I have always had a difficult time managing communication with the number of messaging apps and notifications I get daily, a problem which has certainly affected my ability to catch up with some of my friends. Consolidation is important to me, so when I first learned about this app I was very excited by the prospect of using one app across all my devices.
It's pretty clear that a lot of work went into making this app function as well as it does. While it has certainly exceeded my expectations, I do have concerns about the security of its implementation; the workaround to provide Instagram messaging in particular is a bit strange, asking permissions for a mobile device located far from my location and Beeper does little to outline the reasons for that. It is slightly disconcerting to think that might be the same way it connects to everything. Additionally, this app can't import iMessage history, so you will likely still be opening that app should you need to reply to a message you received prior to setting it up.
Other minor issues include minimal but not unnoticeable lag between typing and text appearing in the window, abbreviated selection of connected apps, and inability to delete or hide conversations. None of these are deterrents significant enough to steer me away from this app at this point in time, but I admit I'm unsure if I will continue to use it as a result of these concerns.

I would like the United States to opt for a universal messaging service. I understand why they don't have but more applications like this coming out for free like WhatsApp or Telegram will become the number one application fairly quickly. Now I know the guy who started Pebble is the guy behind all this. He did well for himself and a clever guy so I'm sure he thought about it and he has his reasons why bill monthly. Until now, Beeper has worked very well and I can only think of some of the new features that they will release with. Have a few ideas of my own I could see being truly smooth and a few steps ahead of other applications. If only they were hiring for what I'm good for, I would love to work for this company because I can only see great things coming. It reminds me of when I helped launch Zoom and what we've done over eight years on the market. If you are looking for a big new application to manage numerous programs, then you should get on the waiting list.

I signed up for this app many months ago and forgot about it. Before that I was paying for Rambox desktop which is similar, combining all chats into one app but separate tabs - and no iOS app.
I use a handful of apps, from IG to WhatsApp to discord on iOS and (Desktop) OSX. Discord integration is severely lacking, but with an app that complex I wouldn’t expect much. I use it to read and not send there.
Overall the combined inbox is worth it because there are no apps like this. I can use this app about 70% of the time for all messages, but you do have to keep all other apps installed because it’s unreliable for some apps. I run into a bug every few days but support seems to constantly be working on it and updates are regular. I find myself checking original apps to make sure everything is sent and received as expected though.
You’re essentially a beta tester for a newly developing product, so if you’re okay with that and pretty technical I recommend it! I don’t mind bugs because I knew what I was getting into and I want apps like this to succeed.

I’m recently a new member I’ve been using Beeper since yesterday. i’ve currently been on the waitlist for 675 days. So far that the UI is pretty amazing. I can even use it on the go wherever I want without having to use multiple devices at the same time we’re going to use or pick up my cell phone. but I have some problems every time when I try to send a message, Beeper doesn’t send the message directly. I also have some problems of my messagesDisappearing from Beeper entirely but so far so good I really enjoy it

I’ve been using the beta now for well over a year and I’ve been so impressed with how much this has improved. Finally now to the point where there’s an official App Store app. I use nearly every chat network available to connect to and I’ve been LOVING the unified inbox. At this point the only issues are a lack of some features for some of the chat networks but as far as messaging goes all the basics are pretty solid and reliable. It’s gonna just get better from here!

It is a great app after figuring out that you need to do the sign up via desktop app and not mobile. Seems they need clearer instructions. Having said that Beeper is great and does as it says and more. Few sync bugs here and there but overall really effective keeping all messages in one place! Their privacy terms seem good, with messages encrypted and not viewable in their servers. Hopefully! I think a lot of folks will be hesitant to give as much access but as long as they are up front with privacy seems like a winner!

I don’t have time to get into a detailed review other than saying that I have not been able to find another app like this anywhere! Finally we have the ability to turn our messages inbox into an actionable list!
There are still a few clunky things and some bugs here and there, but the overall experience is unbelievable and I am so excited to continue supporting this app as they grow and bring this great service to the masses!

These developers are wizards. All my chats in one place! iMessage and texts on any device! It works, and works well. I have been using it for two days and see no need now to open all my various chat apps to message people. This has replaced them all. Never thought this would happen and it is kinda life altering. I don't usually write app reviews, so this means I want to send huge kudos to the team for what they have built so far. Keep going you wizards!

I’ve been using this app during the paid beta for the last 4-5 months, and it’s fabulous. Having one app with all my core communication platforms makes life so much easier. For the few times I’ve had issues their support team is amazing.
It’s worth the waitlist waiting period to get access.

