How can this have 4-stars? If you want to watch the same 40-seconds of the game over and over I would say it would rate a 2. And what is up with the score and timers? It is like watching a slot machine while stuck in a time warp. I have excellent bandwidth and have had major problems with multiple schools as have other parents. Apple TV 4 and iPhone both are a similar crap experience. A total dumpster fire. I feel robbed.

Update-after a few decent games, again total crap. I feel like I am on an acid trip. Just billed again for a whole month so that I can watch the last game and I am missing most of it. Pieces of game intermixed with warm-up and gym cleaning shots.

Tried to watch grandson’s football game in Idaho. Couldn’t get signal - error message. Waited for several minutes then restarted app and got signal. Missed first 6 minutes of 12 minute quarter. Then in beginning of 2nd quarter the sound went away. Didn’t come back until near end of game. Hard to know what is happening without stadium announcer. Picture is from far away so you really can’t follow the action. Camera didn’t follow action if there was a pass or long run. Only knew what happened by watching teams either go downfield or return to last line of play. Also lost total signal several times in 3rd and 4th quarters. Didn’t expect much but app didn’t even meet my expectations.

Yeah... subscribed so my parents and I could watch my nephew play his football and baseball games for his senior year - game is started and almost through the 1st quarter and I’m getting better stats and info from my sister who is freezing at the game than this!! Error !!! Game delayed !!! Check back later!!! Bologna!! Game is started no game televised and you can’t even get customer support to respond! I paid $70 for this! Nothing for the whole game and suddenly - game disappears from the site totally and no chance of getting to see him play- we are 350 miles away- sorry I just can’t just drive up a buy a ticket ! Thanks for nothing!

Whoever decided to put a time limit on a live event is a freaking genius! (Sarcasm) I’m watching my two nephews wrestle in the conference tournament and as I expected they both make it to the finals against kids that have beat them either this year or last. So I’m excited to see it! But guess what? The geniuses at NFHS Network thinks having a time limit not even close to the length most wrestling tournaments take to finish is a great idea. So not even half way through the consolation round the live stream ends! Guess I paid to watch one of three rounds since the first round the camera was zoomed in to the out of bounds area between the two mats. FIX THE PROBLEM OF THE STREAM ENDING BEFORE THE EVENT DOES!!! It’s in every bad review on here! It probably takes a couple clicks of your mouse to fix it. I will be demanding my money back for this poor excuse of a network.

First time I tried watching a game all I could get was sound & a black screen. This was on a smart TV. Next time I hooked up a Roku to the TV & it worked, but talk about crappy quality of picture 90% of the time it was blurry & couldn’t tell which player was which. Camera misses half of the plays because it’s too slow. Couldn’t understand a word the announcer was saying. Also tried watching on an iPhone & had the same issues. So disappointing. I was excited to be able to watch games I couldn’t attend due to COVID & now I still can’t watch them. Will be canceling after my month of subscription is done. (Game was Wrightstown Varsity Football)

This is the biggest rip off ever. If I could give it zero stars I would. I called a week before our 1 month subscription was up to cancel. I waited on hold forever with no answer, so I did as they requested and emailed them . A week later they charged my credit card again. I tried to call again. Same thing. I have emailed them twice with no response at all and filed a dispute with my credit card company. I got to watch exactly one swim meet in the month I had the service , it was so far away it could have been anyone swimming in the pool and the only one left after that had a person standing in front of the camera the entire time. I do plan on contacting the FCC if I do not hear back from them and get the second month that they charged me for refunded.

Our high school has a wonderful professional announcer who has volunteered to call games. NFHS is now taking down the sound on our games and replacing it with an incredibly annoying track with gym noises and occasional sniffs. Presumably, their reasoning is that some of the music played during time outs or half time is copyrighted. One can hardly hear the music that is played in the gym. Our in house announcer studiously plays public domain music, and this is happening!! Our small community loves the games and the local announcers add tremendously to the broadcast.
It seems every game I’ve watched in the last week has the same awful soundtrack superimposed. Please stop this practice.

