DGN

I have enjoyed getting most of my Disc Golf tournament content from DGN, however, I have one bit of constructive criticism, which I pray, will be clarified to the fullest. Some tournaments last year and I am sure this year DGN and it’s executives will have certain tournaments that will not be broadcasted on this network. While I do understand that we are wanting to grow the sport and get it out to the larger networks, you are cutting off your nose to spite your face, in a sense of parable. For those who have invested into the DGN content, make it viewable to those who have already paid for the content. I am sure there are legalities that will need to be established, but don’t throw those who support you and the network to the curb whenever you want to broadcast on a larger network. ESPN is not always the best network to broadcast the sport to larger audiences.

Loving Live Disc Golf!

So cool to see the live coverage. It gives more of the real feel of being there. Love the shots of the players hanging out and the stuff that usually gets cut for produced videos. Their are still occasional issues with lags and technical problems but seems to be improving. Commentary is good overall and they're improving as they get more time to. I personally could have less chat over actual play. Between time needs filled I suppose but During active play there's Nothing Wrong with Quiet space in my opinion. Insights and useful background knowledge and stories are great but 'less is more' in life I often find true. ...In short Love DGN and I love seeing our sport grow! 🖖🏼

Can’t watch after a round is over.

I absolutely love the fact that I can watch these events live, but it’s very upsetting that’s after I get off of work on a weekend and the event is over for the day I cannot go and watch the round that was complete. All it keeps telling me is that the event has ended and it does not allow me to watch the actual event.

In further context, I have been trying to watch the round to MPO cup event on April 15, it is now 815 Eastern standard time and it does not allow me too go back and watch the MPO card. This is not the first time and for someone who works on the weekends and all they wanna do is get home and start watching the events when I get home I can’t is extremely disappointing.

I completely support the DGPT just wish I was able to watch the events after they end when I’m paying for the subscription.

Great coverage for the growing sport!

Despite all the folks who want to complain about every little thing wrong with the coverage, you have to remember that the DGN is not ESPN nor do they cover the NFL, MLS, NBA, or MLB. That being said, for the scope of this sport this coverage is the best live broadcasting in the business. Sure you pay a monthly subscription, but every dollar you spend here is going towards improving the broadcast, coverage, quality, commentary and more. How cool is it knowing that we are giving towards something that one day could become the next big live coverage sport! Sure you have post produced content which has only been getting better and better but live coverage is an art and I highly recommend contributing to a growing sport!

All around good coverage!

Whether watching FPO or MPO, DGN has got you covered with great events and live coverage! I really enjoyed watching Worlds this year, live and at my convenience if I missed anything!
Good angles and shots considering the elements and limited internet coverage they encounter at times.
I held back a star because it’s not quite professional quality yet. The spotty reception makes for unclear and glitchy streaming at times. When I Airplay from my laptop to my TV I have a lot of lag at times, however, I found that if I Airplay from my phone it’s much less laggy if that’s useful to anyone!

Getting better all the time...

I've had the Disc Golf Network streaming service for about a year now. The structure of the Live broadcasts has changed over time, and is much less boring. Occasionally, one can still see glitches in the video, due to signal strength issues from the field. And sometimes the layout of the venue doesn't allow decent coverage at all. But all that is understandable given the current level of technology from venues that are quite different from golf venues.
I really like the addition of the commentary by Philo for the MPO and Elaine for the FPO. keep up the good work. :)

Great content, decent app

I love the content. DGN changed the way I enjoy disc golf coverage forever. Everything is so much more hype than post production and baby Doss is my favorite commentator in the biz by far. That being said, there are definitely improvements that could be made. DiscGolfNetwork feels a bit clunky I would love a categories or collections/tournaments tab instead of trying to scroll and wait for each row to load and a 15sec skip interface would be great. Also it’s not regarding DiscGolfNetwork , but can we please get some 1080p live content?

Not a consumer-focused service

The coverage often lags and unfocuses, and the playback videos take forever to be posted/you can’t start a live event at the beginning and watch through if it’s going on. I work awkward, long hours and can’t usually watch the beginnings of events, but can get to them about an hour or two in. So that means I can’t watch from the beginning until the event has ended and then it’s another day until the prior day’s coverage is posted. It’s not very satisfying for me. There has also been a lot of talk about an MPO commentator on here who people seem to find grating or detracts from the coverage, but rather than assessing their employee’s job performance, DGN errs on the side of nepotism and it’s pretty uncomfortable to listen to

Live Disc Golf

What can I say? It’s live disc golf. Every player who is even remotely interested in the pro scene have a subscription. It helps grow the media side of the sport and shows potential sponsors that the money is here. The UI and layout of DiscGolfNetwork is fantastic to boot. My one criticism is there is no double tapping the edges of the player to skip ahead or behind by a small amount like in other media platforms. Would be an easy feature to implement that would make my experience much better. That being said, I love the service and the footage/interviews/promos are very well done.

Disc golf network

I am an avid disc golfer with 20 years in the sport. Watching it grow over the years has been wonderful. Watching it finally explode has been so much fun. There are always growing pains involved. Dgpt and the disc golf network have taken on their role in a very professional manner and have been making leaps and bounds week after week. They are setting the bar for excellence in tournament prestige and payout, for men and women. Their venture into app based live coverage of DiscGolf has grown in a positive way. It gets better and better.

