Update: still the worst company of my life. Guess what my cameras are yet again not working. They said it was my internet so we changed internet companies and guess what their cameras yet again don’t work! Don’t waste your money with this company. No response yet again from anyone I’ve been trying for two weeks now.
The company SafeStreet that monitors everything is the worst! I had everything installed at the beginning of June and I’ve had nothing but problems. I spent $1500 on cameras that 90% of the time don’t work. My doorbell camera stopped working after two weeks! I’ve called the rep who installed that he doesn’t respond, I’ve called the customer service number and can never get someone on the phone. I’ve sent emails trying to get anyone to respond and no one does. Seriously the worst company ever! Would not recommend them to my worst enemy! Save your money and go with a better company.
How is it that the doorbell camera can see and record children walking down the sidewalk, but is unable to detect a car driving into or out of the driveway? Perhaps the purpose of the doorbell camera is really to just identify people who are standing in front of the doorbell camera. If so, then, that limited range of view limits the value of the having the camera to begin with. glad I’m not paying a monthly fee for the equipment.

Multiple calls, three techs later, camera does not work, door bell doesn’t work and yet we signed a 2 yr contract for monitoring of nothing.
was assured the most recent tech would have a new doorbell to install he did not. not quite sure what i’m paying for other than an annoyance! Do Not Waste your money!!!
The service came with the house we bought unfortunately or I would have gone with Ring. MConnectedHome rarely works properly and is not user friendly. Also the FAQ pages are never “found.” It’s also crazy expensive. They tried to upcharge a door sensor for $180 and said it was a great deal. I can get an Arlo sensor for half that price.
I feel like companies that force you into a long term contract is because they know their product and services are below average. Not happy at all with products or services. Can’t wait to get out of this contract. Will be recommend or use and will start people away from using them.
In addition to my previous post: a burglar can be in your house and out within 90 seconds. It takes about 30-45 seconds for my app to open, recognize my face, try to load camera, to only see an error message. Burglar is already in my house at that point. Don’t count on these cameras or app or safe streets to prevent anything. They can’t even prevent a headache.
For the last few weeks it takes forever to login via face or manual password and when it does it says Connection Time out. Now this is not my Wi-Fi as everything else in the house has no issues staying online via ATT internet 2Gig, including my security pad which this is also tied to. App has been just trash for almost a month. IOS user.
Tried calling this morning to reconfigure my garage door and front door camera. All I received from safe streets “customer service” was “we can’t help over the phone and will need to send out a technician” - for what?? It’s a configuration issue that I’m completely capable of fixing with some assistance. I don’t need nor do I want to have to wait for a technician. When I asked why - the kid hung up on me and I’ve not been able to get back in touch - guess they aren’t Inter in helping a paying customer
I made the mistake of switching internet providers 6 months ago, and have not had a working doorbell camera since. The navigation on the device is impossible along with a separate app which is needed for some reason. I called customer service and the tech nearly fell asleep on me when attempting help. I told him I will call back. Had to have a service tech come out to help. I guess if I opted for the device with a monthly payment, I may not be writing this. I understand now why they have a free option.
The new Safe Street system is slow to respond and doesn’t sync well on mobile devices. The time is incorrect and cannot change in settings. I have been using this for about 10 days. This is one of the most worthless aps and security system programs I have used I last 5 years. I had AT&T for 3 years and Ring for the last year. Both had far better Aps and better quality cameras. I would not recommend this service. I’m just glad I didn’t sign up for their paid monitoring plan. I wanted to see how reload the system and Ap were before committing to an agreement. I assume this is why they are giving away the front door camera, control pad, motion and 2 door sensors. In my opinion do your homework and get a better system.
MConnectedHome has generally been buggy and lagging for the past six months, often making it almost useless to use in a reasonable amount of time (good luck seeing the camera on the front door before someone is gone.) I often have to restart MConnectedHome to get everything in it to refresh. And now, in the newest update I have to decline their marketing communications before I can use MConnectedHome EVERY TIME I open MConnectedHome !
Lots of bells and whistles but overall not as effective as a ring system I installed myself. The cameras are not very sensitive and will not pick upper smaller sized dark skinned people or smaller people who move quickly through its field, though it gets my white cat but always misses my 110 lb black lab. Don’t use disappointed as a nickname, either they are all taken or it’s been blocked.
The Garage door will not stay on MConnectedHome as one of my devices. It keeps disappearing. I can’t get anyone to help fix the problem either. MConnectedHome also freezes a lot, and the sound quality to the doorbell camera is not very good. The delay when speaking to someone on the other end is too long .Good thing as a part of my new home they let you try the system for free for a year. However, in the beginning, I couldn’t get a technician that wanted to come out because I was looking only to try out the free applications and devices that were offered. Making a sale to the rep was more important than having me try the product first. Overall, this hasn’t been a no hassle easy system. It’s aggravating and has me thinking thank goodness I was able to try this company for free first.
App often freezes, doesn’t let you log in (continues to reload log in screen when you enter your password), & doesn’t provide an option for restart/concerns with technical difficulties. Extremely concerned our house is controlled by an app that freezes- I do not recommend
Have had this security system for a year now and we’ve always had issues with it. Camera is never punctual, takes forever to load and the lock never ever ever seems to work when trying to lock and unlock on MConnectedHome and also when trying to unlock in person. Thank goodness the garage doesn’t give us that much of a hard time. Battery is always low even when my husband re charges it. It is so frustrating and also, what’s the point of it if it won’t pick up on accurate movements and give you alerts of anything when it happens right there in the moment. We’re so disappointed.
M.Connected is cluttered. Takes forever to login as it seems to go through a couple steps.
Can’t setup a widget in iPhone for thermostats upstairs and downstairs. Had ecobee before. Sleek. Functional. Easy to schedule. Could see temperatures and status on Home Screen.
Every time the WiFi power goes out or a new router is set up, the process to reconnect the cameras and notifications require someone to come out and reset everything. Extremely un handy. App is not very intuitive.
System relies on a “wifi” support from outside contractors . The ability to see live video via doorbell and external camera has not worked for over three weeks and provider admits no solution currently unknown. Security systems should not a single point of failure.
For the most part, MConnectedHome has treated me well. The front door lock and garage door open/close features have worked well, as does the alarm setting and video doorbell. The main problem I’ve come across is that it doesn’t properly sync with our thermostat, so the current temperature is never accurate and there’s no way to refresh. This becomes very inconvenient when I want to check from my phone to decide whether or not I want to turn the air on/off based on the temp of the house.
Damien hasn’t been with the company long, but his knowledge and patience demonstrated he’d been doing this for years.
