Possible areas for improvement

I have been using TeamReach for over a year now as a manager for a boys U15 travel soccer team. Conceptually TeamReach is ok, but like everything else their is room for improvement. Firstly the notifications does not always come through. I’ve sent messages to the group and not everyone will get it. First I thought they didn’t have their notifications turned on, but that was not the case. Notifications are not consistent. I sent a group message and my wife who was sitting next to me on the couch did not get a notification that something was posted to the group. Secondly, I recommend their be a way to disable or remove the “maybe” from the RSVP options. When people answer maybe it makes it difficult to know if you will have enough players for events. Thirdly, I suggest you implement a read receipt for messages (like Heja) so the sender can see who have seen the messages especially when we already know the notifications are not reliable. This will let the sender know to contact players directly by other means (text) if an answer is needed immediately.

Great team app!

TeamReach is great for letting team members know when group play is scheduled and when using the calendar function, everyone can see who will be there. Adding “events” to the calendar is quick and easy. Our pickleball group used to message each other on their phones all day trying to see who was playing that day, and it was aggravating getting all those text messages all the time. TeamReach has made it so much more organized and everyone can see for themselves who will be playing.

An additional feature that would be helpful is a way for administrators to access emergency contact information, address, phone, health issues, etc. should the need arise. Playing with different age groups (some in their 80’s) creates a need for this information- just in case- and would be great to have handy within TeamReach instead of having to keep up with a separate document or database/app.

Thanks for developing this helpful app!

Good, But Needs Work

It’s simple and easy to use, however it could use some work. There is a serious lag or glitch that needs to be addressed firstly. It could unintentionally cause misclicks and you are more likely to sign up for the wrong dates because of it. This has caused many issues and frustration in the very large recreational group I’m in.

Secondly, there needs to be a tab that shows everything you are signed up for. This would make it easy to see what is upcoming, and also a good way to check for accidental sign ups due to the lag.

Thirdly, it would be great if there were alerts. I’m in a large group that includes a waitlist but when you move up from the waitlist to the “yes I’m going,” you are not alerted about your new change in status. This has also led to much frustration in our group and causes people to be no-shows when they don’t know they are moved up. The only way to know currently is to constantly check.

Lastly, the messaging should be in a separate location from the main posts to avoid confusion. It is currently all mixed together and feels disorganized and confusing.

I do appreciate that it is a simple app without excessive bells and whistles. Easy to sign up for stuff apart from the lag. And you can set limits to how many people can sign up and don’t have to invite people individually. I also like that there are not advertisements; that does count for a lot. With a few interface tweaks TeamReach could be perfect.

Great for our golf league!

I really like TeamReach and it’s a super upgrade from trying to use WhatsApp for scheduling subs and games. A few improvements would really elevate TeamReach, so I am hoping the developers will consider…Notification is needed when someone gets moved from the waitlist to the roster. It would help us immensely and I’m sure others would benefit. For our purposes, it would help to have a “request for sub” button within the calendar that would send a notice to all in the group. It would be best under the +add comment section, or within that section as a sub-section. ew messages or replies aren’t always at the top or highlighted well, as ‘new’. And finally, add to the “do not disturb” selection that allows for TeamReach to be quiet during sleeping hours each night (like the iPhone).

Thank you for considering and keep up the great work.

Problem with Direct Messages

Overall a good app. I’ve used it for my teams for the last 5 years and are currently on 7 different groups.

Than you so much for TeamReach . It has made communicating with my teams so much easier.

A couple of suggestions that would make TeamReach perfect for me.

The main problem I have is with direct messaging, you cannot see who you are messaging without having to first go into the message then tap the top again. It is such a headache when you have multiple direct messages going on at once. I need to check all of them to find the correct thread. I often just start a new message because it’s such a headache. Please make it so I can see who I'm messaging without going into each individual message. I don’t need to see my name when replying, believe me I already know I’m on the direct message.

Maybe create a setting for the leader to choose to allow everyone to see the results of a poll without having to answer it. I now include a extra option just so parents can see if their child has answered the poll without screwing with my count.

Allowing more than 5 photos to be uploaded at once would also be great.

I tried them all...this was the best!

My 12-year-old daughter plays on three travel/club teams and they each utilize a combination of group texts, email, and Facebook. Functionally, it’s a mess as not everyone is accessing information in the same way. I assist her basketball coach with admin tasks and he asked me to find an app that could replace these other methods of communication. I tried out TeamSnap, TeamApp, InstaTeam, Sportzly, and Remind. I also explored paid services like Thapos, Coach Hippo, Pronto, and RosterBot. This one was the best to fit our needs, which were:
1) Group messaging or “chat” page
2) Scheduling with iCal or google calendar export
3) RSVP/availability function
4) Direct messages
5) Surveys
6) Photo upload
7) Sharing contact info
The message board function was most important to this team. I also wanted something that was easy to use and intuitively designed. Coach and some parents are not tech-saavy, and I don’t want/need a million functions available to parents. This one fit the bill and was totally free. No banner ads, no hidden functions that are “subscription-only”. There is no reason to pay $150+ in annual fees for the extras. It just stresses everyone out. I also like that the banner and icon are totally customizable. Cannot recommend TeamReach enough, will be suggesting the other teams use it too!

