First, if I could give zero stars I would. I was so excited when I heard the Cubs were going to have their own network similar to the Yankees and the YES network. But, in my humble opinion the Marquee adventure has been a disaster. Like many, I had cut the cord on traditional cable. But, I am a TRUE Cubs fan and schedule and plan my days around Cubs games. Therefore, I had to use the RCN network in my building to get the games. That’s fine its whatever, cost of being a fan (same as cost of doing business lol). With that being said, a lot of times I’m not home, or at a friend’s place, or whatever. Long story short MarqueeSportsNetwork is straight trash, the network content is hot garbage, and you can’t stream to other devices that don’t have Airplay or AppleTV. Not to mention you have to have an iPhone, I mean if you don’t have an iPhone well you don’t have an iPhone. But, that’s neither here nor there. Marquee is owned by the Ricketts and the Cubs. STEP YOUR GAME UP!!! We deserve so much better!!!!!!

Where do you get off? I pay for Marquee in addition to cable; and here you are FORCING me to watch ads through MarqueeSportsNetwork MID INNING. You obviously do NOT understand Chicago Cubs fans. You are a terrible network and you will not be getting another contract. Fix your app and your FORCED advertisements for PAID customers. Literally wasting my time and money for sub par content and coverage. Make all the fun shows and cute ideas that you want; you’ll still never be able to broadcast 1 game without any technical issues in the output to homes. Trash trash trash From Sinclair. No one at Marquee production should ever be able to hold a job elsewhere. Watching the games is painful. Would rather listen to 670 a.m and not deal with all the crap you throw on the digital feeds and MarqueeSportsNetwork . Literal trash they could not fix if they wanted to.

It’s nice to be able to watch games on the go, however, there’s a huge delay which is caused by the ad. When you load the game it’ll show a flash of what’s going on then the ad will load. Once the 15 sec ad finishes it picks up from that spot. With that large of a delay it’s difficult watching the game, I’ll get updates on my phone WELL before what I’m watching. Typically there’s a slight delay but this is just frustrating... I get ads will happen but there are commercial breaks that will suit ads better and not affect streaming... I expected better from Marquee. Having extra time to fine tune things because of COVID and being the home station for one of the largest fan bases and this is the best they can do? I’ll look forward to any updates/the removal or fix of the ad issue. Until then it’s 2 stars. I’ll give 2 and not 1 because I love the Cubs.

I was so excited to be able to watch Cubs games on MarqueeSportsNetwork , but so far it has been a huge disappointment. When MarqueeSportsNetwork is launched, you can briefly see that live action is happening, but then the screen jumps to a commercial before you can actually watch the game. What on earth is up with that? Also extremely frustrating is that you can’t pause or rewind live games nor can you record them. In this day and age, it is downright bizarre to not provide that kind of functionality. Finally, about every other time I open MarqueeSportsNetwork I just get a blank screen and I end up having to delete and re-download MarqueeSportsNetwork before I can watch anything. I really hope MarqueeSportsNetwork will be upgraded soon to provide more functionality.

Besides what others have already said about the Marquee Network in general, (and Sinclair Broadcasting), MarqueeSportsNetwork itself feels poorly designed. Clunky, poor layout, and general laggyness is the predominant impression after using it for awhile.

What makes it all worse is the ads. There is an unskippable 15 second advertisement before the stream starts, which mean that there is a delay no matter what, every time. Also, if you mute your speakers when the ads start, it will pause the stream, essentially forcing you to listen to them. I would just shut down MarqueeSportsNetwork and open it up again, but the process is so clunky that it makes it a nuisance.

The 1-star rating is well deserved.

The only thing MarqueeSportsNetwork is good for is streaming. Everything else appears to be an afterthought. That would be fine except there’s a 30-second ad that you can’t skip every time you open the stream. Want to check the box score during game? That’ll cost you 30 seconds. Texting a friend about the game? You might as well just have them text you everything that happens.

Not to mention, the stream can be extremely unreliable. If it’s acting up, you won’t be able to watch the game. You will, however, have a seamless ad-watching experience as you reboot the stream over and over.

