Love the game but...

I love this game! It is such a blast and has a variety of things to do so I don’t get sick of it. I love the storyline, pvp, the champions, the stockade, the arena. I only have a couple complaints about the game. I don’t appreciate that the community is toxic at times. I wish there was more ways to achieve rubies because without rubies it takes so much time to go through everything in order to get more champions. I think the skins should cost more than the champions instead of the other way around because then if players really want skins and have money to spare they can buy skins for their champs. Right now it is where you almost have to have money to spare in order to get champions. I would also suggest providing an option to test out champions so then players don’t save all their rubies and purchase a champ only to not like that style of champion. I also would suggest having a section in your guide explaining possible builds for champions so that new players can get a feel for building their champions instead of having to go to the chat. In the chat these new players are being ridiculed by other players for being a noob and not getting any questions answered. Again I love the game. This is my second time downloading it. I played it before but decided to delete it because of the toxic players and felling like I couldn’t progress without spending cash.

Challenging & rewarding

I picked this game up for the husbandos and waifus, and was ready to grind hard for them. I worried for nothing, as the grinding isn’t too bad and can be fun. I was also rewarded for spending a little money, so the rates aren’t too bad. Once I grew strong enough to clear story chapters, I got sucked into the main story, which I’ll admit starts slow/cliche. However once it picks up, it REALLY picks up, and flips tropes on their head. The game community is also super helpful whether you’re a novice or a long-time player; you have a question, they have an answer or are working on it alongside you.

The only reason I didn’t give this a full 5 stars is because I have to run the game on lowest quality mode on my phone, or else I’ll be loading the game for 90% of the time I have it open. Even on lowest quality mode, it keeps crashing, and I have to relaunch and re-login to the game. I see that people who emulate the game on their computer have no issues, but I can only play this on my iPhone 8, which as a decently recent phone doesn’t have issues with any other app. I hope the game devs fix this soon. Once they do, I’ll probably be fully addicted to this game!

I always come back to it!

King’s Raid is by far, hands down, the best “adventure”game app that the Apple store provides! From the community to the amazing visuals. KR will be my go to mobile game! My friends recommended it to me because you can idly play the game yet still actively grind the game if that makes sense. The function of the automatic skill usage is amazing and the 1.5 speed is helpful too! The developers are generous with the real dollar currencies every time there is an update or maintenance. They update King’s Raid at least once a month and they care of their gamers too! We asked for more end game content, they provide end game content! The gaming community is amazing and nice! I didn’t play KR for a couple of months and when I came back I wondered why I didn’t play it. It takes rubies (real money currency) to buy cosmetics and new characters. However, I didn’t spend a single dollar on rubies because you can grind for the rubies! The game can be pay 2 win but you can grind your way up there in a timely manner and that’s what makes it fun! You can achieve so much in this game! I highly recommend this game!

Love this game

Love this game. Feeds all my needs and if I want to I can play it all day. My only issue is that if I build anything else but crit, crit damage and attack on anyone who I want to do damage I won’t be able to proceed. I’ve started it over once after playing for a very long time. I just learned without entire builds like this I cannot progress much further and I’ve already used the tickets that allow me to select the options I need not knowing that I would have to build glass cannon for basically everyone but the front line. I don’t believe I have it in me to start over again just to get the proper builds and relying on rng and reforge tickets gets costly. If there’s any other games out there like this one I will probably switch over and start a new with an entirely different game. Again, amazing game and I love it but it’s discouraging to not have a chance to get it right the first couple of times and the community is useless and toxic in channel. The tips were great for building but it misleads u to believe u should have something else besides crit, crit damage and attack. Ty Vespa for the opportunity to play such a dope concept and game for the last year or so!

Still an enjoyable game after 1 year playing

I started playing King’s Raid (KR) at the beginning of June 2017. In the last year Vespa has done a lot to help new players keep up with the “power creep” that naturally occurs in gatcha based games. They have revamped the quest reward system and new player login bonuses so that someone who starts today is exponentially stronger than someone who started 1 year ago. While it is true that you won’t have the same number of hero specific unique weapons and treasures as people who have played longer, your heroes can get to the max level (80) and strength (Transcendence 5) fairly easy. This allows you to at least take part in “end game” content. The reason I cannot give this game 5 stars is that Vespa has focused too much on growing their brand (new Japan and new HongKong servers recently launched) instead of adding new content for the majority of 2018. I still enjoy the game and I would recommend that anyone who enjoys this genre gives it a try. If there is new content released this summer I might come back and give it another star.

