Not worth it- crashing and freezing

For $19 US, this is awful. It has crashed and froze multiple times of all my workouts, today -5 times and I will be giving up because it’s ruining my workouts. I like the workout plan, but OWNU crashing is just too much. They could scale back as the timer feature seems to be causing the issues, and basically just make this a list of workouts but at this point it’s unusable for me. Other issues: you cannot enter any alternatives for exercises, add exercises or drop them from the day. The rest should have an option to be customizable, and if you’re going to have sound then you need to make sure it works every time. Also the recipes do not entice me at all, so I wish there was an option for a cheaper payment without recipes.
I love Hanna and was super excited to try this, but at this point it needs serious work to be a good app.

OWNU is really hard to navigate. Sometimes the timer works, sometimes it doesn’t. Would also be nice to have substitutions for workouts done at home, with a smaller gym. OWNU is also being used in America...where, unfortunately we are still under lock downs or crazy alternatives to get into a gym. So having alternative workouts would be great. Otherwise, will be my last time using OWNU. Love Hannah so that’s why I bought one year subscription. I know it is a new app so I look forward to how great it could be. Thank you. Still appreciate workouts. Also., adding music to play on app would be nice.

So I made a review after my first use of OWNU and now that I have used it for 2 weeks I can say that OWNU needs work. The times only works if you your phone is open and on the timer. If you move off the timer it will continue to count down but not let you know when the time runs out. Big issue for me. Sometimes I need to answer my phone or text during my test period and I end up running over time because I wasn’t alerted. Also I still have the same issue as I did with my first review. The part of OWNU that chooses a program for you based on how you answer the questions still doesn’t work. For example: I put that I was a beginner and that I wanted to work out three days a week I only got programs for advanced five days a week. I understand OWNU is small and new but for the price that I pay monthly for it to have these issues it’s grossly over priced.

Love all of the different programs Hanna has built! They keep me structured in the gym and I’m seeing major gains that I didn’t before. However, OWNU needs a lot more work to be great. It’s full of bugs, and meal planner needs work too. Recipes are great, just not what I was looking for. The bugs are so distracting and frustrating especially when I’m in the middle of a workout. Wish she would add stand alone exercises in case I want to add in something that I’m focusing on getting better/stronger at such as squats, hip thrusts etc. that way I can still track it even if it’s not apart of the program. I signed up for the year subscription and didn’t go through the free trial. Wishing that I had done that before subscribing for a whole year. Love Hanna and the programs but needing more from OWNU . Not sure if I’ll renew unless major updates are loaded.
I have been using this guide for about four weeks following the You vs You program, and I’m very satisfied with the workouts themselves. I have been going to the gym for about two years now, so I consider myself somewhat experienced, but this guide has been helpful in showing me where I need to pay more attention when exercising. Since I’ve been able to target specific areas of my body, I can actually see physical changes!
OWNU needs some work. It’s glitchy and the transitions from each workout aren’t smooth. The timer has some glitches as well and sometimes when I go to start it, it doesn’t work and I end up not knowing how long ive been working for. I have resorted to just using my Apple Watch to track seconds, which is fine but if it’s a feature in OWNU I’d like to use it.
Overall though, very impressed!

I am enjoying OWNU and the access to all the guides. Everything is laid out and categorized so well. I really enjoy the types and combos of tjeee workouts. Stays true to traditional weight training but unique in combos and approach. I love the timer feature that tracks rest time between exercises!
Some of the functionality could be improved. For example if I go back to a guide I used and restart a workout it doesn’t properly clear it and restart it. Also if you go to look at another guide and open it up I loose the guide I was using for my workouts. It seems like you can have more than one guide open at once. While these are things that I noticed and are opportunities for enhancement it does not affect my overall experience using OWNU. I love it and am a huge fan of Hanna. She’s such an inspiration and amazing person! Thank You!
Best Comprehensive Lifting/Macros App!