Beeper is a total game changer. I’ve been using it as a daily driver and absolutely love not having to switch between a dozen messaging apps throughout the day. And the desktop support? Sending iMessages from my Windows laptop? Amazing. It’s clear the team is still working on some kinks, and it’s not perfect, but this app has room to grow and I fully expect it to become the only messaging app I’ll ever need again.
By appealer5689
I’ve often longed for the old days when everyone just used SMS and they all came through one app. I love the flexibility of messaging apps with pics, video, emoji, etc but the proliferation of apps drives me crazy. Beeper is incredible! In just a couple days I’m almost a complete convert. One star, one critical feature is lacking for me. No voice recording? Is this coming soon? I use it all the time!

Cross platform messaging all on one functioning app! Who would've ever thought. I've been using the this app all via PAID beta for almost a year now and I can truly say it's life changing.
I daily an iPhone but I also have a Galaxy S22 Ultra and with being a loan originator I'm constantly talking to people so being able to have either phone on me and all my iMessages come to both phone .. including my iPad and desktop was a huge game changer.
Lastly but most importantly, the support team at this app is top 2 and not 2!!!
Thank you guys for all of your hard work!!!

Beeper does a great job of integrating the various messaging accounts into one platform. Keeps me responsive more often without forgetting to respond to one. Still some bugginess and lag on Beeper . Would love the ability to add multiple accounts from the same platform. That’s all this far, will update as things come up.
By LeonFizzesional
It really is wonderful having all your chats in one place. I’ve been using this app now for almost 2 years and it has drastically simplified my messaging social life.
I can seamlessly go from phone to desktop and not have to remember what friend uses what chat service.
By AlanPekker
You won’t know what you’ve been missing until you give this a try,
Not having to be nervous about opening a million other apps to see what information you’re missing is life changing
By SimpleJImbo
Beeper is beautiful very easy to use very easy to install both desktop and phone. I see a beautiful future with Beeper. Interface is amazing and more importantly, customer service is out of this world, very fast support, and good humor.
By Mike91999
I’ve been on the waitlist forever now and it’s here. It works amazingly (they even got IMessage to work which is brilliant). Sure it’s kind of barebones and you can’t make calls in the networks but honestly they work they have done is amazing
By buttfartasswipe
I communicate across multiple platforms daily and this has been a total game changer for me
By Jamesoniam
This is by far the most elegant implementation of a universal chat app I have ever used.
By Jediranger
Beeper is great have all your messengers in one app. Very smooth and always updating to better the experience!! Please keep the good work up !!
By Domincnec
I cannot remember how long exactly I have been waiting to get Beeper but not that I have finally gotten access I can honestly say that it was worth the wait. I would go days without checking certain apps and would miss messages because of this, hopefully this will help minimize that issue. Beeper works great so far, everything seems to be syncing properly, wish I could get my iMessages history but as long as it works from here on I am not concerned.
Beeper could definitely use a bit better UI for adding pictures from the library or Gifs. It is definitely a work in progress and I hope it only keeps getting better over time.
Excellent work this app team!

