this Help Desk, but it’s performance has degraded over the years.

So there is a major issue when adding more than 15 assignees

I have an issue on iOS that basically glitches anytime I try to assign a ticket to someone that is a diffeeent email address than the ones I have already done would be nice if this was resolved

Decent

Overall SpiceworksHelpDesk is decent. Needs some UI improvements like previously stated. The reply function doesn’t work. Also, creating a ticket for another user doesn’t always work well. But overall. Getting tickets on the go is nice. Once updated with fixes for issues this will be nice.

404 error has not been fixed

I get dozens of 404 errors each day while using SpiceworksHelpDesk, essentially rendering the push notifications useless as hyperlinks. Very annoying, should be a very simple feature to fix, yet here we are 6 months later and still happening. Definitely low budget, can see why it’s free.

It’s okay

Recently, SpiceworksHelpDesk has ceased to function for creating tickets. Ads are consistently in the way, and sometimes end up being pressed when you’re trying to press the send button to add some thing to a ticket.