I don’t know how NFHSNetwork has decent ratings from anyone. The automatic cameras will follow random people on the sidelines and not show you the actual plays happening. The camera glitches all the time and this game I was watching, the camera was nonstop shaking. The score is never updated throughout the whole game nor the time. And they never show the scoreboard so you never know the score or time. I would know the score if it would catch all the plays but that doesn’t happen as I said. The microphone catches people yelling in the audience but it’s incredibly hard to hear the announcer. I’ve only heard them 2-3 times. I’ve tried to contact the company about this and they haven’t contacted me back in over a month. I’m cancelling after this game is over today.

Day one I had log in issues where my account was not recognized on any device and could not access content, which is apparently a common issue. On the days I can miraculously connect to my account and manage to actually stream a game, at some point the feed will disconnect. If I am lucky it will come back for some small portion of the game, but more often then not it doesn’t come back at all. I have contacted their IT, but have not received a single response or resolution to some pretty simple issues like being able to just log in. This place is clearly not capable of doing what it’s asking us to pay for, nor do they seem to care. Save your money and hope a competitor comes along soon.

I have screaming fast internet and NFHSNetwork did not work at all to stream a game. And that is after subscribing for $10/month. And when I contacted customer service be phone got a message saying they were inundated with calls and could take my call and that I had to e mail. Emailed and got an automated reply that said they were to busy and get to my request when they could. When I wrote back for a refund they said I had to go through NFHSNetwork Store because I bought the subscription through NFHSNetwork . Did I mention that they said on the website that I needed to buy NFHSNetwork to live stream? Garbage and a scam preying on parents who can’t attend games in person in the pandemic.

The idea is awesome. and during COVID it has been great to watch games I wouldn’t have been able to watch. However, NFHSNetwork constantly buffers, which I know may have something to do with my connection. Although other streaming apps work just fine. The other major annoyance is that I get the message “Oops looks like you are streaming on another platform etc....” I know without a doubt that no one else is streaming while I am. Just to be safe I have changed my password twice and it still happens. I’m trying to watch my daughters basketball game from last night on demand and have been kicked out more then a half dozen times. Each time I get back in NFHSNetwork restarts the stream from the beginning so I have to fast forward to the point I was at. Currently I’m starting at a blue spinning circle while I can hear my wife streaming a yoga class in the next room (so connection is just fine). I purchased the year subscription and NFHSNetwork is basically unwatchable. A giant waste of $75!

Had for about 3 weeks now. Have kids that go to two different high schools, both of which are on the site. However, not all games show up on NFHSNetwork , and even games that are scheduled may not work. Had a game last night that was scheduled, and then when we went to watch it showed as delayed and then it was never recorded. Not sure if NFHS fault or the school but either way a miss. This has happened a few times already.

Also, if you can watch it, the video is okay but it is not a manned camera, may be controlled elsewhere but if you want to watch soccer you will miss some action on either end of the field as the camera is slow to respond.

Third negative is there is only one stream. If someone else watching on another TV or device it will cut one off. Should have at least 2 since each parent may be in a different location and want to watch.

This is a pay service and should be better!

This was my first experience using NFHS this 2020 football season. Although I was able to watch some of my team’s games satisfactorily, more than half the time live broadcasts were unexpectedly unavailable (no explanation given...I was referred to the seller - Apple Apps in this case - for any refund I desired. I did not request this, but instead I suggested some reasonable concession) and/or totally unsatisfactory to watch due to technical feed issues (video buffering, tiling and skipping). Last night’s playoff game was affected throughout by these issues including garbled, unlevel sound (on announcer sounded muffled and the other was really loud) and black screen every 15 seconds or so through out. The replay I watched today worked better however the volume issue remains and constant video skipping.

Since our season has come to an end, I went to stop the subscription for the year but haven’t uncovered exactly how to accomplish this. The NFHS App refers you to the selling source which I’ll figure out.