Initially I could not watch the Cubs with MarqueeSportsNetwork on my iPad and got the looping “sign in with provider”. I called my TV provider this morning to double check if they were aware MarqueeSportsNetwork was not connecting. They looked into it and where I don’t know what they did, it is now working. So it turned out it was not so much a problem with MarqueeSportsNetwork as it was my TV provider had to change a setting or something from their end to get it to work....happy customer am I.

In my humble opinion the Cubs are giving their fans the middle finger when it comes to how they treat them. They literally make you sign in again and again if you leave MarqueeSportsNetwork to do anything else. It is ridiculous. The ads get in the way when watching highlights and if you use MarqueeSportsNetwork with a fire stick it never remembers you when you sign in. Straight up trash by the Ricketts. We love our team but have to say, trying to watch is becoming too difficult. Hate to say it but its like they want us to become Sox fans. That’s pretty bad if you ask me.

MarqueeSportsNetwork does what it states expect two things that are very VERY frustrating. The stream stops every time I leave MarqueeSportsNetwork even for one minute and it hangs and does not resume the stream. Also, the stream does not load when I close MarqueeSportsNetwork and reload. I must DELETE MarqueeSportsNetwork AND RE DOWNLOAD EVERY TIME. Also, it does not remember my log in on the Roku app and I have to authorize MarqueeSportsNetwork ever my single time I load it up. This makes me want to delete MarqueeSportsNetwork and never use it again. Please fix as soon as possible.

Now that I can watch the Cubs games I’ll give it 4 stars. However, the reason I only give it 4 is the picture-in-picture isn’t utilized on my iPhone. Please allow MarqueeSportsNetwork the function that way. I can only watch MarqueeSportsNetwork on my phone and if I’m getting texts or something I’d like to continue watching the game!

Love the Cubs (5stars) but hate MarqueeSportsNetwork (0stars)… so frustrated with how glitchy it can be. Can’t even adjust screen brightness without stream freezing then have to X out to get going again which includes watching ad again.

Massive improvements needed for an app that is worthy to support a team as awesome as the Cubs. If it wasn’t for loving to watch as often as possible, would never use MarqueeSportsNetwork.

Never had as many problems with NBCsports app… so take some notes and make upgrades. Why should White Sox fan’s have superior service?

It’s a nice looking app. This is why I gave it 2 stars. Otherwise useless. I have xfinity—enough said there. Planning to become a White Sox fan. I can at least watch all their games. Which we have been, since we can’t watch the Cubs.

Some tips—First, open up subscriptions on MarqueeSportsNetwork to watch or airdrop to tv. Those of us with YoutubeTV & don’t want to switch to huluTV would be interested....Second, add xfinity to the login options for those of us who could also stream xfinity....

I was actually excited to have a Cubs streaming app but after a week of trying to make it work, I’m giving up. I can’t get through one inning without an error. I then have to get out of MarqueeSportsNetwork and restart it. Once back, I have to watch another add (that amazingly works every time, shocking!!!) to get back to the game that inevitably crashes. Rinse and repeat. Disappointed in this trash app. You got your exclusive channel now make this work for Cub fans! Sinclair and the Cubs organization, please make this right!!!!!

This is THE worst streaming app I’ve ever used. No play controls, stream freezes if you receive a call or if you minimize MarqueeSportsNetwork for a sec and makes you close MarqueeSportsNetwork . Just today, on opening day, I haven’t been able to stream the game, even though my internet connection is strong. It’s just an awful app. No effort put into design or functionality. I emailed them about this weeks ago (sure I’m not the only one), I did hear back but I’m almost positive no changes will be made.

As other reviewers have mentioned, you have to delete and re-download MarqueeSportsNetwork every time you want to watch a game and good luck getting it to stream to your TV. If you can actually connect it to your TV, you have to leave MarqueeSportsNetwork on and can’t text, take a call or put your phone to sleep. I am able to utilize both MLB tv and NBC sports apps without incident, but Marquee sports is a disaster. This is a second rate app and the Cubs should be embarrassed. Will have to settle for watching other teams this season I guess.

