This is a poorly designed app and interface. After spending 20 minutes trying to connect my phone to the device i still cant figure it out. What do i need to do here?

instaxLinkWIDE does not work. You cannot use the printer without instaxLinkWIDE . It does not acknowledge that it’s connected to my phone. It may print one photo after an hour of trying to encourage it to work - - and then the next second say there is no Bluetooth connection. I would *never* buy this printer again with such a terrible app and support. Just stick to the actual instax camera (which I have and love) or find another brand of printer. So disappointed and zero help online from the company.

App does not work on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17. We need this for a party for our library to kick off Summer Reading on Saturday, but we may not be able to have this working by then. Terrible and sad.

I can’t even get the full picture to print through instaxLinkWIDE because it cuts out the edges of any format picture and you can’t zoom it out past a certain point. Selfie prints are impossible because of this unless I only want half of my face showing. The editing is completely bare and close to useless. I really only want to be able to print my whole freaking picture and you can keep having a good app, but I can’t even do that. Considering getting a Polaroid printer or camera because they at least have a good app. F

The printer is good and the images come out decent quality but instaxLinkWIDE is not user friendly

I’ve had 3 misprints out of 7 attempts using instaxLinkWIDE so far, and all have shown cropped correctly before printing then done the literal inverse of what I painstakingly selected. Film is not cheap and wasting product due to a nonfunctional app that clearly was thrown together with very little effort is frustrating to say the least.

Really unhappy with instaxLinkWIDE so far. There are several photos I would like to print from my iPhone Photos app (let’s say, in the “Recents” folder) that are not displayed in the Instax Link Wide app. Why?

When I go to print my image the device won’t connect. It doesn’t even show up.

instaxLinkWIDE itself only does very minimal functionality. 95% of the filters are…not good looking. At least it can print photo as it is marketed, but do not expect anything more than that.

For something that’s been out a while. instaxLinkWIDE doesn’t seem to have evolved much from its early stages of development. Has a lot of haptics that need work. For such a big company and a device that has so much potential. Not a lot of effort has been put into instaxLinkWIDE that runs this device.

it will always crop your image... no way to print form a mac computer. but the idea is fun. just horrible execution.

Right at the start instaxLinkWIDE stated it was a Chinese company but I installed it anyway. I enjoyed using it to print. Unfortunately after a week it wanted me to grant it access to my log in data? That’s when I knew I had to remove it from my phone.
Why is Fuji using a Chinese company to create its app? Why do they need access to my log in data?

instaxLinkWIDE is very slow in sending data to the instax wide printer. Printing one photo takes 30 seconds! I’m hoping the developers can speed things up a bit. It would also be nice to be able to queue up images to print. Right now, instaxLinkWIDE does work, but the functionality is very limited.

Wish list for instaxLinkWIDE:

1. Make the printing process fast! When I press print, I expect the printer to receive and print the data instantly (not 20 seconds!)
2. Be able to queue up what you would like to print based on number of instax film paper available.
3. The “Recents” tray keep on sliding up unnecessarily and unexpectedly. Please fix!

Otherwise, the photo quality is AMAZING!! 😄

Review is in progress, but right off the bat, I can say I really enjoyed printing from any photo I manage to get on my camera. It’s very seamless, and people’s eyes light up. However, instaxLinkWIDE is a bit annoying in that it doesn’t have direct connection to X-series cameras like the X100V. This would be a huge upgrade. I know Fujifilm has already implemented this in the SP-2 and SP-3 printers. Why can’t they let us connect to their other cameras outside of the XS-10? This would easily make the Instax Wide Link the best accessory for their cameras.

I am a confused as to why instaxLinkWIDE does not have same basic functionality as the instax link mini app. There is no way to access the camera to take a photo & print in app for the instax link wide software! You have to exit take a photo, then re-enter - not as streamlined as the mini app! I know this is a newer printer but think it’s app should have the same basic functionality. Hope it is updated ASAP.

It centers and crops the image on your phone. It has a crop function but does allow you to move from the center position. Pretty basic tool missing.

It’s very obvious that instaxLinkWIDE involved very little or no UX design input/user testing. Besides the spacing and the look of things being off, it is so difficult to rotate a picture and if you accidentally click on the frame which you will when you are trying to dial-in it brings up your camera roll. Please get some design eyes on this. Does it work? Yes! Is it pleasant? No! I would expect more from a $150 device that requires app usage to work.

I bought an Instax WIDE Link printer and of course downloaded instaxLinkWIDE to use it.

Overall, it works well although it lacks several features that the Instax SQUARE Link app has. I don’t use those features anyway.

However, when I use Simple Print with an iPhone photo, I cannot frame any area of the photo even though it would not result in white bands. It seems that I should be able to do that. I realize the Instax Wide format is essentially 16x10 while the iPhone camera app only allows for 16x9, 3x4, and 1x1 (square). So this will result in some cutoff when printing to Wide film. Still, the Fuji algorithm should allow for more flexibility than instaxLinkWIDE provides. Perhaps adding the Camera feature to the Wide app would help with this.

Keep developing instaxLinkWIDE, please.

I’m not sure why the reviews are so low. I’ve had no problems with it and its super easy to work. Hopefully my review will get the rating up because it’s really a good app. I was super skeptical when i saw the reviews because they were rated so low but once i downloaded it and tried it, it worked perfectly! All the pictures are sooo cute!

Not sure what the beef is from the other person, but this little thing works great and you CAN print from your mac. Yes there is cropping but that is because the aspect ration of the print needs to be taken into account. This isn't for fine art, just for funzies, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My father got me the INSTAX printer as a gift and I have had so much fun with it. The setup process is fairly simple and it takes no effort once it’s set up to print photos.

The photos come out great even without having to adjust or edit the photo (which they also let you do in instaxLinkWIDE ).
