For $19 US, this is awful. It has crashed and froze multiple times of all my workouts, today -5 times and I will be giving up because it’s ruining my workouts. I like the workout plan, but the app crashing is just too much. They could scale back as the timer feature seems to be causing the issues, and basically just make this a list of workouts but at this point it’s unusable for me. Other issues: you cannot enter any alternatives for exercises, add exercises or drop them from the day. The rest should have an option to be customizable, and if you’re going to have sound then you need to make sure it works every time. Also the recipes do not entice me at all, so I wish there was an option for a cheaper payment without recipes. I love Hanna and was super excited to try this, but at this point it needs serious work to be a good app.
So I made a review after my first use of the app and now that I have used it for 2 weeks I can say that the app needs work. The times only works if you your phone is open and on the timer. If you move off the timer it will continue to count down but not let you know when the time runs out. Big issue for me. Sometimes I need to answer my phone or text during my test period and I end up running over time because I wasn’t alerted. Also I still have the same issue as I did with my first review. The part of the app that chooses a program for you based on how you answer the questions still doesn’t work. For example: I put that I was a beginner and that I wanted to work out three days a week I only got programs for advanced five days a week. I understand this app is small and new but for the price that I pay monthly for it to have these issues it’s grossly over priced.
Love all of the different programs Hanna has built! They keep me structured in the gym and I’m seeing major gains that I didn’t before. However, the app needs a lot more work to be great. It’s full of bugs, and meal planner needs work too. Recipes are great, just not what I was looking for. The bugs are so distracting and frustrating especially when I’m in the middle of a workout. Wish she would add stand alone exercises in case I want to add in something that I’m focusing on getting better/stronger at such as squats, hip thrusts etc. that way I can still track it even if it’s not apart of the program. I signed up for the year subscription and didn’t go through the free trial. Wishing that I had done that before subscribing for a whole year. Love Hanna and the programs but needing more from the app. Not sure if I’ll renew unless major updates are loaded.