MarqueeSportsNetwork is horrible. When it works there’s an enormous delay. I get updated the score a solid minute before it happens on MarqueeSportsNetwork . And that’s when it works. I, along with quite a few other friends and family have the same issue. I finally decided to just open the site on my phones browser. Works way better and am pretty sure it’s in real time. Don’t bother downloading MarqueeSportsNetwork . It’s garbage. If there was an option for 0 stars I would’ve given it that.

I watch part of the cubs game every single day at some point using MarqueeSportsNetwork as I exercise. Once I turned the game on and stream it, I can never leave MarqueeSportsNetwork and come back in. The game never loads again. So every day, sometimes multiple times per day,I need to go and delete MarqueeSportsNetwork and re-download it. Then I need to sign into my tv provider again, as well. It would be great if they can address this issue and try and fix it. I have an iPhone 11 that is fully updated. Thanks.

Beautiful and shiny and new on the outside, nothing, including the team, works on the inside.

Multiple crashes during every game, make sure to enjoy an ad before the game pops on and then freezes 3 seconds later. The only way to currently get tomorrow’s game to even think about loading is to delete MarqueeSportsNetwork , redownload it and start the process all over again.

But guess what, if you’re lucky you get a half inning in (especially if it’s a road game...those first half innings rarely take more than 9 pitches these days) before the death cycle of crashes followed by an ad followed by about 7 seconds of awful baseball before another crash.

Please fix the team first, but when/if you do, MarqueeSportsNetwork shouldn’t be far behind.

I’m a dyed-in-the-wool Cubs fan. I like the Marquee Network coverage, their pre and post game shows, and their specials and docs. But MarqueeSportsNetwork is so generic, so featureless, and so glitchy, feels like it was patched together by Arnie Harris using 1970’s tech from the old WGN remote truck. There is no pause, no rewind, and no way to watch past games on demand. This is 2021, guys! Get hip with the memes, Daddy-O. MarqueeSportsNetwork could be a blast, and a great way of further building loyalty and engagement with customers. Cubs fans deserve better than this.

If you guys don’t all ready offer this please add a radio part to your guys app so people can use MarqueeSportsNetwork to listen to live Cubs games. And if you guys don’t do this all ready can you guys please add a notification part to MarqueeSportsNetwork? So when live Cubs games are on people who have MarqueeSportsNetwork can have the option to get notifications of what’s going on in a live Cubs game. Please update the the watch now part of MarqueeSportsNetwork . The watch now part of MarqueeSportsNetwork does not work anymore.

The fact that you can’t sign in yet with some of the major TV companies like AT&T makes me as disappointed in MarqueeSportsNetwork as I was with the Cubs’ performance at the end of last year. But still, go Cubs go!

I love MarqueeSportsNetwork interface and being able to watch video clips, especially unique behind-the-scenes. Go Cubs Go!

May change my rating. But, I signed in once to my TV provider and it let me, but couldn’t watch it. Now, can’t sign in. Guess no streaming for me, even though my cable company carries it. Not a good start! Time to delete it already.

Why dont you guys make this available for direct purchase instead of having us pay for a provider to watch this channel? A $15-20 direct service fee is a lot cheaper for us who dont want cable.

Just give fans an option to pay you directly, cord cutters don’t want to have to sign up for a full streaming service to watch baseball. I want to pay you and watch the cubs, just take my money!!!

It says At & t u verse coming soon??? How soon??? I do like how it’s on my actual tv tho. I just really wish I can use MarqueeSportsNetwork on my devices away from home... Other than that, GO CUBS GOOO!!!

I dont see a sign in for ATT Uverse??? If Comcast doesn’t come to an agreement I’m switching to Uverse.

Terrible. I have U-verse tv which had this channel yet U-verse is not an option of providers on MarqueeSportsNetwork.

I don’t see Xfinity on here so I can’t watch the cubs.

Need to add the Hulu option to sign in and watch.
