Beware Cosmos crashes anytime you open it or are happily scrolling through the feed(s). Found an element you’re interested in sharing or saving? Too bad! Refreshing the feed to load new clusters? Too bad! Exploring related/relevant elements? Again, too bad! It’s a beautiful app with beautiful content from all over the place but just poorly designed.
Additionally, their customer service team is in response on all outlets including IG and email… that is, if it truly exists to begin with.
I’ll keep it just in case the developers fix all of the issues.

I was going to try this out but I guess I’m not cool enough to know anyone that can get me an invite. Maybe if I were more of an influencer.

The onboarding process to even use Cosmos is one of the worst I’ve seen; infuriatingly slow with one peice of information per screen as you slowly enter your info to even get into Cosmos . Just let me sign in and go. And it collects way too much personal info.
In addition, $8 a month is a laughable price. Guys it’s a bookmark and content manager.

to me it seems like it to me

Seems like a cool idea but how do you get an invite code
by Sweetviciouslies
Everytime I type in a password to get into Cosmos it says “user not found” can’t really give a full review if I don’t have access to Cosmos 🙄

Cosmos is horribly glitchy and slow. No option to make an account with Apple ID. Forced to add widgets and search tools to your phone before you can use Cosmos , and limited to only 500 posts. Halfway into looking to a related image it changes the source and you have to back track 3 pages to find the source you clicked on again.
It’s like pinterest, without ads, and with highly highly curated aesthetic images. This seems good in concept but often time the similar results are too similar. It just seems u usable most of the time and I would never trust an app this glitchy to replace pinterest.

Capture is easy but two big issues: to push the social aspect, Cosmos hits you first with a bunch of other content to follow. Pretty uninteresting, but more importantly — is it a social media app? Or is it a personal content curation app? Currently does neither well. I could overlook that if it could default to your personal content, but it takes a few clicks. And the second issue is that sometimes my personal collections just don’t load. I would pay for Cosmos if (a) you could opt out of social and (b) if content loaded properly.

Got referred here as an alternative to Pinterest and it's very buggy. I downloaded it via Desktop because I like to use Pinterest on my mobile and on the computer for inspo during my writing. For some reason on the desktop it will only work as a small rectangle, if you make it full screen you can no longer scroll and everything is blown out.

Cosmos is kinda cool as a Pinterest alternative. However, when you follow the source link for the images a lot of them trace back to some instagram account that makes ai generated images. For example, if you search armor, a lot of the details don’t make sense realistically. If you are an artist that needs reference photos I wouldn’t recommend using Cosmos.

I’ve been enjoying Cosmos so far; however, I often come across inappropriate content on my feed when I primarily use Cosmos for interior design/architecture, even though NSFW is turned off. It would be great to have the ability to long press an element to remove it from the feed. Additionally, a ‘Show Less’ option in settings, where users can select specific AI tags they’d prefer not to see, would significantly improve the user experience.
by Indiminett
Cosmos is fine and works as intended, but I don’t understand why anyone would pay to use the premium features when you could just use pinterest for free. It’s exactly the same, just with a little more serious vibe and more paywalls.
by Rnanl
there clearly aren’t enough users on Cosmos for it to be usable
by Imcesarleyva
Neat app but elements get lost in space too much or take longer than expected to post. Would love to see the items right away or a link to those items when they’re lost so we can bring them back.

I like using this for work (as a designer) mostly for the match-making it does when you select one photo it shows you everything visually similar. I want to browse the whole web like this!
It’s also nice for art or photography stuff that I think would be great on Apple TV. So the main thing I hope to see is a TV version :)
by Ggiovanii8
Don’t understand why I would need to pay for a “premium” version of Cosmos if I already paid for a yearly subscription? What more does Cosmos have to offer if I buy a premium version when I’m just creating and adding to my Elements.

Cosmos has a lot of potential. I really appreciate what they're going for and I'm so happy to find something that might actually be able to fill the void that was left behind after weheartit became a dumpster fire. My only major criticism so far is that Cosmos seems a bit unstable, like it forcibly shuts down a lot. It's new though so being a bit buggy is understandable. I really hope they keep implementing and improving though, definitely excited to see Cosmos grow. Definitely worth trying out if you liked weheartit or you like platforms like pinterest and tumblr.

Currently it’s completely unable to save them and a lot of the stuff I would add are from TikTok slideshows. I don’t want to have to import each photo one by one please just have it import the images separately or have the entire slideshow be imported as one element
by Mithraditic_mule
I use it for fashion and style inspiration.
Likes: The photos are high quality. Ability to filter for photos, videos, links. No visible ads. Albums. Albums with different picture sizes is neat, like a mosaic. Adding to album is easy. Ability to search by color is a cool and very useful concept. I haven’t used any sharing features.
Dislikes: The color picker is small for my fingers and imprecise. I need precise colors. Organizing my album makes items disappear; I have to exit the album and go back in to see them. Organizing photos also shifts them weirdly and takes more time. Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between a photo slideshow and navigating the original search results.
Suggestions: Add a type-in field for the color picker.
More space in description field. Fix bugs.