Very Good Game.

I’ve been playing for about 1 month now and I’ve talked to many people in the world chat to better understand the game and the characters in it. By far the best thing is that IT IS NOT P2W. You can drop as much money on the game as you’d like and without grinding dungeons, bosses, raids etc, you will NOT get anywhere in ranked or in general. You grind for the characters you want, grind for the gear you wish to obtain. Grind to level those characters and that gear. Put together your own sound team and strategize to the best of your abilities. Aside from all that, the story line is pretty cool. The story sounds like an anime, which is pretty cool. Character designs are amazing, wish some would have more skins than they actually have. The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars is because some things I absolutely need to grind are only open for a very small period of time every other day and I’m not sure if that is meant to keep people logging on or to limit what you can do within a day but it’s a bit irritating when the game is this good, you want to play it whenever you can.

Amazing, 10/10 would recommend

This is my first time reviewing anything, but I absolutely had to do this. KR is incredible and here's why:

1.) ALL the characters are viable in end game, it just depends how much time you are willing to invest into improving their gear and stats.
2.) Characters and gear are NOT locked behind gacha wall and can be bought with in-game currency! Given enough time, you can amass a whole lot of them. I've been playing nonstop since August 2017 and have 31 units, around 10 of which were gotten through amity points and the rest with rubies.
3.) The community is active and supportive. Especially on the subreddit. And now with the improving Wiki as well as Kings Raid Vault, I just can't imagine how much bigger the community will get in a few years.
4.) Vespa is the most generous company I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. They always listen to player feedback and adjust accordingly. They TALK to us and they always try to find a way to meet our needs. Granted, they've had some slip-ups now and then and their CS isn't the best, but honestly they're already leagues ahead of so many other companies in this respect. It just really feels like Vespa has an actual connection with us players.

All in all, an amazing game, albeit really grind-y and time-consuming but the process can be sped up with in-app purchases. It's not necessary to pay though, which is why I love this game and I don't see myself putting it down any time soon.

The game is really good but I had too much space on it and I don’t have enough for my phone now.

King’s Raid is a really good game I love the graphics, the characters and the game style when it first come out. I love everything about it but I had to delete it after I have to make more room on my phone now I want to game again I have known about the recent updates that my friend told me about she says good as well but the thing is that I can’t get KingsRaid to load up on my phone because I have so much space on it. I understand that the game has a lot of new updates to it but I feel like I don’t need a new phone with more space on it to get this game or delete everything on my phone to get this really the game. I tried to put this game on my different devices like my phone my iPod my tablet but neither of them work because they don’t have a little space and also it keeps on exiting out for the game and going to the homepage. I’m just saying it’s a really good game but I just wish it didn’t have a lot space even my friend said she can’t update the game because it have so much space it have to put on it.

One of the best RPG’s I’ve ever played.

At first i never gave the game any thought. Specifically because of how im not fond of 3D type rpg games... but actually trying the game once more and giving it a chance it began to grow on me and I realize this game is amazing and the 3D style isnt too bad. Perfect actually.
For one Its more rewarding then most games from allowing you to buy special characters with gems Thatd normally be difficult to obtain in other games like for example summoning 100 times. Not to mention gems are even pretty easy to obtain.
I might add you sometimes are Given free skin tickets for any of your choosing.
Giving free 5 star characters sometimes at max lv
Even a chance To choose exclusive items specific for a character you like. Theres so much to do and so much more rewards you can earn easily, sometimes even without doing anything. Not to mention its not a cash grab and it gives more then what you spend.

Suggestion

I am giving you a suggestion as an avid player since the game first came out vesper people are talking about leaving constantly I know they’ve been waiting for kings rate to to draw but I believe that if you cannot drop KR2 at this moment that you should continue on with content and storyline and new characters that will continue to keep the base fans happy if you cannot keep the Fanbase happy they are liable to look elsewhere for that happiness I would hate to see such a great game falter because new content is not being issued you guys are great I know you’ve been having some issues over there with employees and development but there are some talented people out there that would love to work with Vespa all you need to do is find them and bring them on board sometimes it takes new blood to rejuvenate and bring fresh ideas to a great game here’s to many more years of Kings Raid.

Too much RNG and grind

This game has great mechanics and strategy going for it, which is the core of any game. What characters you get and can use are also up to you and not RNG based, which is another plus.