The best app for organizing formal and informal sports groups

My wife found TeamReach a couple of years ago as we were brainstorming about how to handle an adult soccer group that I got saddled with helping to keep organized. The group was just a pick-up game group, but we had a lot of “regulars,” and we all loved playing together. I knew we needed something more than the clunky email list we were using, but it had to be simple and low to no cost. TeamReach has been phenomenally helpful, and has helped us get through COVID (so far), which has required a whole new level coordination and communication. It has been so successful (eliminating about 90% of my manual organization activities) that it got referred to another sports group: old guys doing Pickle Ball. Highly recommended!

Great App

We use TeamReach to communicate with our Parents/ Caregivers and Special needs players. Love the ease of the calendar for making any changes to our schedule and to alert to cancellations, etc. would love to be able to add documents into the calendar, such as every week we have scores and averages, it would be nice to be able to attach that to have a reference .Billy at Support suggested save it as a PDF or attach it as a spread sheet for now, but would pass along the suggestion. Also would like more of an online help section that would address common issues or step by step directions . TeamReach is very self explanatory for the most part, but feel I may be missing out on its full potential.

Easy to Use and Good for Group Scheduling

I have been using TeamReach for scheduling pickleball play at various locations. It is easy to use and has helpful features for setting attendance limits, viewing who is participating, creating repeating events and duplicating events. I would love to see the list of names always alphabetized. It’s very time consuming updating the attendance for those that are no shows or come but haven’t responded YES. I would also like the option to ONLY delete or change a future occurrence of a repeating event. Having attendance history is important to me. Any chance of a future enhancement for exporting this data for record keeping purposes?

Great App, used for various soccer teams

My soccer club and I have been using TeamReach for a few years now and it’s been very functional and easy to use. Works on various mobile platforms, is reliable and is great for organizing and coordinating events. Some features within allow for additional fields when planning events, the attendance feature is great too (you can keep track of who actually showed up). If you have several teams, this app makes it easy to separate them so that they are individual groups but you can still communicate with all of them if needed.
Overall great reliable and functional app, helps my daily life tremendously.

Great app for team communication

I love TeamReach . It’s easy to use and is a great tool for scheduling and keeping my team up to date.
There is only one real issue I have and I hope the developers see this comment.
I have uploaded images and some can’t be removed. Since I coach several teams, i have images and files from basketball displaying in my other group (volleyball) and can’t be removed. But it only seems to be in my “app”, not other’s.
Also some images that I never uploaded from my phone have made it to the group, but are only visible to some users; while others can’t see those.
Overall, I couldn’t do without TeamReach.

Cool app and useful!

TeamReach is a great alternative to using unruly group texts. Pretty simple to use and has event dates for practices, play times, etc. You can vote Yes or No if you are attending and can also see the list of confirmed attendees. One improvement I would suggest is to have the attending Yes/No buttons on the calendar event overview. Some people don’t even realize those are there, because they are on the details page which you have to click to get to. I think they would be used more if people knew they existed and would reduce sending messages wanting to know if anyone is coming out.

Pretty good app

So far so good. I have been managing my kids’ soccer and baseball teams for years and this works really well. I do wish there was web based access to use from a computer as trying to input all the calendar info and contact info was cumbersome. Also the ability to download the calendar as a whole vs having to download each date separately is cumbersome.

Update: the develop responded that I can subscribe to the events calendar. Thank you. Except that so far, the calendar is over 7 pages long, so how are we supposed to readily find the subscribe button? It should be at the top of the page.

Exactly What I Was Looking For!!

If you/your family are involved in multiple activities or clubs (being a member or a coordinator), this is TeamReach for you! Create different calendars for different activities and simply share the calendar through TeamReach or through text. No one can change anything unless you invite someone to be a leader of the individual calendar with you. AND your invitees can choose to mark if they are going to attend the event or not.

My only desire would be to be able to see a whole calendar view rather then just a list. Either way, this was exactly what I was looking for!!

USTA TENNIS

I am the captain of three USTA tennis teams. TeamReach helps me communicate more efficiently with each team by keeping each team’s communications separated into their respective groups. Many of our players are on more than one of my teams and TeamReach allows us to keep it straight on which team each message applies to. This is much more effective than having multiple texts buried in your phone and having to search every text in your message app. With this app, just open TeamReach then choose the team name and all the communications are all there in one place and in chronological order.

Love this App!

I’ve been a coach for several decades now and the this app app is by far the best one yet for staying in contact with players, parents, and admin. As a new assistant athletic director for female sports, I’m encouraging our entire coaching staff to use this platform. It’s user friendly, easy to set up, and an extremely effective communication tool. Attaching schedules, team documents, and highlight photos is a breeze. Support feedback has been immediate. I sent an email question and got an actual phone call from a live support team member. The customer service is top-notch. Five big shiny stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for this app.