Alas I would probably buy again next year, betting on improvements will be made.

I’ve now watched five high school soccer games on this, so I have enough viewing to give a fair assessment.

Each game, the algorithm built to track the ball...simply doesn’t. Most of the action in soccer takes place near each goal, the camera consistently centers to be back to the middle circle/50 yard line. This causes the viewer to miss the important action offensively and defensively.

If there are ball boys/girls on the sideline, forget it, the camera pays attention to them. Due to COVID we’re stuck with this as we can’t go to away games, I wish there was a better product but they’ve taken out money at this point. Based on what we’ve seen so far, spring lacrosse is going to be awful to watch.

I love the idea of being able to watch my kid play live without being able to be in the stands due to COVID. However, since paying for this service (going on a month) I have had nothing but issues! Do not waste your time or money! Constantly stays on buffering screen, freezes and looses sound. I’ve tried watching on my iPhone, pc and fire stick. Nothing works. My internet has excellent connection with high speeds. I called the school thinking it was their issue. Nope!! Their customer service is non existent. I’ve called and emailed with zero response! I will be canceling before my next billing cycle. So disappointed. I had high expectations. In the rare event it works, it works great. Overall, not worth it.

NFHS Network is a great idea and is awesome…. When it works. More than half the time the games don’t load or you will be watching a game and it will freeze and the get stuck on a repetitive loop so you get to watch the same two minutes of a game over and over. The customer support never has answer floor why not do they ever seem to fix it. And if there are a lot of people logged in and watching it only gets worse and worse. Tournament time is awful but it is always the device that your are watching on or your internet speed. Seems a little funny how you can stream any other provider and not have an issue and can stream the on all different devices and not have an issue but NFHS always has some sort of issue.

Green Run High boys game’s sound quality is poor. I know sound may not seem as important as picture, but last week they had a championship ring ceremony to present state championship rings from their victory last season. I turned my volume up to the max and could not hear anything but mumbling. I also like to feel like I’m at the game so it would be nice to hear better during the games as well. Aside from that, NFHSNetwork is great. Thank you for providing this service so I can watch my son and the stallions play!

My only major complaint is going through the live list and finding a bunch of games that ended hours ago still listed. How hard is it to take the game off the live list pretty soon after it ends ?

Also, why do y’all give the same canned and scripted response to every complaint? How about fix the issues rather than give the same standard “we are sorry...blah blah blah “. Fix your app and quit the canned apologies

To watch games, your computer must be supported by Google. Also, having a “smart tv” doesn’t guarantee that you will be able to watch the games. Regular season basketball games have no commentary and do not show the scoreboard, so frustrating! I watched on my cellphone. Better than nothing!

If you can’t get out to all the games the content on NFHSNetwork is where it’s at. However their taping are done on a timer and organized more by school than tournaments and events so finding what to watch is a challenge. There is no video editing so the content that is labeled as the game you want is usually the last of a late running game and then stops halfway thru your game and you have to guess where it finishes. Love that I can do this but wish it could be managed so to things are separated properly and easier to find

Absolutely disappointing NFHS is the representing body for high school athletics live. Screen is covered in ads and forced to watch ads every time I choose a different mat EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR A SUBSCRIPTION....PATHETIC. I pay less for my monthly HBO subscription.... I purchased to watch 2019 ND State Wrestling and the live feed comes up in accurate with playing feed from few rounds earlier. I missed the dual I wanted to watch because they were replaying earlier rounds.

Dear NFHS,
As a registered official, I'm embarrassed of your Representation of athletics by lack of care of your paying subscription holders and their viewing experience. Shame on you...

Half the season is over and the live stream finally worked. I was unable to watch but found the game on demand. Purchase to watch it says, so I do. At this point I can’t find the game I just had showing or any other game on demand for a replay. I had already contacted customer support to make sure I would be able to watch replays if I paid for a subscription. Yes you can was the answer. In reality, NO YOU CAN’T! Customer support was still really helpful telling me how to get with apple for a refund, not on why I can’t watch a game they told me I could watch with a subscription. If you are feeling bummed out about being deployed and missing your kids sporting events, don’t make it worse by getting your hopes up with NFHSNetwork!!!!!