I got into lifting a few years ago to supplement my endurance training and have never been able to find a resistance training app that compares to the running/endurance sport apps on the market. I had been using a combination of the MapMyFitness family of apps, but none of those were geared toward lifting. I was literally using the Notes app in my phone to track weight/reps/sets every session — it was super difficult to review my progress that way. On top of that, I had taken some time off from the gym due to illness and housing insecurity and had trouble getting back into a regular routine. OWNU has been a total life saver. Not only are there a whole range of detailed guides to choose from (organized by fitness level and type! 😍) but I can finally finally track my weights and reps IN AN APP and watch my progress over time. AND there is an awesome nutrition section with great recipes, shopping lists, and a way to track macros. I mean, WHAT. Oh, and did I mention the amazingly kind and responsive app development and customer service teams?? Hanna and her team truly thought of everything.

Loving OWNU so far! Doing my first program and enjoying the workout, love the tracking weights and progress so as I progress I can see where I was and how I have improved. Love that the nutrition plan is in OWNU and the food is delicious! On some of the sets where I don’t have the right equipment I wish there were alternate exercises listed so I don’t have to search an alternate. Some sets mention alternates, but not all.
Does it have so bugs sure but every app isn’t going to be perfect always room to fix and improve as more users provide feedback! Thanks Own|U and Hanna feeling confident and looking to complete more guides!!

I did the 7 day free trial on a couple of other workout programs and this one has been my favorite hands down. There are numerous guides to choose from, the videos are on point, not GIFs. You will never be bored and I don’t have to think about what I’m going to do at the gym. It is super easy to follow, rest breaks are embedded in the program, love it! If I could change one thing it would be having the availability to switch the order of the exercises so I’m not going from one side of the gym to the other and back.
Been following Hanna on insta for YEARS. When OWNU came out I had to get it. OWNU is easy to follow and keeps me on a check list, which I LOVE! It helps keep me on track without over whelming me. I love that I can just click on the program and my next workout is at the top and I don’t have to search for it. I also really love her workouts and the set up she has for them. I’m half way through and have already lost ten pounds. I’m also feeling much better with more energy. It also helps that it shows the percentage of the program you have finished.... which helps keep me motivated. 50% done and cannot wait to see the results when I hit 100%! The food part of OWNU and amazing recipes and easy to follow directions on keeping up with calories. All and all I’m super excited to be using OWNU and seeing results. I’ve recommended it to all my workout buddies.

OWNU itself is great! It’s a huge improvement from AFLETE. Her app you get access to allllll over her old and new guides plus a great selection of food if you’re using the meal plan. They are continuously working on improving OWNU as well so even if you see a bug it will be fixed ASAP. Not only is OWNU amazing but so is the team. I have never had a fitness group answer before and not only that but they answer me basically right away addressing my question perfectly. I have been following Hanna for years and I couldn’t be more happy with OWNU she has created for all of us.

I have tried several apps for work out instruction because... I need structure and someone who knows what they’re doing. OWNU is by far the best and most comprehensive I’ve ever used. The workouts are customizable to your pace. There are instruction videos, some have alternative events for modification. She even assists with your rest countdown between sets! The meal plans are everything I’ve been wanting from other meal planning apps but they’ve fallen short. I love they are both in one app!!! I have been following Hanna for over a year and am so completely satisfied with OWNU.

OWNU has multiple weight lifting programs to choose from, and has everything you need for a bodybuilding app- it even has a dietary/ nutrition section with full recipes and even grocery list capabilities. I’ve been weightlifting for over 20 years, and this is one of the top 3 weight lifting apps I’ve ever used. The ONLY thing I wish they would add is a “total weight lifted” at the end of each workout you complete, to see how much weight you lifted during the routine. Otherwise, OWNU really has everything you need.

