There was an update and this cruddy game took all of the hard work and gems I had collected building my castle and homes and updated. This would not have been a problem except I had used a lot of gems building my kingdom. Then after the update, they turned the “kingdom” into a different type of game all together. Did they give me back my old, spent gems? No. They started an entirely new system of “kingdom” and gave me no more than someone who had just started the game. I had spent all of that time gathering gems and playing the main game to upgrade my kingdom and I have no more to show for it than someone who had just begun. Was there an option to buy out the old kingdom I had built? No. Was there any sort of “previous supercool kingdom” package? No. Just this awful update that screwed me over. I used to like to play this game. Now it has been weeks since I’ve played. I’ve even been on quarantine for Covid and that couldn’t bore me enough to play this dumb game. I regret ever paying for ad-free.

I paid money to have the ads removed, but the game still has forced ads after every level. The developers are bold face liars. They will charge you to remove ads, but after they take your money they will continue to have forced ads in the game. Apple needs to investigate CastleRaid for deceptive practices.

It would be one thing if they had ads you could watch for free rewards, but in addition to those their are still forced ads you must watch to continue game play between raids. Basically, CastleRaid charges you money to remove ads then continues to show you ads even though you paid to remove them. This game is the worst! Avoid it at all cost. It’s 100% a scam!

Any games advertised on this deceptive app should also be viewed as suspect! I want my money refunded. The developers are nothing but common thieves!

I love CastleRaid! Very addicting and fun. However, when I downloaded it back in September of last year, I purchased the ad free option. I offloaded CastleRaid because I wasn't playing for a few months, and now CastleRaid is giving me ads, despite the settings saying that ads are removed. It's not even giving me an option to purchase the ad-free option again (not that I would), it's just continuously giving me ads. $4 down the toilet. Worst part is, that under the "app support" tab in CastleRaid store, it just sends you to the developer's website where there is no contact information. Even Apple doesn't give you the option that there's an issue under "report a problem". So, my best chance is to just complain on here and hope the developers see it.

This game is very fun and addicting, but there’s a bug that happens at the end of an advertisement. Usually you’re able to watch the video, skip, and then press the X button in the corner. Basically the X button is not showing up, so I’m actually stuck on Level 2 because it gives me an ad at the end of every match. I’ll watch the advertisement, or click skip, and it simply won’t let me close out of the ad. I am then forced to close CastleRaid and re-open it, which then restarts me from the start of the level! Developers please help, I would love to play the game!

No support information. I purchased No Ads. CastleRaid showed it was purchased. But I was still getting the banner ads and the ads after each level. Which itself is ridiculous of 10 seconds play time 30 seconds add.
I tried to contact support but their page has no support options. I followed Apples support and they had me delete CastleRaid and install it and I lost all day in progress.

Overall gameplay is OK but the levels started to repeat themselves. Biggest issue is no ad purchase does not work. Anyone that says it does has been paid by the company.

Theres a 15-30 second ad after every round. It’s not even different ads, I’ve watched the same ad for some mobile golf game and after the 4th round, I just couldn’t watch this anymore. The game is pretty fun, but the rounds last maybe 10 seconds and having to watch a 30 second ad for the same exact mobile game after every round is a bit infuriating. Would love to play this game more, heck I’d even opt in for in-app purchases rather than be forced to watch another ad. Maybe offer this in a one time paid version of the game for those who are willing to pay for no ads.

Game is a good game to kill time. I paid for no ads because there is literally too many ads on the game and 1. It takes forever to load so it kinda makes you wait for not watching ads. 2. When I pay for no ads I shouldn’t have to pay ads period. Some games when you pay for the ads and you click the add it automatically generates you the prize or gives you the thing you were gonna wait for an ad for because you already paid. The ads make the game not that good.

The mechanics of the core game are pretty satisfying for a couple minutes of distraction here and there, but the actual game play can’t hold one’s attention much beyond that. You wind up playing the same handful of levels over and over, and the new-ish raids of other castles and mines are probably more boring and aggravating than watching ads - requiring us to press on five consecutive targets for minutes at a time while employing absolutely no strategy or skill is a huge turn off, especially when we are rewarded for our progress by having to spend even more time on this pointless task as we level up. It’s reached the point where I’m willing to watch a 30-second ad to fill my garrison with ~20K attackers (which would take scores of attacks in the core game, but I have considerably less interest in dispatching those attackers in a painfully lengthy and tedious raid

“So much fun to play, and quite addicting. Ok, SUPER ADDICTING. I paid to get rid of the ads, because let’s be serious - they were one too many too quickly in succession. A couple dollars to remove ads was by far worth it compared to other apps I’ve paid to remove and would screw you over with ads anyways to play.” Was my original review. Until I moved the game over to my iPad, under the same account, and now I’m getting ads even though I paid to remove them. Under the settings, it says “Ads Removed”, and yet I still get ads after games. I don’t understand what went wrong, and there’s no email or customer service for Voodoo that I could find from their website that’s linked to CastleRaid Store. Help please?

First off the game is fun and I enjoy it. However for some reason it freezes after level 27. After beating the level and watching the ad it freezes and won’t let you progress to the next level no matter what you do.

Secondly, there is no way that I could find to contact any kind of support to report the issue either directly from CastleRaid or when I found the developer website. Somewhere during my over 20 min search I found something that supposedly would let me report a quality issue but that was also non functional and useless.

I have been seeing this more and more and am honestly disgusted by it. ANY app or game is subject to problems. The only way to find out and subsequently fix said issues is for the consumer to be able to EASILY contact support/developers to report the problems.

