Incredible all in one unit

I have loved my Eon One but this version is a substantial upgrade! I really love the ability to control the system remotely from my iPad. This solves a significant issue I had with my Eon One whereby you basically had to mix on stage or run an external mixer to the unit. And this unit is super beefed up from the Eon One in terms of bass, power, mixer channels and features. Very impressed!

My only complaint is I cannot find any user manual for the Pro Connect app. By process of clicking and searching I’m kind of figuring things out. I had to update the firmware twice before it would connect but now seems to work. But I am not sure how to navigate the program. Not everything seems to respond when I tap on it. Controlling channel volume is pretty obvious but beyond that I’m struggling. This would likely be a 5 star review if a manual were available for the Pro Connect App.

I am extremely impressed with this all in one unit. I have loved my Eon One but this PRX version is a very substantial improvement in terms of bass, overall power, and an expanded and high tech mixing counsel. And love the ability to control remotely with my iPad!

I got it to work well enough to be of use

First off, make sure all speakers are updated to the lastest version or it wont work in any capacity. If JBLProConnect says there's an update for your speaker available, update. Then, disconnect and forget the initial bluetooth connection through your phones settings, turn off your speakers, and wait a few seconds. Reboot the speakers, reconnect BT, and then connect to JBLProConnect . If you try connecting to JBLProConnect before connecting bluetooth, things break. After you try that a few times in different orders, it works-ish. It takes way too much time to get working, but it eventually fixes itself.

Once that happens, its pretty useful for EQing and transfering EQs from speaker to speaker. Only issue is that sliders are janky and unresponsive, you cant change EQs and channel gains for groups with the same speaker models within them (you can change group master tho), and JBLProConnect is a little confusing to navigate with no help section or tutorial. After you get a hang of it though, its useful enough to use regularly.

Note that my speakers (eon 715s) sort of didn't function quite right at some stages of the process after updating, but they fixed themselves within a few minutes and turning them off between attempts to connect. After you connect them and get JBLProConnect working once, though everything works smoothly and consistently with connecting.

Its a 4/5 app, but the mess of getting it to work, slider issues, and clunky navigation ruin the rating.

Unable to Connect new EON 718s Subwoofer

I was unable to connect my new EON 718s Subwoofer at all. Without JBLProConnect and its Bluetooth connectivity to related devices, the main features of this line is missing. When I called Harmon/JBL tech support they could not determine my issue because they didn’t have the same equipment on hand to troubleshoot alongside me. After 45 minutes with no changes they told me I needed to send my product back to my authorized dealer for a replacement. A few days later they called me back to inform me that nothing is wrong with my sub, it’s just that their app does not yet support their newest “professional” subwoofer. I gave a one-star rating because JBLProConnect is completely unusable for my use case, although I know that not everyone buys a subwoofer without the entire family of speakers to go with it.
JBLProConnect itself looks cool, I wish I could use it.

Apps sliders mostly don’t work

JBLProConnect sliders mostly don’t work either on volume or EQ. Can’t access EQ presets via JBLProConnect . Any change to a custom EQ setting requires a save function. Unlike the JBLE on JBLProConnect or the Electrovoice evolve app or the Mackie SRM flex appThe JBL connect app requires to pairings via Bluetooth for the JBLPRX one. JBLProConnect basically renders the JBL prxz one unusable in a gig due to the difficulty with trying to move the sliders. I see that I am not the only one having issues with JBLProConnect. JBL really missed the point with JBLProConnect. Speaker may even have to be returned because the remote via iPhone really does not work reliably.

Will be great when it’s fixed from PRX One user

I like the layout and overall design. The controls are intuitive.
The main problem is the response to touch is very flakey with long delay to respond. Also very jumpy when trying to drag the sliders and such. It’s barely useable as is. I’ll update this review once I try the next version of JBLProConnect .

Want to love it

I really want to give this a 5 star review and rave about it to my friends in the biz however in its current state I absolutely cannot. It needs the bugs worked out. I’ve spent quite a few hours in JBLProConnect and have determined that the only thing that really works is the graphic eq.

some of the more basic functions just plain do not work. Namely, the gain and volume mixers do absolutely nothing.
JBL can you please fix?

FEATURE REQUEST:
I purchased multiple JBL PRX Ones for my Mobile DJ biz. My DJ’s want to be able to hook 2 units up together via bluetooth. They also want to be able to connect them in stereo not mono.

Currently they can not do either of these things.
The only way they can hook multiple up is using xlr cables in mono.