Amazing Coverage, Fantastic Commentary

Of every streaming service I have, DGN is my favorite by far. We set up a separate TV in our living room to catch every tournament, regardless of what else we’re doing or watching. I would recommend anyone who enjoys disc golf or even quality coverage of live sports to pick up DiscGolfNetwork. Two elements of constructive criticism: 1. More Sexton please! Nate’s insights and delivery are phenomenal. 2. Adjust Philo’s focus to leverage his wisdom and depth of experience. Most of what he offers today is correcting or contradicting his co-host.

New era of access to disc golf, with interesting production decisions

Overall I want to express my appreciation for live disc golf coverage as this is the height of such media for disc golf. I think the commentators are great folks, but do wish for a bit easier dialogue which I think will come with time.

The connection and quality has been ok with sporadic issues.

My largest complaint is that during this PPV coverage there are so many commercials. For the USDGC extra costs it does not felt like I should have so many ads that required to be viewed.

My review

I am very happy w the product DGN is putting out. It’s getting very good. My suggestion are.
Try a different combination of commentary.
Try some new blood and some old school disc enthusiasts.
They don’t have the hole that they are currently playing up all the time. I find myself looking all over the screen to see what hole they are on.
There are many times during a broadcast when the commentary doesn’t know what is happening. They won’t know what throw or what happened to somebody’s disc.
That would be the camera mans issue.
I would like to see how far a throw was as well as how far they have left to the basket.
I think the DGN is doing fantastic so far. These are minor issue to me. But to give it a 5/5 would need a few things yo happen 1st.

I have only 1 criticism

If I could change anything about DGN, it would be the start times of live coverage. I think the coverage should start on the second chase card. Last week’s coverage started pretty much the opposite because the coverage started with the lead card waiting to tee off on hole 3. If there wasn’t a wait time on that hole, we may not have had live coverage until hole 6ish. That’s all. Start earlier. DGN is doing great work.

I appreciate this network

I live in Spain and I really appreciate the ability to watch live disc golf. The timing is perfect for me to watch every minute.

Though the commentary takes much criticism, I think everything is heading in the right direction. With a few more years of experience, this coverage will be top notch.

I keep my subscription all year and look at it as an investment in the furure of the sport. Thank you for all your hard work.

Disc Golf Media

So happy and proud of DiscGolfNetwork. Thank you more please keeps getting better all the time too! Share with your friends; love the bonus content. Was deeply saddened when I missed major moments at the USDGC because the service went down tho especially after paying the 25$ but that is in the past!! The new season is blowing my mind with additional cameras flawless graphics and 4K coverage… thank you so much

Costumer Service Top Notch

I downloaded DiscGolfNetwork , purchased a subscription, and then couldn’t get in. I made a comment through social media and also reached out through the contact us option. Expecting I might be boo outta luck with the event starting today, I was contacted very shortly after by Jeff Spring himself and played middle man to resolve this for some random dude on the opposite coast. Top notch! And the content, please, as expected, magnificent!

Best Disc Golf Coverage

For someone that loves disc golf this is the best deal. You get to enjoy live coverage of not only the lead card but chase cards as well. DGN also does a great job of keeping up with the hottest round(s) on the course so they can have a camera on those players as well. Overall incredible deal. The player insight and commentating is very good thanks to Philo. Would recommend to anyone that truly loves and wants to support grow the game of disc golf.

Constructive Criticism

I am hopeful your platform will grow in quality. It is great that you have the ability to watch live the events. Your camera quality is not where it should be for the money we spend to consume your content. Of course there will be comparisons with Jomez...they beat you in quality, but live streaming is a big plus and for the most part your commentators are great. Particularly Nate. He is on point, and Val also.

Good app better disc golf coverage

DiscGolfNetwork is payed out weirdly and is missing a lot of content that could take it to another level. One thing would be a show on after round coverage. Maybe a weekly show highlight course around the country with guess stars joining the host at each course. As for actually enjoying a round of disc golf it is by far the best way to watch. The drama of live disc golf is way better then post produced.

Excited to watch some Disc Golf!

App seems solid. Looking forward to watching live disc golf, but the content on DiscGolfNetwork now is good, and DiscGolfNetwork seems well built. I like the fact that you can turn off your phone screen and the audio continues to play. Helpful for listening to the round while at work when you can’t watch.

So far so good

Like the layout. Seems like a good user interface and very little issues. Excited to stream tourneys and expect performance to be on par with the visuals thus far. Excellent work

I paid for and downloaded Disc golf network for the sole purpose of watching Paige Peirce's Documentary. I didn't have an interest in anything else (right away anyway) and now that I've joined, the ONLY video that has a lock on it is her Documentary. When I click on it, it says 'sorry this video is unavailable!' no explanation as to why. Its not showing under the pay per view side. Nobody at the network will get back with me on this issue. So ive wasted so much time and a small amount of money trying to watch her documentary with zero luck. So I guess i'm going to cancel my subscription. This has been the most frustrating experience ever trying to watch.
