Flashtex Reviews

I just downloaded Flashtex and it asked me for a review. Since I was unable to use it yet I have to give a 1 star.

I would really appreciate a way to look through cards one by one in a deck while also having the option to easily edit them. Presently, there is an option to look at all your cards for a deck, which doesn't let you edit them while doing so, or you can go one by one through your cards and edit them, but to move on to the next card you need (1) to hit a back button to view all cards, (2) select the new card, (3) hit edit, (4) hit save, and then (5) hit back, and then repeat the process. If you could at most have to hit edit and submit once and then move on to the next card with a, I don't know, "next card" button or shortcut, then that would be nice. Even better if you could view all cards in an edit mode. Maybe there's already a work around for this, so take this request with a grain of salt––assuming this review will ever be read, which is unlikely. The other more serious request I have is that I you should be able to move cards between decks. Add an option on a card to "move this card to another deck" or after selecting a deck to "select cards to move" or something like that. It would be tremendously helpful I think. Notwithstanding my requests and issues, this is a great app if you would like to, as the name of Flashtex suggests, create flashcards that have latex functionality.

So far I like how neat the decks can be organized. The simplicity is nice. Maybe later on we can have the ability to upload documents into Flashtex so we can have an easier way of writing the flash card and not having to go back and forth between Flashtex and the document.

You can adjust how it shows you the cards, edit the cards even while studying, add pictures and sounds etc. It’s sometimes glitchy when making cards but nothing huge. I made 300 in short time

I need this to study for school and everything is great however it wont let me drop images which is huge for my study sets. I dont understand why if it says drop image here but it literally wont take it everytime i try to drop it. :/ so annoyed going to have to delete.

UPDATE::: changed from 3-4 stars because i figured it out, you can only include images that are jpegs

I love Flashtex because it offers multiple ways to organize your cards (decks, tags, etc.) and has full markdown support. The text editor is pretty laggy once you enter about 20 cards or so into a deck, though. I would love to see some optimizations made to the smoothness of the editor!

I spent a lot of time checking out the popular flashcard apps. If you’re reading this, you know the ones I’m talking about.

Flashtex is more polished, is surprisingly versatile, is pretty feature packed, and has new great features added here and there.

I’ve been using it for a couple months to prepare for my interviews to get hired as an airline pilot. I can’t speak highly enough of Flashtex. Allows me to easily paste in images to a flashcard, draw, type, etc. I wish I had Flashtex back in college when the only ones offered were chegg, anki, etc.

Looks good and lets you use Markdown and LaTeX!

There aren’t many flashcard apps that implement LaTex. I love this one. Thanks to the developer for continuing to update it with fixes and features.

Im amazed how many features Flashtex has! I hated anki cuz of how ugly and non user friendly it was. Not Flashtex, its what i wanted anki TO BE. I use Flashtex everyday. The creator is very quick to respond AND fix any bugs. I hope one day we get folders within folders :) Best 12 bucks I ever spent. Thank you for such a cool app.

Flashtex is wonderful and much nicer to use than Anki. I hope however, the author solves some bugs that come up when one tries to edit the cards on mac. Other than these bugs on the mac app, Flashtex is wonderful!

Great app that is packed with features and options for customization. Super smooth and easy to use too. I can tell a lot of thought and care went into making Flashtex, so hats off to the developer!

Can do everything you need it to do, and with the ability to add Anki decks this became by far the best flash card app I have ever used.

Flashtex is a very useful studying and learning tool with so much capability. The developer is responsive and helpful. After using it for a week, I can think of a number of ways to improve it and features I'd like to see, but this is only proof to me that I'm finding it useful and want to use it more. Highly recommended.

This is a very good at for writing down things you need to learn. Very versatile, and it works for me.

It’s a great flash card app and a way better bang for the Buck then the much more expensive options!

I really like Flashtex! It get the job done allowing you to highlight and add drawings. Definitely better than your regular ole index cards and a pencil 😂

Everything else is fine. It’s just that the icloud sync doesn’t work when you go back to Flashtex . You’ll have to completely close Flashtex and restart and then it will update.

I seldom review apps but this one has wholly and entirely won my heart. Intuitive design, great features, solid SRS software. It is a tad glitchy at times but the glitches have been getting fixed consistently and overall you can’t do any better than this app!

I've tried several tools like this, and this one was the most polished and had the right feature set while being reasonably priced.
