Instead share sp-3 will not connect to my phone that has iOS 13. I have tried all the advice of deleting instaxSHARE and restarting my phone, and have selected to have location on while in instaxSHARE then touching the ‘real time’ view, and still nothing. Very disappointing for the amount of money these products cost. Software updates should be the easiest to fix and it seems this has been an issue preventing people from using their Fuji film products for months now. Very disappointed in this company and instaxSHARE. A new update/ to make all this work would make things way better, as the hardware of the printer is very nice. Software just prevents me from even connecting my phone to use it though so I currently have a $150 paper weight. Not happy.

A nice little printer (in theory), hampered by an absolute DISASTER of an iOS app. Truly abysmal software. Connecting from my phone to the printer is slow and unreliable. Printing from Instagram is an exercise of intense frustration, since instaxSHARE will NOT let you queue multiple pictures for print. You end up having to: a) connect to your WiFi to let instaxSHARE SLOWLY access your Instagram feed, b) select a picture, c) find your usual template since instaxSHARE cannot be bothered remembering the last template you used, d) disconnect from your WiFi so you can connect to the Printer, which takes forever and does not always work, and finally e) print the picture. Now REPEAT THIS ALL OVER if you dare printing another photo, since you have to reconnect to WiFi to access your Instagram feed once again, thus losing the connection to the printer. It will boggle your mind. Nothing is cached and usability is a joke throughout. After printing a few photos instaxSHARE just simply refused to access my Instagram account and would display a "Data could not be acquired" error message instead -- no amount of restarting instaxSHARE or my iPhone would fix that. So so bad, and instaxSHARE is never improved, you will read one star reviews on instaxSHARE store that are one year old or more.

Wish I had come to these reviews before purchasing. I can’t get this printer to connect to my (I)phone, so I called support. The guy immediately said the printer has trouble connecting with new iPhones (software). He had one suggestion, “uninstall instaxSHARE , turn your phone off and back on, then reinstall instaxSHARE ” (which means I lose connection with him/tech support during the process). So I asked him, “if this doesn’t work, is there any other advice you can give me?”, to which he responded “Well that has usually worked in the past”. I tried reading him error messages instaxSHARE was giving me and he said he was unfamiliar with them, which makes me wonder why he is even answering the phone. It really felt like he was just trying to get me off the phone, I’m guessing he has to deal with phone calls like mine all day if this is an issue with new iPhones. My last question was “Is this the only trouble shooting option I have? As in, I need to just return the product if turning my phone off and on doesn’t resolve my issue?” To which he replied “You could exchange it.”
Sorry, but “Have you tried turning it off and on again” is not technical support. It’s a joke. Getting my money back.

Devs need to release an update as it no longer works with new iOS versions!! 😭😭😭

instaxSHARE was working just fine until my iPhone 11 updated to iOS 14 and now instaxSHARE cannot connect to my SP-2!! My phone can connect to the printer’s WiFi fine but then on instaxSHARE it says not connected on instaxSHARE / cannot find printer. I tried every troubleshooting option suggested online and even re-installing etc but still could not get it to connect again.

In the end, I figured out that it was due to the iOS version because I dug out my old iPhone 8 (still on iOS 12), installed instaxSHARE and then reset the printer to factory settings as prompted and violá—it’s printing again!! 🤯

What’s the point of buying an expensive printer if you guys are just going to give up on instaxSHARE ?? It’s been a year since this has gotten an update so I’m really losing hope in getting my SP-2 to print again unless I use an older phone. I prefer the overall sleek aesthetic and shape of the SP-2 but I was planning on getting their new device to keep in my bag until this happened 😡 Clearly they abandoned this version and are focusing on the new app for their Mini Link...if this is the direction they’re going in where they just develop a new app for every release, why would I spend another $100 on a device that clearly still works??

This is ridiculous. This application no longer works w/ my iPhone X. I have the Instax Share SP-1. It used to work just fine and now my device won’t stop blinking green after replacing the batteries and installing new film. On top of that, instaxSHARE won’t connect to the printer. I have gone through every measure possible- allowing all features, clicking every in app feature beforehand. Everything you can think of. I get to the final step to print and the camera won’t connect while giving me a disclaimer to ‘update the application so I can use the latest features.’ This message pops up just after I’ve installed the application for the 10th time. Again, it’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s more upsetting that their new app for their new device seems to be working fine. I guess FujiFilm has no problem confirming that they don’t support past models and have no problem also confirming that they could care less about their customers. I see others are having the same issues. It’s very unfortunate and very disappointing. We all spent hard earned money for a printer to print memories for another corporation to take advantage and disregard customer service. It’s inexcusable and I hope others will join me in no longer purchasing FujiFilm products. Would be happy to adjust my position if this issue is fixed.