PLEASE INVEST IN TAKING JBLProConnect TO COMPLETION. I WANT TO BE A RAVING FAN

Just Unboxed, A few Thoughts

Hello!

Just got the unit today, and it’s amazing how much you can control from JBLProConnect . Volume, gain, fix, master mix etc. It works!

My only complaint is that snapshots are not shareable between devices, so don’t forget to bring your specific device that has your perfectly mixed snapshot. Please fix this so we can share snapshots between devices!

Some flaws, ok. Selecting controls is difficult.

Does not show actual installed few version as well as the latest firmware version from the cloud, so guesswork / trust is needed.
UI is fine but not intuitive at first, lots of discovering needed, no help text. Looks like subsynth feature not available yet?

Needs work

Concept And function are solid but response is rough. You have to repeatedly try to find the zone that works for the control. For all the convenience the all offers, it’s frustrating to have to deal with the software. This problem exists on ipad too.

Buggy app

I love the PRX ONE but JBLProConnect is really buggy and needs attention urgently. It won’t connect to both BT units to run the system successfully. Not thrilled and makes the experience less than satisfying.

Does not work at all.

Just bought the JBL eon one MK2 and JBLProConnect does not work at all with it. Updated the firmware and now the battery indicator on JBLProConnect shows the battery low but shows fully charged on the screen on the speaker.
This makes this a big and expensive Bluetooth speaker now.

JBL connect pro app

Cmon guys don’t you want to see 5 star raving reviews ??? Redo/update JBLProConnect especially for the mk2 the sliders/faders are unresponsive and go from 0 to 90 in a flash when they work , try the Round knob style those seem to work flawlessly, I’m tired of turning up a channel a little only to go to full volume. ????

Unusable Touch Sliders

Useless for live application where you need to make simple volume adjustments as slider sensitivity is awful! Every other app, my finger controls sliders. Why can’t you get this basic function right jbl? Now I need a a Yamaha mixer before your mixer to control volumes. Fail

By

This app is terrible. Plain and simple.

I boot, reboot, reopen, and try to find my speakers and nothing ever works, JBLProConnect cant find them and its the only way i can apparently use both without a mixing board. Sorry jbl. I normally love your products but JBLProConnect is horrendous

Connectivity Issues

Unable to connect my JBL Flip 4 at all, tried everything to reconnecting it to my phone, reading instructions, and making sure that the connect plus button was on

Bluetooth issue built in mixer/ equi not working

I been trying to connect my cell
Phone and then tv. By it won’t pair with either one. Built in equalizer shows no sound effects pretty much does not work at all. Totally disappointed at the technology

However when I was able to connect the first , the only, day speakers are amazing and produce exceptional sound for vocal use if you have an external mixer attached to it.

Plz work on the software and built in equalizer

Please make this app usable

I purchased an Eon One MK 2. All the things are perfect.
But JBLProConnect is very hard to use. It is hardly sensitive to touch. I can't adjust eq and other sliding things properly. They don't move when touching.

Can’t sync speakers

I got two EON 710 speakers and was looking to pair them with JBLProConnect as it says it does, but I could find no place to do so. The interface isn’t very user friendly. If anyone knows how to do this let me know.

Can’t Connect

As many others have noted, I can’t connect which makes gigging with the PRX One impossible.

Why no demo option?

Can’t demo JBLProConnect . Useless for a potential customer.

Massive JBL fan. Loved the Eon One and the Eon One MkII seems like a solid overall improvement (couldn’t afford PRX One). Anyway, all is ok until you start trying to adjust volumes during a gig. The software needs a major improvement in that regard. Unresponsive and jumpy sliders that don’t gradually increase but rather, you have to guess the volume you’ve landed at and hope for the best

I try everything with mij Eon 712. I have 2 but impossible to work with the Pro app. Try all , for 2 nights.. wil sent all back this week.

PLEASE fix the touch sensitivity or whatever it is that causes some sliders not to move, and others to jump around insanely. WTF, JBL!? You created another great system and ruin it with a subpar app. Really? Please, fix this issue. I don’t want to have to go back to Bose.

Was able to use the app for about 10 minutes and now it doesn’t recognize the speakers. The Bluetooth on my iPhone says they’re connected, but I can only use one speaker at a time without the app. I turned the speakers on and off, turned my phone on and off, paired and unpaired and re-paired the speakers to my phone, exited and restarted the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and repeated all of these in different combinations and still the app won’t work the way it did the first time. Super frustrating and disappointing.