This is the main reason I end up deleting games, even if I like playing them. I have very little patience for this kind of neglect and rarely will spend more than 5 min searching before simply deciding if it means so little to you then it certainly is not worth my time.

the game is super fun and addicting. there were SO many ads. like 30 second ads. i turned on airplane mode so i don’t have to get ads. turns out there’s offline adds which only last five seconds but there’s one after every level and one of you want to restart. like come on. i turn airplane mode and you still give me ads 🤦🏼‍♀️ and another thing the game lags so much. it always takes me back to home screen and i’ll have to restart the level. and other times the game itself is just laggy. but overall it’s a fun game. but please make changes.

Love the game and building up the castle area but to add to the total amount of soldiers you have to earn gems and when it says “+255 soldiers” would cost 2810 gems it will take half of 10,000 gems or all the gems earned to just get those 2810 soldiers. It should only be taking what it says to upgrade and no more than that. It’s just frustrating when you work for 10 or 20k gems and they disappear way faster than it took to earn.

I love this game, it’s entertaining and stays challenging. I paid for no ads and it is worth it!
The castle is pretty fun, a little boring though with just building a wall, towers and houses. I am excited to see what the upgrades look like.
The last star was not given because of this glitch that keeps happening. I will play 2 or 3 rounds, then the game will just glitch out and when I make it all the way to the end with my warriors and beat down all the red guys, the gate will NOT OPEN!!! My guys just stand there waiting for it to open and nothing happens, no red guys left anywhere…..please fix this. I have to close out CastleRaid every time it happens.

I really enjoy this game. It is repetitive, but that is kind of what makes it calming.
My only complaint is it takes so long compliance raid. Especially when you level up. It takes me over 20 min for one raid… if I just hit attack, so it will auto-attack, it take 3-4 times as long. And you can’t just set your phone aside to finish while you do other things because the phone goes to sleep and you have to start over.
Please make it so that the raiding can go faster.

I was playing the game for a little bit but just like how I get bored with every other game I decided to cheat and change my time zone so I can get the gems much faster but I wanted to see how far back I could go. It looks like the game will only go back to the year 2000 I am at -134 million gems so yea I’m pretty much not playing anymore cause now I can’t buy anything. It was a fun game while it lasted and I did get to level 337 but a lot of levels are the same so I got bored obviously

It’s addictive, fun, sometimes just the right amount of challenging. But at least in my case with the latest iOS and all updates to the game, there’s a super annoying bug.

Once in a while, I just won’t be able to finish a level. After I defeat all enemies and have some of my men remaining, they’ll just keep chasing invisible enemies and the castle door won’t open. Only fix is to close the game and start over… Super frustrating! You guys need to fix this asap please!

I would like to suggest things but not be the one to know how to really do them😅… But it would be Great if you could take these suggestions and try them out.

I would like to suggest more to the “My Castle” I don’t really understand the upgrades and what your supposed to do to make it better or what it’s there for, when you have someone downloading the game they won’t know what there supposed to do or why it’s in the game in general other then to give you gems or build things and that’s about it.

Also I would like to suggest more performance enhances to the game when playing with brightness for iPhone 11 to about 35% the game heated my phone up after just 4 to 5 minutes with no other background applications open.

Also I didn’t look in to it but if your game is not up for CastleRaid Store as a game with a price and just as a premium subscription i would suggest having it up after maybe more improvements and after adding more things to the game. If that’s not possible and it’s going to stay a free game with a premium subscription that’s fine as I seen after the last update there are very less adds then before so many people should be okie with a few adds to support the creators.

To Many Little Characters I Believe Is What Causes The Issues With Performance And Lag On The Phone Once And A Blue Moon.

I’m number one on my app, level 6506, and with 428,873 total castle raiders. I have maxed out upgrades, and have more than 2.3 million in useless gems. How about an upgrade to the game, let us upgrade armor and weapons more? How about buying extra raiders at the beginning with gems? How about making more levels? Create new stronger foes? I only kept playing so long to become number one but I’d like something to freshen it up.

First I’d like to say, I love this game and I love voodoo! I work in marketing and the media world myself, so I’m genuinely impressed with every creative and simple game they come out with, along with their marketing tactics. Secondly, I’d like to address the other reviews, as they mentioned “too many ads,” and “you have to pay to remove them.” If you like CastleRaid , support your developer and pay for no ads which is under $10. Don’t be so cheap! How would you like it if you did your job just to constantly hear “you should’ve provided us more work and for lesser of the cost or for free.” Well unfortunately good things aren’t free. Like I said before… “if you like the product, support the developers!”

Ok so I really love this game!! The only problem is it is a bit repetitive. It’s also additive! I’ll spend hours playing and kill my phone playing. I don’t care for the castle building part (I mean who does???) but the challenges are super fun! It has abt 2 ads each round you raid a castle. The ads are truthful (As far as I’ve seen) and I really do enjoy ranking up and raiding! I like the powers and how you unlock them (My fav power is fire!!) And my siblings have also played and loved this game! I support Voodoo and this game! I really enjoy it and it has almost 0 ads. It love upgrading the armor and weapons and showing my men through the grass/sand/snow ect. Is so entertaining! And hearing their little happy sounds when the successfully raid a castle is sooooo cute! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This game is the best and it’s definitely one of my favorites. I’d say the best part about it is it doesn’t have an ad problem! And if you get tired of the ads you can just turn the wifi off and instead of ads you just get these 5-second things that aren’t even ads there just pictures that you can always skip in 5 seconds. I am totally addicted to this game, it is amazing.