Please update instaxSHARE ! I bought my instax printer sp 1 about 2 1/2 years ago and printed amazing photos from this printer. It’s a easy app to use where I can pick and choose which photos from my album I want to print or reprint again. However, nothing works now as I go to reach for my printer. My printer is connected and when I go click print photo- it says the printer is not connected and that I need to update instaxSHARE but instaxSHARE is already up to date from what the Apple store is telling me. This is frustrating knowing that my printer is in mint condition because I still keep it in its bubble wrap slip and box when I first purchased and now it won’t print my photos which makes it useless! Plus I had also recently purchased new batteries for this baby which are not cheap. Fix the issue please! I would like to continue to use my printer!!!!

Ever since I updated my iPhone to iOS 10, my app stopped working and I haven't been able to use my printer. I have the SP1 Printer and I have no problem finding it and connecting to it via setting--> wifi but every time I open instaxSHARE , it always says "cannot connect to printer". I've called fujifilm a year ago and they keep telling me the next app update will fix the problem. It's been a year and two updates and the problem still persists !! I've only had the printer for a year before the new iOS came out and instaxSHARE somehow became unable to connect and my printer has just been wasting away. I'm very upset as I spent a lot of money on the printer. If this is some ploy to get customers to switch out the SP1 Printer for the sp2 and sp3, despite instaxSHARE claiming to work for all three, I would be very disappointed.

I wished for one thing for my birthday, and this was it. I thought it would be so amazing to have a physical copy of my memories. It worked great, everything smooth and how it should be. It was until my phone updated to iOS 13 where the trouble began. I tried everything to be able to print something again, but nothing would work. I don’t have any other iOS devices that are not iOS 13.

To instaxSHARE producers- please please fix this issue. This is a great product and instaxSHARE worked fine until now. I loved every aspect of it, only the entire thing doesn’t work. This was very expensive, so it would be amazing if this issue could be resolved. I’m sorry for complaining so much, but I really don’t want to waste my parents money just to tell them that it doesn’t work a month later.

Wow this is an absolutely awful app. I connect to the printer, which by the way should be a Bluetooth connection, and not wifi (since I have to get off my wifi to connect to the printer, so nothing else on my phone works while I print). After I'm connected instaxSHARE will not connect and print the photo, even though in wifi settings I'm connected to the instax 'network'. It takes like 5 clicks on "connect and print" and sometimes a couple app restarts for it to finally print 1 photo. And the we do that over again if I walk away, cause the printer turns off so I have to start over again.

Seriously people?! This is the product you put out into the world?

I’ve been obsessed with my instax printer since it was gifted to me a few years ago. Its always worked fine for me but realized that when I upgraded my phone to the new iPhone I have not been able to use it even while fixing the location issue that I’ve read in certain forums! I’m so sad this is my favorite printer and I refuse to get a new one if this will just happen again when I upgrade my phone in the future. Support is there anything you can do? I have the Sp-1 model, and the printer just keeps flashing green and won’t connect to instaxSHARE on my phone the message that pops up when I try connecting it “download the latest application update to use new printer features” but instaxSHARE is updated and I already tried the “real time template location enabling” still won’t work. Has new batteries and film.

instaxSHARE was great and printed pictures very crisp and clearly when I first started using it.
Lately, it prints all of my pictures to look like a cheap print and no longer has the definition it used to deliver.
When using instaxSHARE , before editing a photo, the picture is blurry. When you tap edit photo, it’s a crisp photo. Then when you hit done or go back, the photo is suddenly blurry again. Thinking it was just a glitch, I printed anyway. I wasted my expensive film to print a very blurry photo.
I deleted instaxSHARE and reinstalled and rebooted my phone like suggested in the other reviews. This was no help at all.
I honestly feel very disappointed because I really loved this product and app together when I first started printing.

I just got the iPhone 11 and I just tried to print some photos on the instax share sp-2. It wasn’t working even though I was connected to the printer WiFi, so I decided to scroll through some reviews and see if anyone else was experiencing the same thing. I continued to scroll to see if there was anything that could fix the problem. I tried turning on the location while using instaxSHARE thing in settings and it still didn’t work. I tried going to real time template in instaxSHARE and there was nothing there. I don’t know what else to do and I really want to print my photos. I am so sad that it’s not working so can someone please tell me how I can fix this.

I love printing out memories I have with my friends and family but this new iPhone update doesn’t let me print out any pictures I haven’t used the printer since the update for the iPhone and yeah I want to keep printing but like I think you need to change instaxSHARE or make it work with the new iPhone updates please make that possible. Also I tried the ways on the location but I don’t see the location on instaxSHARE or I press the time thing on instaxSHARE and nothing it doesn’t allow me to do it.