I’ve really been loving using this app. It’s a good way to collectively organize all my inspirations from different platforms. (Tumblr, Pinterest, Are.na, Insta, Safari etc) I get creative directory to organize all elements no matter when I saved. I can save works from my own platforms and gain exposure. It’s a clean clear concise app but the only reason I don’t use it everyday is because no matter how many people I follow the feed takes an eternity to load new pictures that’s the only advantage Pinterest has rn. Also NO ADS is completely clutch and so visually pleasing.
by Mamandinec
If you’re a Pinterest user but need a cleaner and easier way to save and discover content look no further. this app makes it easy to save ANYTHING you find on the web and everything is very intuitive. Pinterest has become such a commercial channel my eyes got tired just open and trying to find content. *****

Finally a proper app to replace the messy mood boarding mix of Pinterest, photoshop, and random images being sent in slack. This really is a dream come true. They market it as a mix of tumblr and Pinterest - and I’d go even further to say it actually has a budding culture of its own. Excited to get my team using this and to see what other great creators come up with. So thankful this exists!

this app is like that first breath of air you take when you arrive in that beautifully natural environment like a forgotten forest or a pristine beach or faraway river. With that level of organic authenticity, it allows for a type of visual & informational curation that few platforms allow for and even fewer make truly seamless. Must download.

I love this app. The concept is so simple that it’s hard to believe it didn’t already exist. The internet has become so convoluted and the fun of what Instagram used to be has been overtaken by the stress of societal pressure and “likes”. this app strips all of that away. It makes browsing the internet intentional. Not to mention super user intuitive. No likes, no posting, just your own beautiful little this app.
by The7am
The social media landscape is at an all time height. Flooded daily with videos and images from across the web, we are constantly bombarded with a insane amount of content.
this app is the wildcard pick I have been obsessed with since it’s release. A beautifully designed UI for creatives, and an extremely innovative tool for creating boards and organizing inspiration.
this app is not an app like you know. It isn’t about likes or promotion, or any sort of traditional social media interactions. It’s UI stamps Pinterest by a mile.
The best part… still early in its development, the team is adding features daily with innovation and odes to creatives across the internet looking for a safe space.

What makes Comsos so great is the ability to go down deep rabbit holes of interests without being overwhelmed by ads or being forced into sponsored posts. You can be inspired, organize what inspires you, and discover what inspires from others in a simple and straightforward way.
Love it.
by Nappels
As an artist, this feels like an app built for me. I love the mix of beautiful curation, utility to save all my content across the internet, and the rabbit holes of discovery I can go down. This feels simultaneously like a new space on the internet and a nostalgic one that harps back to the days where we weren’t inundated with ads and memes.
by _CCK_
this app is the first app since maybe the original Instagram where it makes my life better instead of worse. See for yourself.
by Purpliciouschowder
Love Cosmos! this app is one of the main places I go to find assets for mood boards and overall inspiration for creative projects 🙌🏽 All of the content is top tier…eveything is beautiful, the design of Cosmos is intuitive and the algorithm that suggests similar photos to what you’re currently viewing is A1! I’m always going down the rabbit hole in directions I wasn’t even planning on, and finding gem after gem 💎 Definitely recommend checking it out!
by AshSchap
Cosmos is great. I am a lifelong hoarder of links, memes, gifs, and images. this app gives me a place to display my collections in a way that isn’t cringe like pinterest. I feel like the vibe of Cosmos is really elevated and the designers clearly put a lot of thought and care into the UX flows. It integrates seamlessly with other apps! I’m not even using instagram bookmarks anymore, I just share everything to this app. Currently i’m using it to create a mood board for my house. It’s nice to have a platform to express creativity but where the platform isn’t constantly trying to sell me something.
by Paigestar9
Since WeHeartIt shut down I’ve been struggling to find a platform like it that isn’t Pinterest. Cosmo is a great replacement and tbh better than the other too (visually pleasing, cozy, doesn’t have the social media vibe like other apps). Like if tumblr and pinterest had a kid. It would be this. And it’s perfect.
by Spunoutsugar
Held the developer hostage for a better review, thank you for your timely response! Very cool app!
by OhYeahJulia
Thank you for making an alternative to pinterest. They lost me with all the ads. Can you guys add a way to hold down on pictures to save them when you scroll down to the suggested images? Right now you've gotta click on the image to save it, and then i lose my place
by Uouoeheisbwnsb
Genuinely a beautiful app. It’s like Pinterest, but so much better.
Hope it doesn’t get ruined like Pinterest with future ads.
by TKFitty
finally! a place to be creative without the pressure of likes, follows, comments. how I curate my interior spaces, my outfits and my love of food.
by Tim92xg
this app feels like a mix between Tumblr and Pinterest. I’m obsessed
by Lias S.
this app is it! Goodbye Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc etc … we’ve evolved.

How does one go about getting an invite code?

I love this and the browser version is so clean.
Please tell me we’re getting iPad app that looks like the browser version 🙏🙏🙏

Refreshing from the normal social media photos and likes and comments aren't present. Just art

Incredibly artistic and well designed app - constant flow of new inspiration and photo sharing, clever organizational tools for saving and following others’ images, incredible swipe up AI generated capability to find similar images for mood boards and inspiration. An artists or designer’s dream tool.
