I have been trying to register my account with NIPSCO for a week now and every time I attempt, I get a “service is unavailable” error. Why offer the ease of an app if they won’t make sure it works?
It’s funny, every other monthly bill I have works great, but not this app. Guess they will get it to work when they can somehow earn money off of it

NIPSCO doesn’t allow users to download a copy of the billing statement. This causes users to have to use the online website. Please update your app and allow users to download the billing statement as all other apps allow us to do so for electronic record keeping.

App will not allow Touch ID login after recent update. Keeps asking for password even though Touch ID is enabled.

I was excited that this app FINALLY developed an app. The first thing I did was pay my bill. Login was smooth and even used FaceID. Selecting acct to pay from was brought up perfectly and amount was correct. So far, perfect. Then I got to the date to pay. Even though the bill says 9-20-21 and NIPSCO indicated on the first window that the date was the same, the options on the list for the date to pay indicated 9-14-21 as the due date. I could choose another date but on the calendar most apps indicate the real due date but not this one! Everything indicated the current date. I logged into the website and as expected the due date was correct so I paid it there. I went back to NIPSCO and now the bank acct has been wiped out also. I logged out. What a let down. May refer next month.

NIPSCO can be useful - if you can access it.
Having an older phone, the large “chat with me” message covers most of the bottom half of my screen. They provide no option to minimize it.
It forces me to reset my password every month in order to pay my bill. It has failed EVERY month since the original install to recognize my thumbprint. This makes the process a 15 min aggravation instead of NIPSCO making something simple and easy across ALL platforms.
They also provide no method for “logging out” of NIPSCO . I do not like to leave any cookie info open with my bank info available to someone. That’s just the way I am. The option is cloaked (if you can find it), but the msg that “we’re sorry we could not process your request” always pops up.
I called support twice re these items difficulties and I received NO response.
It now takes 5 days for my bank to pay this app due to whoever’s policy change (I suspect this app so that they can more handily promote app usage). The whole process forces “user UNfriendliness”.

It makes no sense to have Face ID as an option when it prompts you every single time to enter a password! It’s so annoying. Otherwise, NIPSCO is great and convenient.

Service is great!! My only problem is that I have to pay extra to pay my bill. That just doesn’t make sense to me. It’s almost like as a customer I’m being penalized for paying my bill. Just something to think about.
