I will say that from the start, RidePingo is horrible and impossible to use. I booked a ride and return for this morning at 9am. The ride disappeared from my upcoming rides and the driver didn’t show up (NOT HIS FAULT!!). I had to book another ride and couldn’t get one until 11:08am. The bus came after 11:30. The driver advised me to cancel my return trip and call when I was ready.
From now on, I will call to make trip arrangements. I will NEVER use RidePingo again!!!
Scheduled a ride 6 hours before I needed it for 3pm. I was in the Boise airport flying to Seattle.
When I landed RidePingo showed my confirmed ride at 2pm ! I scrambled and called to get this fixed. They were able to cancel the 2pm but could not reschedule me for 3.
It’s apparent that RidePingo does not take time zones into account Boise is an hour ahead. I could not find a way to contact the developer but this should get fixed!
My university is moving to this apps services, but it looks like I’ll get a lot more walking in because I can’t even complete the sign-up process.
There is a “next” arrow at the bottom of the screen, just off screen. Scrolling is “springy”. So I can scroll to SEE the next button, but when I release scroll the screen springs back to where I can no longer see it so I can’t CLICK on it.
This is the quality I would expect from spending called “Ride Pingo” which made my wife and I both laugh when I first said it out loud.
Sadly I cannot give it 0 stars and still write a review, so they get 1 for “can’t even register to use the application” out of 5.
They claimed that the Ride Pingo app does not give them flexibility to combine people on the same vehicle that are going to the same location. I and others I work with ride from our job to the Vacaville Amtrak station and have frequently been picked up later than should be or have been picked up so late that we have completely missed our train and have had to wait an additional hour for the next one. This is not acceptable and Fairfield Paratransit, Fairfield, micro transit, blames Ride Pingo. This dysfunction needs to stop. We may pay two dollars for a ride, but that does not mean that you have the right to abuse the privilege of driving us.
I love RidePingo and what it does in theory but a few features could improve it greatly. there should be an option to message your driver before they have picked you up, and a button to switch drivers picking you up. the problem with some drivers is they dont see you or arnt paying attention so they drive straight past you, and then drive a few miles away and cancel your ride. I like the rate experience button but unfortunately you can only do that after a successful ride. if you add these than 5 stars
If you’re in a hurry, and would like to get to work on time in the morning, I would avoid Pingo, otherwise you would most likely end up late. Somehow I am under the impression that the driver in the early morning shift (around 6-6:30am, in my area) tried to avoid picking me up, as making a turn at a corner could be a bit challenging for him. I made the conclusion by tracking (multiple times) how he drove around in the area. I wish I were wrong!
However, if you are going home from Kent Transition Station, Pingo is absolutely a great option, not only can you get home a lot quicker, but the drivers in the afternoon/evening shifts are professional, pleasant, with great attitude, and fun to ride with. Great experience with the pm drivers. Thank you Pingo!
Used this on a trip to Houston. Great alternative to Other ride shares. Super easy to use. Love the visuals. Pick up and drop off experience better than expected for ride sharing. Wish they’d bring this to my home town!
Like anything new; navigating RidePingo presented a few challenges for me.
Couple trips and I’ll be up to speed.
Great ride!!
Was in downtown Houston for the week and used this service. They are new but it was a really great experience ! Would recommend 10/10
Love RidePingo and the service it provides. RidePingo is very user friendly.
I will continue using it while I’m in the area.
So easy especially since I’m only in town for a week. They were so helpful and affordable !! I wish they were everywhere
Amazing idea for an app. I can’t use it though because it’s not available where I live. Doesn’t mean I should rank it down a star just because it’s a small business!!
I use Pingo to get to work and the drivers are kind and fast. Lots of features compared to other apps and has a very cute design with lots of nice illustrations
I have been using RidePingo since sometime and I have seen this become better with time. The UI is faster and smoother and I love what they are doing. More power to Pingo <3
On friday i had a trip snd it did not show onthe app i found another wayhome tbey called me looking for me i feel bad because theycame and i wasnt there Theres no way to check or get a pickup if its not there on ping so please work on app
Here on Bainbridge, I needed a quick ride to the ferry and PINGO was there quick! I also don’t have to worry about driving home from my event now or hoping Uber will work. I am excited for RidePingo and Kitsap Transit.
Great idea all and thank you so much!
I’ve had the same driver several times over the last few weeks… She makes the entire experience worthwhile… I’ve met very few people on Bainbridge Island that can give me the same stellar service with positive energy that she does.
Living in Houston getting around can be tough and there are spots in between that are to short to Uber but no city metro transit.
Enter Pingo. A great middle ground between the two. It’s currently operating between Downtown, Midtown and EaDo. Nice, easy pick-up process. Nice electric vehicles and completely covered in case it’s raining.
I hope the city finds a way to keep them around forever.
I have taken a few Pingo rides in Houston and it’s great. The drivers are friendly and rides are fast and reliable even though I was sharing the vehicle with other riders for part of my trip as well. I will definitely be using this service more often. I wish they would provide Pingo in more places!!
Easy, convenient, clean, fast and friendly service. Kudos
