I used it here and there to make sure plants weren’t toxic to my dog. I eventually go ahead and pay $10 for unlimited monthly. Not long after I try to scan a picture and it says I can’t and to click this link to pay for monthly unlimited. I click it, it tells me I already have it but then still won’t let me scan. So I wasted $10 and now can’t even figure out how to cancel it. Contacted them and no answer. Don’t waste your $.

Update- it keeps charging me and there is no way for me to cancel my subscription that I can find! Planto is GARBAGE

I picked a flower took a picture of it in Planto , then it read as a rose, I know it’s not a rise so I took another picture of the leaves and it came back as a Zulu plant, then took another picture of the bud of the flower and it read as perriewinkle, the took another picture and it came back as jasmine (it’s not jasmine)
Then finally on the last try it read correctly as Gardenia .
At $4.99 per week I think Planto need some perfecting.
Cool app, sometimes incorrect information.

I wanted to see how Planto worked, so I signed up with the understanding that I could cancel it in a few days. I went on Planto , but there is no opportunity given to cancel. They do have a “contact” option so I used that to tell them I never wanted this and am dismayed that they have now charged my Apple account for several weeks now for $4.99 per week! What kind of people trick you into signing up for a free trial, then won’t let you cancel as agreed? Extremely disappointed, if not completely disgusted.

Like many others, I loved Planto at first. Bought a yearly subscription. After an iOS update, it stopped working. You cannot restore app - will not allow. You must sign in to your gmail account within Planto to even submit a contact form (while Planto is open and “views” you typing in your password). No response. I changed all my passwords. Does not seem safe.

Also, didn’t even work as the free version while I awaited a response. Tried to contact Apple as well.

Take out your phone, open Planto , take a photo of the plant you are interested to know. All the info pops up…I have download Planto for a week, find its easy to use, like a mobile plant encyclopedia, highly recommended.

I got two plant for my birthday but didn’t know what plant it was to be able to water it properly. I scanned both plants and within a few seconds I knew what plant it was.

I scanned a flower multiple times from different angles. The application took the picture/scan, showed a loading sign for about 20-30 seconds and then nothing. I tried directly clicking on scanner and also clicking on the scan option under the history tab. Same thing happened with both and none of the pictures/scans were saved either time.

I love Planto.. it is Awesome. I bought a year subscription and ever so often it asks me to renew Planto before the year is done. Has happened at least 3-4 times. Usually right when I need to use it and there is no signal to restore it. Frustrating… now it is not letting me restore Planto . Once again right when I need info. If it wasn’t for this restore glitch it would get 5 stars. Please Fix This!

Downloaded app to identify a plant in our vegetable garden that we accidentally forgot to label when planting, each photo I took gave a different answer, none of which anything we would’ve planted. So I took a photo of our basil plant, Planto told me it was a rhododendron bush lol. So I tried taking pics of our chili pepper tree, I took 6 photos and not a single one would register. Planto failed us on all accounts.

So far I have not been able to scan anything. It gives me that option and I click the button, it sounds like it has taken a picture but when I go to history it tells me I have scanned nothing. I even, in frustration, subscribed to your premium package. Can’t get it to work. I signed in, created a password, PAID, can’t get anywhere with Planto. Next step: unsubscribe!

So I took a picture of a Lilly in my backyard and it game up with the correct type. Well I decided to take a picture of my cat to see what would happen and it came up with some type of fungi. Then I took a picture of my toe and it said it was an Asian Pear. So y’all may want to look into that.

My experience with Planto : It Identifies 1/10 plants/trees I snap a picture of. Most of the time, I just get the spinning wheel, like it’s TRYING to identify the plant/tree, and then it just goes back to my camera without identifying anything. Then it says if you pay for a subscription, it identifies 94% of the Snaps you take. So maybe the free version is garbage, and you have to pay for Planto if you want anything usable? Frustrating.

Excellent plant identification system which also provides all the information you’ll need to care for most plants.

I signed up for the monthly unlimited subscription and don’t have access to unlimited identification scans. I’m guessing this is somehow related to the free 3-day trial period? I’m committed to the monthly subscription yet feel really annoyed I have to wait 3 days to actually use Planto .

Extremely helpful app. Saves a lot of great flowers and tells me what weeds are intruders. I am someone with no green thumb at all, yet Planto is teaching me slowly and I’m finally enjoying my yard. Thank you

I like Planto a lot, while on random walks I like to know the name of nice plants I encounter and Planto is everything I need.

I have an annual subscription that expires on May 2022. I recently tried to use Planto and it wouldn’t work. The restore option is not working and I am being asked to renew my $50 subscription. I used the contact form to get the issue resolved over a week ago and have had not response. Do not waste your money on Planto.

This is a fantastic app. Every time I take a picture it is so fast and correct in the identification. I would recommend Planto very, very highly!!!!

Planto is absolutely excellent. It is easy to load it is easy to use it’s accurate and very very informative. I recommend it to all ages!!!!!

I have been paying for a monthly subscription for months and do not have access when I’m taking pics to identify, Planto tells me to subscribe. I cancelled a few days ago since the service I’m paying for is not provided and no one will respond and I was charged again for another month. Definitely not pleased!
