What is PaintSnap? PaintSnap is an app that turns photos into paintings with styles ranging from realist to impressionistic. It can also generate two types of painting animations. this app turns photos into paintings one brushstroke at a time, with styles ranging from realist to impressionistic - inspired by painters such as Van Gogh. this app can also generate two types of painting animations, which can be helpful for painters or art class students looking to paint a photo in an impressionist style.   You can choose from 5 different painting styles - Impressionist level 0 through 4. Increasing the level will make the painting more impressionistic, while decreasing it will make it more realist (more closely matching the photo). The Repaint button in the bottom right allows you to create a slightly different version of the painting using the same photo and style - every painting generated is unique. this app can create two types of animations: the painting creation and the "infinite loop" animations, which you can save as MP4 video or animated GIF to your photo library with this app Premium. To turn this app Premium into a GIF maker, change the Video File Type in Settings to GIF. Some people find the infinite loop painting animations soothing/relaxing when used with styles Impressionist Level 2 or greater - or even ease their anxiety a bit. this app still works while offline, so you can use it anywhere and anytime! By default, this app uses face detection to paint faces in more detail. You can turn this off in Settings for photos with no faces for optimal results and slightly faster processing time. Specifications: - The painting image that you can save to your device is 2160 pixels wide with this app Premium, and 1080 pixels wide with the free version. - (this app Premium only) The painting animation video is 1080 pixels wide when saved as an MP4 video, and 800 pixels wide as a GIF. If you want to share an infinite loop animation on Instagram, pick the video file type of MP4 since Instagram does not allow GIFs. - this app is ad free. If you want to share a GIF painting animation with a friend using iMessage, go to your iPhone/iPad's settings and make sure that Settings->Messages->Low Quality Image Mode is turned OFF.
