Unlike a lot of reviews here, I mostly don’t have any issues with playback with YESNetwork but the one thing you all need to change is your placement of highlights and game recaps. I’ve had like half a dozen NYCFC games ruined for me this season because you choose to place the match recap or game highlights as the first video, rather than the replay. I try to watch every single game and when I can’t watch it live, I use YESNetwork to watch the replay. Nearly EVERY time I’ve tried this season to not spoil any games for myself, you have something that shows the final score in the tab or highlights that show the score. Please change this!!! Just have a tab with the replay by itself and no other videos!

What’s the point of the poll graphic & the Edge graphic on our screens on top of the giant YESNetwork logo on the upper right hand corner? How big do you think our screens are? Please give us the options to hide all the extra unnecessary nonsense on the screen. What is the point of YESNetwork anyway? If we are using YESNetwork we know about YESNetwork , if we have cable we dont need YESNetwork , so who is YESNetwork logo for? I just want to watch the game. Also the same commercials over & over are very annoying, inning ends and there’s Jaime Foxx and a lion roaring at me. I cant hit mute fast enough.

I watch on either my main iPad or my prior one. Sometimes one works fine, other times it doesn’t and I have to go to the other one.
On my prior one it CONSTANTLY asks me to log in with my cable provider, sometimes with my main one. Sometimes I keep clicking on log in and nothing happens. And, since I can also watch on my cable, sometimes YESNetwork is as much as a half inning behind the actual live action. Dunno why—maybe the satellite is slow that day? But having to login so frequently is a pain in the *$$.

This new version is way worse when it comes to UX. They removed the button to switch between portrait and landscape mode. The only way to get into landscape mode now is to turn your phone. I have the portrait lock on usually so now the only way to get into landscape mode is turn off that setting and rotate my phone. It was easier before.

Also, now you have to tap a button to get into the Picture in Picture mode. Previously you could swipe up to get into Picture in Picture mode. That was way easier. YES, please change back to the way it was.

Y’all got rid of the full screen button to let people rotate their phones but I want to watch the games in full screen while my phone is locked. This shouldn’t even be a feature you gotta ask for it was here up until the recent update I think the front end just missed this

It’s convenient to watch my Yankees when on the go. However, YESNetwork CONSTANTLY asks you to sign in. There should be a feature where I can select “stayed signed in”. In addition, during the broadcast, a random commercial will start playing right in the middle of the inning!!! You then have to quit YESNetwork and launch it again. Finally, be prepared to watch the same 2-3 commercials over and over again. So much potential with YESNetwork to make this better when on the go! Must easier to watch on live tv then YESNetwork and that’s a huge problem in 2021.

I have never experienced a worse app in all my life. Wish I could give 0 stars or even a half. Not only does it constantly log me out of my fire stick, it often takes me 5 or so efforts for YESNetwork the even stay open. It will just never open.

Then, while watching, it constantly crashes. It’s so bad that I often opt to simply miss the NYC games instead of trying to deal with YESNetwork .

Crazy bad. Needs major fixing. I hate it so so much. Couldn’t even go 5 minutes without being interrupted by a crash tonight.

Compatibility has changed to where if you try and stream Yes Network app from iPhone/iPad (iOS 15.1) through a Chromecast and/or smart TV, the video and audio freezes every <5 seconds throughout coverage. Stream always starts out fine, then these issues crop up after <1 minute. Never had this issue before but has persisted since at least September.

Hey designers, all we want YESNetwork to do is show us the Yankees game.

1. It regularly freezes on the Home Screen forcing a force-close

2. It handles the TV login process very poorly, hiding content if your login has expired without asking you to log back in. Also freezes regularly (buttons don’t work.) And why do I need to sign in with an account first to then sign into my TV account??? Unnecessarily cumbersome.

3. GET RID OF ALL THE CRAP ON THE SCREEN. We just want to watch the game. No, I do not want to take quizzes. I already know I’m watching THE YES APP, that logo does not need to be so big (and doesn’t need the words “the” and “app” - give me a break.) And the EDGE icon doesn’t need to be there the whole time. Give me the option to get rid of that.

One star. Would not recommend if there was another way to watch the games :-(

YESNetwork pauses for no reason. My internet is 400 MB/S. There is absolutely no reason for there to be any lag yet it cant smoothly stream anything. Now if you try to chromecast it, FORGET IT, its unbearable. This is the only app, out of all the major sports streaming services, that I have this problem. Thru the process of elimination, i can clearly see that the YES NETWORK is the problem. Fix your app asap please. Its 2021, the technology is out there.

Do yourselves a favor and just copy exactly how NBC or TNT does it. Would do wonders for ur brand in this area

What a shame. It looked like you actually might have gotten this fixed, but your updates and fixes , are as awful as the Yankees. What a surprise.
Freezes again, no idea what is going on with the commercials in between.
I would figure it it should just be a straight feed from Yes.
Pretty sad when I get a notice from ESPN telling me they lost, and what I’m watching isn’t even over, then actually skip 2 batters that I don’t even see. Then the game is over

I have solid internet. Stream Netflix, YouTubeTV, Disney+, Discovery+ and other apps all day. They are pretty much rock solid. I watch the Yes app, constant buffering, freeze ups, black screen. I need to manually intervene to get the stream back. Sometimes only a restart of YESNetwork will work……for awhile. I have latest Apple TV, latest software, latest YES app but still stutters, buffers, freezes. Please get some new developers that can write a streaming app. Maybe Disney or Netflix can help. This is a mess.