But there isn’t enough content or raid bosses, which is what the game is about. Advancing characters takes a long time and gearing them even longer. Getting useable gear is entirely RNG based and once you get towards the end game content a week can go by with only one or two useable pieces of gear. Which is rough when you eventually have to gear up and level two 8 man teams for World boss content and each of those characters has 6 gear slots, two of which you are going to eventually need to fill with ultimate weapon and ultimate treasure. UWs and UTs, if you want to level up, will probably cost a good amount of money for a % chance to level. The actual drop rate on them through in game loot boxes is low enough that I have received one in about four weeks. And those yield random UW tickets. I guess the plus side is through arena you can also grind up one UW of your choice a month or so.

Fun game

So I’ve been playing a little over 2 years I think, just some thoughts on it. It’s really fun, the grind is difficult because it takes so long to get to where you want to be but it’s rewarding unlike other games I’ve played. The champions are all very creative, there’s one thing that when your about to buy a character it tells you what their strengths are, and I would like to see that in other areas of character specs. Anyways a couple things that I don’t nesscerly like because I like this game and I want it to succeed. It’s hard to navigate. This game rewards exploring a lot, but in my first year, I never touched the cash shop and I was super confused about buying champions, mostly I just wish it were a bit easier to navigate. Especially good items, it’s hard to tell what are the best ways to get them. Lastly, I had to download on pc because the iPad I’ve been playing on keeps crashing. I love this game but sometimes the ambitions of it are too much for this device. Anyways good game, wanna see more.

I love this game but I have one issue.

I’ve played King's Raid for at least two years now. I adore this game's characters and story. I love all the costumes available for most heroes (specifically the Halloween costumes). The game is fun and exciting and can keep me busy for a while. Except there’s a problem... Crashes. I’ve only had this issue after about my first year of playing. More recently the game crashes have been getting worse... My game will crash about every 5-10 mins. This doesn’t include battles though, which is a bit odd but still nice. Earlier today I wasn’t even able to buy a costume because every time I tried to go on the the character cosmetics screen it crashed to my home screen. I use iOS so I’m not sure if that’s the issue but all the crashes really bother I can’t even buy a costume which is ridiculous.... I really hope this issue can be fixed because I love this game and want to keep playing but all the crashes just ruins the fun for me.

One of the best

I’ve tried a lot of different games because I play them, become too invested in them, then realize I’m playing these too much, and then delete them. This is one game that I delete then find myself downloading it just a little while later “just to see the new stuff” then end up playing for a lot longer. I love how it’s possible to get everything from just grinding the levels. I think that’s a really important aspect of the game. And honestly, the grind isn’t NEARLY as bad as most other games. You don’t have to grind for a month to then use on a lotto box and maybe get what you want, but probably not. You can actually grind, then use the rubies you grinder for to buy the hero or costume you were wanting. It’s one of the only games I have found that does this. It’s a great game! If I was single and didn’t have two kids, going to school and working full time, I’d probably be living with my parents playing this all day. Oh well.

It’s a shame

This game could be great but after playing for three months all I have figured out is everybody uses the same heroes. Everybody uses the same items. There is no real customization. The developers care more to make 12-year-old little girl costumes with double D’s than anything else. There is no overall gameplay updates. The last main update took away Helmo which was a great source of fun and challenge in the game. In PC heroes which are very weak and rarely used by veteran players takes 3 to 6 months to obtain this is an insult and a major rip off. 85% of the community in the chat channels are very rude to new players perverts jerks and pedophiles this is some of the most disgusting immature community I have ever seen in 30 years of gaming. It is a shame but after how long this game has been around you can tell value and player base enjoyment is not their concern. My friends and I & my 200,000 Twitter followers will be sure to pass the word around this is not a game for fun it is only a cash grab in the worst way!

It’s like if you took the things RAID: Shadow Legends and made it true

The amount of times I have compared this game to RAID and how it’s just a better game then Raid:Shadow Legends is absolutely in the double digits. Not only is it easy to get characters, the auto battle function is actually entertaining to watch. The only Gacha function is the fear but even then they give you appropriate level gear and gives you stuff to get the great gear. It may crash every other update but they quickly go to fix it than they go and give you an apology reward. The characters all have great personalities. Every model moves differently and look like they belong on a console. The amount of love that is in this game is fantastic. The creators spoil us. If you want a beautiful game with a story, and actual characters. This is the game for you. By the way, Viska is specifically made to go infinite with her ultimate ability and I think her soul weapon ability can go infinite as well.