Ok.. I feel obligated to write a review. This is the only app, thus far that is actually interactive.. it’s not just a program with a list of exercises. I like that when you press START.. the program itself begins. I start with the warm up and it when the assigned set is done, you write in your reps and weight and it moves with me to the next set… and so on, to the next group of exercises. In between sets, OWNU with give you a timer automatically so that there is no time wasted between sets!.. I Love that! I was in and out of the gym quickly & wasn’t lingering like I normally would have been. 1 suggestion: I would like to know what the next Exercise is BEFORE it’s time for the next exercise. I feel like this could be included with the timer on the last set of each exercise so that way I can start running to my next station instead of waiting for the timer to complete before seeing the next exercise…. And also, I need to mentally prepare for that new exercise.. Lol.
Hanna has created such a great app with so many different options of workout plans. They are all very effective for the different results you’re looking for (weight loss, strength/muscle gain, etc). She has made an app that is inclusive for all goals. She has helped me gain back my confidence and will forever be grateful. It’s so easy to track tour workouts and for you to be able to see your own growth. I’ve tried many different workout plans and have not seen the results I was looking for. Also, the subscriptions are very reasonably priced because there are so many different workout plans to choose from. I will forever use OWNU!!

I’m a beginner and the first 2 months I was doing different workouts from different YouTubers including Hanna’s. Then decided to try her APP. Thanks to OWNU I have been able to follow a plan and I know now how important it is. I’m on week 7 of one of the GUIDES then once I’m done I’ll start a different one. I feel more motivated, more confident at the gym, and slowly but surely have seen some changes in my physique, minor but some, it’s what you eat too so maybe I still need more protein and not getting enough. Honestly I prefer it this way using an APP just so detailed and user friendly over an actual personal trainer next to me, idk why, that’s just me.

I LOVE OWNU so much! I’ve been weightlifting for 5 months and although I have lost 3 pant sizes I lack direction and structure at the gym. I’ve tried many apps and programs but this is the absolute best!!! So many options for different fitness levels and goals! Every workout leaves me sore and feeling accomplished. The recipes look delicious and I can’t stress how nice it is going to the gym with a plan. Or staying in and still having a good workout at home! I’ve always admired Hanna and this has been the best purchase I’ve made recently! I’m so excited to transform my body and use this even after that for maintenance! Also I haven’t noticed any bugs or issues with OWNU . Love love love it!

I’m not a newbie to fitness by any means, and so i’m usually skeptical of apps like this one… but all that being said, this app is AMAZING. You can choose your level of training and there’s tons of workout programs to choose from. It definitely keeps me on track and motivated, especially after losing some of that motivation with pandemic first hit. OWNU is great for all levels, and totally worth the (affordable) price. It’s easy to use, and there are so many options to choose from. In fact, my boyfriend and I are doing our second program (we’re about halfway through) and we’ve both gotten so many compliments on how strong our legs look! I can’t recommend enough.

I can not say enough positive things about OWNU. The features are too I itch. First, it has so many guides. You get your money’s worth there. The guides themselves flow with intention & are not repetitive. Each guide feels unique. I have completed my first beginner guide and looking forward to progressing and being able to do a guide with 5 days vs. 3. There is a food section with recipes, macro counter, macro calculator, and area for progress pictures?! I usually have multiple apps when it comes to fitness but everything can be done here. When doing your workout there are videos and tips. You can keep track of notes and it records a history from past guides and past workouts to see what you have lifted in the past?! I just love it and hope you do too. Thank you Hanna 💗
This is the first app I’ve ever paid money for. My friend found it and we split the cost to use the workouts. I’m a beginner in the gym and honestly the little tips for form and the videos help so much for me to figure out how I’m supposed to perform the movement. OWNU is simple and so organized, you can find different workouts catered to what you’re looking for and for your level. It has helped so much, especially for someone who doesn’t know what exercises to do. Being able to track my weights is also nice cause I can see how much stronger I’m getting. :) cost-wise, OWNU is so worth it. It’s nothing compared to what you’d have to pay for a personal trainer and you still get so much structure for workout goals. I’ve not had any problems at all with OWNU . So if you are looking to get fit, I’d say this is OWNU for you! I highly recommend. :)