By

Great Team App

Have been using this app for 2yrs.
I like all of the features and you can be very detailed in delivering messages, directions, field locations, etc for the parents. My Assistant Coaches like it and parents really like the ability to message one another and upload team photos.
Once in a while it will glitch out and it can be frustrating when trying to create a new event but nothing major. I just pause and try again at a later time.

Awesome app, and FREE!

I don't write reviews. However, TeamReach has made my life as a soccer team manager so much easier. The attendance feature is just amazing, so much better than trying to use e-mail or google docs. Some of the parents who also have the free team snap actually like this program better. I did have an isolated issue and contacted this app. They were quick to respond with an email AND and phone call. One of the parents liked TeamReach so much, she starting using this in an elementary classroom. As a free app, two thumbs up!

By

Lacking some features

TeamReach is fine for sending communication out to the team and setting up a calendar but isn’t great for sharing pictures/videos and collaboration. One of the most frustrating things is app orders posts by most recently commented instead of most recently posted, resulting in people missing posts. You can’t tag people on TeamReach , you can’t share videos, and the photos shared are terrible quality. I do like the “also known as” feature so parents can add their kids name, making it easier to associate people.

By

Great App, great customer service!!

I use TeamReach for my kids teams and with some social circles, it is easy and a big help when communicating with large teams. I was one of the leaders in one of the groups, which had over 200 members, when the season was over I accidentally deleted the entire group, I found out when the main leader sent me a text asking if I deleted it, and that he had no way of contacting the team. I quickly emailed support and the immediately restored the group!

By

Good app but has some bugs....

This is a good app to keep everyone on a team in the loop with schedules, and other events. TeamReach would be great if videos could be added. It has a video feature but it crashes and can’t be used. And there is no video option to upload videos from your library, only photos.

Other than that, the calendar works, and it has all the important options when adding events, including reminders.

Awesome support

I am a school teacher and use TeamReach for my students to contact me when they need help while at home. I had a situation with someone entering TeamReach that should not have been there. The support team walked me through how to prevent this from happening and made TeamReach even more user friendly for me. The support team sent their phone number and when I called they answered right away with politeness and sincerity in helping resolve problem I had.
I highly recommend TeamReach.

A very humane interface

The developers have put a lot of thought behind how TeamReach is used by real people. The interface is consistent across each feature, making it more intuitive and easier to learn by non-technical users. I’m using TeamReach to organize a group of volunteers that provide comfort dog and therapy dog visits to many different communities. I look forward to seeing features that provide additional ways to authorize, organize and filter calendar entries.

Makes life easier

Our whole school thanks to our new AD has started using this for all athletic programs and since I am involved with all of them in one way or another being a cheer and dance coach it make everything so much easier for changes and keeping up to date on everything. I recently had a glitch happen and within a couple hours they helped me out and everything was back to normal - glad this app is available!!

5-star app

Change from my last review. It's now a 5-star app without question. Bugs were fixed. What makes this better than others is the ability for team members to rsvp to games.

One thing I would suggest is to notify the administrator(s) when somebody changes their RSVP

Another note...they are very good at responding to suggestions on how to improve TeamReach . I've spread the word about TeamReach to a couple of other managers in my softball league

Great App

I was looking for an app to organize our school sports. I tired a couple apps that I was not impressed with before finding this app. We have over 12 sport teams and organizing the games and being able to communicate with parents and coaches is very important. The this app app has made communicating games/practices as well as any updates very easy. I would recommend TeamReach to anyone looking for a way to organize all your teams information.

By

Almost a 5

I’m a troop leader and had a hard time finding an app to communicate with all parents. I’m hoping TeamReach does just that. The only thing I would loved changed is if I could label the direct messages. I manage multiple levels and don’t want to get who I’m talking with confused. Other than that it’s great so far

By

Great team communication tool

We use TeamReach for team communication, and prefer this to other communication apps or platforms that other groups we are involved with use. It’s very intuitive, I like that you can upload pictures, and with the notifications turned on we feel confident we’re not missing any important updates from the coach or other parents. Highly recommend!

One of the best Apps for team sports

I love everything about TeamReach! Only request I would have is to have a team roster and contact info, ie phone and email, for not only parents but the coaches as well. I love the message board, season calendar, picture posts and direct messaging ability. Please keep up the good work and I will definitely keep recommending TeamReach to fellow coaches!

I use the app for many different golf organizations. Easy to use and makes scheduling things very simple. Many of the users are older and maybe "less techie" but they all seem to be able to handle it. There is one feature I have been looking for though. It would be helpful for our group and others to have a signup or attending deadline for an event. For example if I set an event to be at 8:00 am and I want signup to stop the night before at 9:00pm. This eliminates having to shuffle people from the multiple teams attending the event.

How come when someone posts it’s in yellow?

Setal   1 year ago

The app allows anyone in! Which i found out by joining another team...all I needed was a name. Only a leader should be able to accept members.

Can you be both a player and a leader in the app?
