TopDirector NDI SRT UVC RTSP Reviews

TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP has nice features, however when syncing my IPad Pro 4th GEN 12.9 inch, with my IPhone 12 Pro Max, on a fast Wi-Fi router, the ipad sync up with the iphone, then it freezes. I tried another Wi-Fi router , and had the Wi-Fi router right next to the ipad and the iphone, for a good signal strength, but get same results, it freezes. I also have Fiber Optic high speed internet Service at my Residence, and it’s very fast, so it cannot be a Network issue, nor anything wrong with my IPad Pro 4th Gen, or my IPhone 12 Pro Max. 512 GiG. I have an app that Apple used to have for 5 Bucks, it was called Reco Studio, I just tried it with my IPad Pro 4th Gen, and my IPhone 12 Pro Max, on the same Wi-Fi router, and it works excellent, and doesn’t freeze! There is something wrong with the Top Director App. I did reach out to the Technical Support, was told that the problem appears to be my slow router or iPad and iPhone. I don’t think so. Please update TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP so it doesn’t freeze, also, update TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP so the iPhone doesn’t have to start recording in order to sync it to the iPad. Latest update 7/28/2024, I just completed the latest update this morning, when launching the Top Director app now, I keep getting the option to delete the Top Director album, and every time I select “Don’t allow, TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP will not open, and now after trying several times of saying don’t allow, I finally decided to try “allow”, now TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP crashes every time. I power-cycled my IPad Pro 4th Gen, and tried to open TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP , but it still crashes. Please fix the issue. Thank you..

The layout and functionality is amazing. But TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP continues to crash. At one point it wouldn’t even open until I deleted it and re-downloaded it. Also. Tally doesn’t even work at all. I ran 2 iPhones on NDI HX camera and no tally at all. Tried to broadcast through RTMP Stream. Nothing. I setup my MacBook to run zoom and was able to pick up video through NDI Monitor on OSX. But got no audio from any of the iPhones. So I just requested a refund on all the features I purchased. Too bad because TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP is exactly what a software based video switcher should be. If they get it together and fix these major bugs then I might be willing to purchase again. Until then it’s a major fail on the output section of this.

SRT is only available as ingest, but doesn’t offer SRT output, only RTMP.

Want an app that crashes at the worst time, here is your app.

Want an app that loses your social media setting, by all means, get TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP.

Want an app with lots of promise, and gets you just about the finish line without getting you to end of the race, well just waste your money right here.

Is there something less than one star, maybe an imploding super nova, that is what I'd like to give this waste of time.

Please fix. Very disappointed, TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP has a lot of promise.

Works ok with NDI but SRT DOES NOT WORK. That was the only thing that made me look at TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP but you cant setup the SRT properly and so your stuck.

As of 2024. As a result, I can no longer recommend this switcher. Check out some of the developer’s NDI tools — many of which are excellent.

Just download TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP it looks promising, but it keeps crashing and I paid money for extra services and don’t really trust it right now due to the crashing you can’t have unstable apps for live streaming.

App with a lot of potential but still have issues to solve.

Trying to connect iPhones As cameras is not intuitive like other apps. There is a lack of How to videos or tutorials.

This is some powerful software, but the price for unlocks adds up. Haven’t been able to test all of the apparent functionality. There is a lot.

Looking for something just like this to connect two GoPros and switch between them. Unfortunately, it appears rtmp support is limited to streaming OUT to rtmp. GoPros stream out to rtmp. So I need TopDirector to support rtmp IN.

Great that they've added NDI support. I wish they make a tutorial on how to make it optimal. It's still super laggy and app randomly crashes.

I downloaded TopDirector and purchased several in-app features. TD features are one time purchases compared to monthly subscription of competing products. Better value with TD.

I did have a little trouble with initial setup. There is a refresh arrow and “Restore” for purchases you have to utilize properly to get working. NDI in app purchase works great now, but lagged and locked up on initial install. However, after a quick delete and re-install of both TD and TDCam apps on iPad and iPhones, respectively it works flawlessly! 1080p with very low latency. Barely noticeable video delay (latency).

Support responded in less than 24 hours! I had already resolved NDI problem, but support also responded with a future update regarding a use case I proposed. TopDirector VIEW app is scheduled to be released soon. Been a very positive customer experience. Looking forward to next feature update.

I really loved using TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP. And eventually, I did purchase most of the pay features. However, my iPhone was acting up and I had to delete a lot of apps for memory. Top Director was one of the apps I had to delete.

Now that I have redownloaded TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP, I don’t see any way I can recover the features try at I ALREADY PAID FOR! Although TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP is amazing, I will not spend any more money on it, since I already paid for most of them. I think there were only maybe 2-3 features that I did NOT purchase.

Any help? Any fix? I would love to be able to use TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP again. Thanks!

So excited getting TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP , this is a totally video switcher on iPhone! I’ve been using many different traditional switchers for a living, TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP is totally game changer!

Take the time to get to know TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP, it will pay you back and then some. The developer keeps improving and adding features.

No ridiculous rent to pay to use TopDirectorNDISRTUVCRTSP and it's additional features, pay once and that's it.

As a retired television production professional this feels like a Grass Valley on your iPad or iPhone.