I have had NFHSNetwork now for the 4h year. I have always intended to use it to watch my son’s basketball games when I cant make it or football games. EVERY beginning of the football season, NFHSNetwork is unstable and usually crashes. Clearly they dont keep up with iOS updates and find themselves scrambling to get NFHSNetwork working. THAT I blame on NFHS.

Its also highly unpredictable whether or not a game is actually going to stream. About 30% of the time, there are technical problems preventing the streams. Probably the schools and their wifi issues. Or equipment. Or frankly, just user error. I have a hard time blaming that on NFHS. But in short, be prepared for the fact that you might not be able to stream.

My son is out of the school after this year...so I have one more year of pulling my hair out. There really are no other options. Some company somewhere is going to actually do a good job with this. By then, it wont matter for me. In the meantime, NFHS is a complete joke.

NFHSNetwork is pitiful. I paid for NFHSNetwork , attempted to watch a high school football game. I was getting intermittent video feed. 3-5 seconds of stream, with 15-20 buffering... and before you say it, it was not my internet feed. My speed averages 160 Mbps and that night was no exception. I was able to stream the local school video feed, unfortunately, not of the game but, the press box. But, still a full video feed. Our local school could not broadcast because of some idiotic rules, likely because of NFHS lobbying the MSHAA association, the high schools are prohibited from broadcasting playoff games. To be fair, I did get the broadcast for the halftime, which was only commercials.

Also, I had more video than not in the second half. It was a seriously bias broadcast from the other high school. If I’m gonna pay, no one should have to listen to such a one sided announcing crew. I know, they are just rebroadcasting team feeds but, when people are paying for it, the homers should not be so obnoxious.

I will never purchase this service again! And I will actively lobby others not to waste their money!

Don’t waste your money. It works about 1 out of 5 times, but even then it’s awful. Poor picture quality, nonstop buffering, freezes up all the time. Frustrating. Seriously, don’t waste your money - you will be disappointed.

I simply wanted to watch our high school team compete at an out-of-state tournament over Christmas. I wanted the monthly subscription, accidentally chose the yearly. I’ve e-mailed, called, practically begged for help, no answer. No responses. No one answers the phone. Basically, I’ve paid $70 to watch 3 games in which every single one the score was wrong or not present. So disappointed and upset.

Wish I could give this negative stars because, one is generous. I live out of state. I purchased the service in the hopes of being able to watch my nieces basketball games. Instead of being able to watch games, all I have been able to “see” are “live games” that are delayed. Tried to contact customer service but their hour are extremely limited and are on EST. At this point I would be better off watching games on FaceTime.

You are a ripoff and if you are associated with MaxPreps, who is absolutely the worst source for information regarding High School sports, then I can understand it. You make everything so confusing trying to find the event I am trying to tune into, but also once tuned in, the screen goes blank with a bunch of circular dots and by the time the game returns, I have missed at least 2 minutes of action, which happened today while watching a Massachusetts State Championship Basketball game.

I got NFHSNetwork in Oct-Nov 2018. It’s a good app only when in use. However, I don’t use it anymore and would like to cancel my subscription. The subscription isn’t listed in my App Store and iTunes account. How can I cancel this subscription????? Two stars for not being able to cancel.

Absolutely a must have for a parent of a high school player or a high school sports fan in general. Watch your child’s game if you can’t make it. Scout the teams you will play on coming days. Watch other teams games that have an impact on your playoff hopes. This is seriously the best app on my phone.

I absolutely love NFHSNetwork. They've got a ton of good games from all across the country. My high school's football team is on there almost every week, and since I don't live near the school anymore, I watch them on here. It's super easy to use, and most of the broadcasts look like something you would see on ESPN. Well worth the $10/month fee.