An app that I can use on windows pc(work) that I can use with my iPhone messaging that has all the same features as I message. Now I can message with my clients from my PC without having to miss a beat. Thank you thank you thank you for creating this.
By AlexisRo
Love Beeper. Developers are doing a great job of communicating when there’s an issue and fixing the bugs. Having all the social media/ text messages in one place is fantastic. The PC and ipad app are also fantastic.
By Nerdy Pete
Really easy set up process on my Mac—got everything working in minutes. It would be great to see the Linux version be easier to set up. Tried to run it on my Raspberry Pi but couldn’t get the Linux version to open. I think my only other gripe is that when Siri reads my notifications to me on my Air Pods, she can’t read me the sender of the text. All she can say is “From this app…”
By Pacifist Ajax
fortunately, the messaging app industry has not been entirely monopolized. I have contacts who, instead of Meta's products WhatsApp and Messenger, use Telegram, Signal, etc. While a good thing, it makes my life complicated. How does one keep on top of 10+ apps? this app inswers the question by bringing most of my messaging apps together into one place. I love that I can easily archive messages. I love that I can use WhatsApp on my iPad. It's a genuinely beautiful thing. It's much better than Element One, and the client is better than Element.
By ntomallen
This is awesome! I can finally have everything on every device. Amazing, amazing, amazing. I’ve been so happy with the support and dev team too. Beeper needs some more polish and has minor stability problems, but the team is extremely responsive to bug reports and issues that arise. It’s built on an open protocol, and much of the backend of open source. This gives me a huge amount of confidence this is headed in the right direction. I honestly can’t wait to pay for this because I’m so happy this finally exists and want it to succeed so much.
I’m using this daily as my primary messenger on windows, iOS, and macOS (telegram, iMessage, and signal), and have had very few issues.
By DS Development Solutions
Let’s me just say the team has been so responsive and helpful, they’re pushing updates at such a crazy speed. It’s great to see and watch the product develop. It’s no easy task to do what they’re doing, can’t wait to see what happens in another year or twos time. These guys might just actually fix messaging!
By Tamar almamory
I love the idea! All your chats in one place! But I just wish that contacts sync from my phone to my machine. Pretty please do this?
By dkazaz
this app is THE KILLER MESSAGING app. All the different messaging networks think we care about them but really we just want to communicate with our contacts.
this app is the answer. Just messages in a nice unified inbox!
Beeper is still a bit new but its becoming more polished every day.
By Splangy613
The this app team has made a critical communications solution that I’ve tested across Slack, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Messenger, and many, many more.
It does exactly what it says it will do and I’ve seen instances where it was better than the underlying messaging services.
I see steady but unobtrusive updates both on the mobile and desktop applications.
I don’t believe I’ve seen any errors at all and the team has been responsive to any questions I’ve had.
Congratulations to the this app team. I was on the waitlist for a while and you’ve made the wait worth it.
By tinyasterisms
So far this app has been great! Having all my chats in one place has really helped my responsiveness to folks, and helped me not have to check six plus apps for messages, it’s so convenient. It is still good to keep the apps around with notifications turned off though, as this app doesn’t handle some extra features the best for chat like Discord, or receiving lots of photos via Messenger, etc., so sometimes I switch back to them for specific tasks. The this app team is super responsive and always doing updates, which is great, though it means lots of app updates, it’s just great to actively see bugs being worked out. Highly recommend, but just be aware some features are still being worked on, but overall Beeper on phone and desktop is fantastic!
By Neal Ludevig
Hopefully they reduce the memory required to run it. I think it’s making my phone and devices crash
By Zay1974
I loved Beeper in the beginning. It solved all of my problems. All my messages were in one place. A few months ago there was an issue with iMessages that never really got resolved. I reached out for support and was told they would not support my messages anymore and would only focus on the other platforms. I know I can open iMessages myself and check but I loved the idea of checking messages in one place. I’m sure this is an apple problem but now I basically have no more use for Beeper. Thanks guys for trying.
By Frankreichard10
Beeper is great when it works. Lots of bugs. However they get resolved fairly quickly so I am excited to see where this goes. I have tried a few apps in the past that claim to combine all messaging services into one and this has been the best product so far. Keep up the good work✌🏼
By justdep
Trying to share to a contact from another app fails most of the time requiring me to copy the thing and manually visit Beeper to share. This is pretty annoying and should work consistently. Otherwise good app.
By @srdvx
By using Beeper you giving them the direct access to all your messaging accounts you connect. Any expectations of privacy and confidentiality, much less end-to-end encryption, you are giving up. Your messages with all private information in them, including attached images and videos, become would be subject to collection, analysis, mining, and sale and resale to advertisers and wholesale data brokers, who will further sell them to anyone interested in having and using it for whatever purposes any of your knowledge or rights. You are giving up all rights to this private information, because you are willingly providing it to an unaccountable 3rd party (the company behind Beeper.) And after this review, you would be also doing so knowingly.
But the most offensive of all is that YOU would be paying in Beeper a monthly subscription for the privilege of giving up your privacy. Google or Facebook at least don’t change you anything while providing lots of useful functionality for free.
Besides, every messaging app has its unique features which couldn’t possibly all be implemented and provides together in one app ( Beeper).
By Sam 9930
It’s a good app to have. I would appreciate the developers if they could kindly implement my requested features. I’m pretty sure many users are waiting for them: 1- Setting for turning on/off auto download media in chats. 2- Being able to watch instagram stories 3- Having more control on catch storage on mobile phones, for example: setting limitation and being able to delete files based on file types like what Telegram offers. Many thanks in advance, Best wishes!
By Charm8er
I loved the idea of this app, you know, bring all your messaging to one app. However, the implementation is not what I imagined. First off, it requires the desktop app which isn’t the end of the world on its own but not being able to sync iMessage unless you have a Mac kind of is. On top of that issue, Facebook messenger and WhatsApp constantly disconnect and require fiddling to get them to work again. Maybe one day this will work better or Apple and Google will have their own implementations that don’t require so much work to keep them running. Until then, I’m uninstalling.
