As of December 2023 this is not at all usable

Unfortunately, NVDARemote can no longer be used. It is another example of an app which has not been updated. NVDA has grown tremendously and remains an incredibly useful tool. I wish the developer would return to activity. NVDARemote could be so handy.

My keyboard input doesn’t get passed

I’m able to connect to a remote device with no problem, and hear speech from that device so long as I am using the remote keyboard to control the machine. But when I use my external keyboard with my phone, my phone takes the keyboard presses itself and navigates around the screen of NVDARemote . Even without voiceover turned on. I don’t know if this is an app problem, a keyboard problem, or what kind of problem. I’m using a logitech k380 and its website says it has OS specific keyboard layouts, so maybe I just need to get a plain external keyboard. Hmm. Even tried turning quickNav on and off... no dice.
Interestingly, I can get the tab key on this keyboard to work in any text field outside of NVDARemote . Interesting. Maybe there should be a specific multiline text field where input is confined to which the keyboard/phone would see as you just typing but in reality keypresses from that field are passed to the remote device? Hmmm.
Anyway, it’s a cool idea/concept, except I can’t work with NVDARemote so I give it 3 stars. I did try going to NVDARemote support website but it was in another language.

Developer please respond

Hi, I like NVDARemote. Is very cool. I’m surprised it has come it’s way to iOS. There’s one thing that is a bug. Don’t know if it’s a bug with NVDARemote , or something else. Basically yesterday me and my friend were playing a game, and he made a server to control to let me control his computer. When I was playing the game, which was an audio game exactly. The space bar and enter keys did not work. I don’t know if it’s a bug with NVDARemote , or something else. Please look into this.

Amazing app. Just one suggestion that could make it better

NVDARemote is actually very good and it’s entirety. One thing that I think could make it better is if you could push the clipboard of what’s on your iPhones clipboard from VoiceOver, over to the NVDA remote computer you are controlling, just like you could do with a regular computer controlling another computer.
