I used the QR code which just kept sending me in a circle to download ParkUpApp , which I had done. There’s no way to just type in the address you are at as an alternative because the gps was not finding my location. The attendant had no information besides “download park up” and I had to go to an atm and pay that way. I use QR code’s to park around LA all of the time and have never had any issue.

If I’m giving sensitive data and financial details to an entity, I should be able to delete my account and easily request the deletion of my data. That lack of account-deletion feature, along with the outdated (and obviously template-based) website, make ParkUp a super skeezy app.

I don’t like the idea of a random company building up a database of phone numbers, credit cards, and plate numbers all linked together. You can’t delete your account which is also icky.

I was towed today for a glitch in this app. I registered and paid when prompted by a QR code. I guess there was a glitch and the manager at the lot was of no help. The business I worked at says this has been a chronic problem since the lot switched managers and to this app system. I’m out $452 over a glitch now.