This is the only game I haven’t given up on

I’m not very into the mmo online games for phones and stuff, in fact I hate most of them because the ads are always better than the games themselves. I download a game and it’ll last a day or two before I get bored and delete it.

But this game, I’ve had it for months! I love that there’s an actual storyline to the progress you make, and dedicated characters beyond those the player can get that serve to give the playable characters actual depth.

Some of these characters have more character growth than books I’ve read. This is something especially rare to find in a game like this.

Don’t even get me started on the character design. I thought the last few characters they introduced were a little boring, but I can’t deny the amount of work put into their design really makes all the difference. There’s even several animation sequences for each hero, it’s amazing.

As for system mechanics, a lot of games make getting gems or tokens or gold really hard to do because you need those to level up, so you have to spend irl money to pay for them. This game, they make getting rubies so relatively easy that I don’t feel pressured to buy anything. I have bought some upgrades but it’s because I wanted to and not because I felt like I had to.

All in all, this game is amazing and I’ll definitely be playing it for a while lol

Best game ever

I have played several games on the iPhone and iPad and this has been the best ever. I love that you can go solo or be in a guild and have the same amount of enjoyment. You never lose anything that you gain or build in your characters. It is not a pay to play game either.... you have to grind to get items sometimes, but that is the reward from doing so. Nothing worth having should be easy.... that’s boring. How people gave this game a one star is beyond me “idiots”. The developers have worked hard making this game... from the storyline to graphics and all the gear and gaming mechanics. Everyday you grow stronger and gain more items. You get to pick the characters you want and develop them. This is the most awesome game I have played in the iPhone/iPad arena. Vespa ... keep doing what you are doing and don’t let the haters bring you down. There will always be crying idiots out there you can never please.

*mic drop*

Hidden gem in a flooded market!!

I’ve played numerous games where you collect characters, build a squad and run missions and the likes. I have never spent so much time in any of these games until this one! This game is the absolute leader in its genre. Sure you can pay cash to get a leg up by buying characters, but you still have to level them, get them geared, learn their builds and so much more, but you can also get your team built without spending a dime. I own 18 characters and didn’t spend a single penny on this game. There is so much to do from quests for each zone, difficulty challenges, raids and more. You have plenty to do. Learning the characters, getting them geared right, it’s hard but so much fun. I can’t wait for more content such as the continuation of the story line as well as the future Unique Gear ( fingers crossed for 3 runes on chest and head). I can not recommend this game enough, just be prepared to be addicted!

I love this!

I know there are some problems. I know. I play this game a hella lot and I enjoy it. I haven’t spent a single dime in this game and I got the characters I own to start 6-9 already. But I did have a long break.

I do have a few concerns about the game. Is there a way where you can like turn the group chatting off? I hate to always push the x button every time it pops up every thirty minutes or every time I level up a character or my personal level.

Rubies I’m having difficulty of obtaining. There was a few times I would complete a new section or a new part of the story and I wouldn’t obtain the rubies of clearing. Annoying about that.. and yes it’s tiring.. I have way to much gold to do anything with as well.

I was also hoping to send a gift box to friends. I know someone who plays and I wouldn’t mind sending them some stamina bottles or some equipment. Things needed to upgrade. That way it’s a fair way of each player.

I was also wishing it wouldn’t kill my battery. I start playing this game with 100% charge. Not even 30 minutes goes by before I’m down to 20%, then I have to recharge. I never had this problem before and I always been able to play at least two hours before actually killing my battery..

Otherwise I really enjoy playing this game! I mean seriously!! It’s so fun to play. One of my top rated games ever!

Just downloaded after watching an ad

Okkkkk I’ll be truly honest here. I downloaded this game because of the beautiful unique art style but that was what I came for but not why I stayed. After playing a bunch of hero collecting games such as this, I found this game more interactive and less confusing in terms of combat techniques. The game feels much better than its other counter parts which lacked luster in many parts. I found myself skipping through the dialogue of many of these games but the story mode of this game was intriguing and well written to keep me attached. Although I didn’t play enough to have the full experience, I could see myself playing this for awhile. Regarding RNG and grind I feel like you have to expect some sort of it when coming to these games and there is a good amount in this game which feels comfortable. As far as P2W players and free players there are advantages to paying but is totally ok for playing at free of costs. I hope to see the game updated as I keep playing. My favorite aspects of the game are
1) The beautiful legendary art style.
2) The unique combat system different from regular click and swipe but am continuing fighting style with no pause
3) The well written story line.

These aspects attracted me so far and there are probably tons of others that I still have to see as I play more of the game.