It does a good enough job at reliably streaming Yankee games, but wish they would focus in fundamental stuff before unnecessary new features. Picture in Picture on iPad and iPhone would be great, or split view too. Other than that, please consider hiding or making app overlays go away. Just want to focus on the game, not the extra YES app stuff.

YESNetwork is good but can be better. I think picture and picture should be available as it a thing I use all the time and wish I had that feature. The on screen quiz’s and fun facts should have a hide feature and not take over the screen. Other than that if your watching a Yankees game it works great

this is a very good app and i rarely ever have problems with it and it’s really so cool that you can watch the game while your in the car or something YESNetwork is a game changer and i really needed something like YESNetwork, keep doing your thing YES👏🏼

Horrible app, customer service is no help with one guy every time, AirPlay is a disaster with a single static sound on almost ever commercial/ad and they simply cannot fix, and my AirPlay keeps freezing when I’m watching games. YESNetwork is off my phone. I hope you guys can get YESNetwork on my LG Smart TV but knowing you guys you probably won’t get YESNetwork on smart TVs!

One of the WORST apps I have ever used. Wish I wasn’t a Yankee fan, because I wouldn’t have to deal with the constant freezing, glitching and very difficult time getting it to work. I can hardly get it to play a game on my firestick (Never Loads). I have to restart my firestick constantly and it works 30% of the time on my iphone. Not sure why they can’t get their act together with YESNetwork? Never have this problem with Netflix, MLB app or SNY app.

For something that they’ve promoted this incessantly all year, YESNetwork really comes up short. When you can get it to work it’s fine, however it crashes constantly, makes you resign in pretty much every time, sometimes never loads the live programming, and overall it’s just a very glitchy app. Same applies with the Fire TV version of YESNetwork . YESNetwork is prettier, but the old Fox Sports Go app was more reliable.

Had an issue with the “login with your TV provider” prompt and they answered my whiny little comment about it immediately and solved the issue in no time and without a problem. Very good app, great follow-up support… Go Yanks!!

Great app works great for me especially since I’m the road a lot, I just wish they would allow Picture in Picture so I can do my work while watching the game on my iPad. I enjoy the “edge” feature and I wish the “polls and facts” had more real time stuff

YESNetwork is amazing! Thank you YES Network for finally coming out with an app. I hope in the future the black out conditions are gone and I can stream the Yankee games on here without using a cable provider. I also hope to see more app exclusive things on here to be even more engaged with the Yankees. Keep up the great work! This is the step in the right direction to provide people with the best Yankees content!

I cannot get over how well YESNetwork was developed and designed. Everything about it is truly amazing. Out of all the streaming apps I have used for live sporting events, this one blows em out of the water when it comes to picture quality and no time gaps between the games and commercials. I can go on and on, but you know the rest of the story!!!

I can use YESNetwork now on my Iphone and can watch videos. But I can’t even open YESNetwork on my Kindle Fire after installing it. You really needed to test these apps before you released them to the public. Thanks for updating the IPhone app. Now please update the Kindle Fire app so I can use it on my Kindle Fire too.

Thank you guys for finally launching YESNetwork! I recently moved to Charlotte, NC from Queens, NY and it was so difficult trying to get to watch my Yankees play. I understand that this is a brand new app but can you please add the Picture in Picture and the SmartCast/AirPlay option sometime soon ? That will make it perfect and definitely worth a 5 Star rating. Thank you once again !

Great layout on YESNetwork but I can’t get it to work. I downloaded YESNetwork while traveling. Logged in using my Xfintiy cable account info (NY Area) and it doesn’t work live. It says “log in with your cable provider to see the latest schedule” but I am logged in! How do I watch live? Thanks

YESNetwork looks great and feels great, but it’s missing the ability to cast the video stream. A lot of live sports apps let you airplay to a TV, but if you want to watch the yanks on a bigger screen you’ll have to use screen mirroring, which is less efficient and lower quality.

Initially YESNetwork had an issue with Xfinity users and wasn’t linking right but they quickly resolved the problem and now I have live YES and it works GREAT! Best app ever live Yankee coverage on the go can’t ask for anything better!

Now I can watch games even when my kids hijack the TV! The video quality is really great. Where are the 10 second rewind and fast forward buttons that every good streaming app has these days?

So glad to have all the Yankees all in one place. Great app experience - especially for a first release. There a few minor issues still - the video quality is fantastic. Looking forward to more!

YESNetwork is fine but I really want to be able to subscribe directly to watch Yankees games. Right now the only provider that allows Yankees games in my area is AT&T/DIRECTV, and I do not want to subscribe. I wish you would go with your own subscription model like Discovery+. I would pretty much pay anything! But I’m not subscribing to a different TV service just to get Yankees games.

YESNetwork allows you to customize which teams to follow. Options include Yankees, Nets, NYCFC, and Liberty. They gave us an app for the best teams in New York. If your a Yankees, Nets, NYCFC, or Liberty fan, the YES app is YESNetwork to keep up with your team

Wondering why I am being told this is inaccessible due to local blackout restrictions? I have always been able to stream games on the FoxSportsGo app without issue. I have Xfinity and live in NJ not far from NYC.

Huge Yankees fan so very excited about how great YESNetwork is. Interface, content and speed all top notch. Would definitely recommend any other fans to download ASAP. Go Yanks!