I’ve had this instax printer since 2015 and even with all the phones I’ve had (Samsung and Apple) I was always able to connect to the printer. Today I updated my phone to the newest iOS version 13.0 and lo and behold I can’t connect to my printer. I have exhausted all of the options to connect it and I simply can’t 😑. instaxSHARE and printer are great if you have older phones and not the latest and greatest. Luckily for me, instaxSHARE still connects to my iPad mini 2 that is still on iOS 12.1.4 which is nice but idk if I’ll ever be able to connect this printer to my phone if the developers don’t update it often. I’ve had this printer for so long that it’s become a habit to document my life through the instax photos, but maybe I should look for alternative options if this is going to be an ongoing issue. I pray that instaxSHARE gets a makeover and makes it easy for us loyal users to keep using it.

1. Can’t connect to your own WiFi while connected to the printer. So you can’t download photos from the cloud or other location at the same time. This should be a blue torch connection, or the printer should be able to connect to my WiFi at the same time as my phone.
2. Errors of “this image cannot be used” for nearly all of my pictures. No indication of why or how to fix it. Had to search forums, and EVERYONE has this problem. Seems it all has to do with the Instax App not interfacing correctly with your photos on your phone.
3. Expensive for the printer and the film and to have all this trouble on day 1 is ridiculous
4. Poor software QA and real world testing with your “average” person.
5. Will be returning and buying Something else. Not because the printer is bad, but because instaxSHARE is horrible. Bad UI, bad programming, bad design.

I was able to connect to the printer with my iPhone 6s. I can take photos on my phone and print them and I can also print photos from Facebook and Instagram. It’s kind of frustrating having to make sure I’m connected to the internet to select a photo from Facebook or Instagram but then having to go back and reconnect to the printer to actually print the photo. My main issue is that I am not able to print photos from my photo album on my phone. I get an error that says “The selected picture cannot be used”. This feature was one of the main reasons I purchased this printer. How do I print photos from my photo album?

Edit: I have since updated my phone to iOS 13.1.2 and it finally works! I tried to print more pictures again today and now my phone connects to my SP-2! I was able to print out the pictures on my phone without any issues. I read another review on here and she said to allow instaxSHARE to access your location via the real time template on instaxSHARE . I tried to do it, but was unable to since I was already connected to the printer. However, even without it selected the connection went through and my instax printed everything perfectly. Glad I took some time tonight to give it another chance! For those who had issues before try this method out!

I am so sad that instaxSHARE no longer works with iOS 13! I just upgraded to the iPhone 11 Pro and with iOS 13 already automatically installed I had NO idea that instaxSHARE would not work. I tried many times to restart the printer and my phone with no success. However, I tried it on my boyfriend’s phone who still has iOS 12 running and it was able to detect the printer perfectly. I am not sure what I will do once his phone updates... please find a way to make this compatible with the newest iOS. I love using instaxSHARE to print from my instax SHARE SP-2 and I have no idea when or if instaxSHARE ever will be updated... the last update was 7 months ago.

So far I’ve had a positive experience with instaxSHARE . I have an iPhone 7 and the model 2 (recommend that one the most). I just charged it and once it was charged a little I easily connected to the WiFi and everything and printed out some photos which turned out amazing. Haven’t tried adding text or anything but I’m assuming it will look great. Maybe the developers could make it compatible for others versions and phones since other people seem to be having problems though

UPDATE:
After following the new instructions in the developers response instaxSHARE works again, yay! I’ve always been very impressed with the quality of this printer and now instaxSHARE is working again!

instaxSHARE worked until my phone updated to iOS 13 and now even when I connect to the printer’s wifi network instaxSHARE won’t connect to the printer. After reading through some reviews I tried looking to see if I could enable location services on instaxSHARE because that’s what the developers said was necessary to make it work. Go figure - there’s not even an option to turn location services on or off in instaxSHARE settings. Even leaving a review/comment online was impossible because the website asks you to select the product and it was impossible to actually find the printer. Overall I’m just super disappointed I can’t use the printer anymore - I loved it when it was working but now it’s basically useless.

For those using iOS newer than 13.0, to connect to the printer, the authority to "Location" is required. Since the handling of "Location" authority settings on the iOS13 has changed, some customers happened to meet the trouble. Click "Real Time Template" at App screen, and select "Allow While Using instaxSHARE ." If this dialogue is not indicated, please go to iOS "Setting" menu and App item. Then select "While using instaxSHARE " at "Location" menu.

Getting the dreaded “The selected picture cannot be used”. Message for most photos when connecting my iPad 2. Pity that the software stinks on high quality SP-2 printer.
