Hi, I like Kocho, but there’s a problem I have with audio.

Whenever I try to upload a longer music file, it doesn’t seem to upload at all. I don’t think it’s a storage problem, I have plenty of storage and only one game I’m working on in Kocho . It’s not a loading thing either, I’ve waited a few minutes and the audio file still hasn’t uploaded. I’d like to finish my game as soon as possible since I’m on a deadline. I’m on iOS. Thank you.

I don’t usually write reviews but there’s no report bug feature so here goes.
I’ve only been using this app for a little bit but I love it. It makes the VN making process quick and simple even if it’s a bit limited with what you can do at times. However there is a HUGE problem I’ve been having with Kocho lately. I can’t upload audio files. Period. I’ve tried multiple file types, smaller sizes, different songs entirely, nothing works. This didn’t happen when I first got Kocho but something seems to have broken. Please fix asap!

Hello! I wanted to know if there was any way to input photos without having to save it to files, it would make things a lot easier and I have seen other people review Kocho and say the same thing. Thank you!

For some reason, I cant add a specific video. I’ve put it into multiple different formats and nothing seems to work.

Okay, don’t get me wrong but I love Kocho, but whenever I add my characters (when the background is transparent) the background is all white, not transparent, so when I add the scenery it’s the character with a white screen behind it, I’ve tried EVERYTHING to remove it on different apps but it just didn’t work, and I’m not sure how to remove it.. Is there something you could do or a tutorial on how to remove the white screen behind the characters?

When I’m downloading a song I download it but can’t use it to put it on my “start or leave” thing. Help needed, help appreciated

I’m really confused on how you make choices. I know that you click “input choice” and then you type in as many choices as you want but what after that? I want it to show a curtain text box when I click one of the choices but I’m not sure how to do that. Does it have to do with the “conditions”? I’m not sure how those work either. Can someone help me out? I’m new to the game 😅

I love Kocho it’s amazing I just started making my story! But when I’m putting photos or characters in why can I only use files? I’m always having to download photos. I might just be really dumb and there is a way to use photos form the photo library but if there isn’t can you add that please?

I love Kocho! I struggle with being able to set up things and Kocho really helps! Though I do wish we could add pictures from our camera roll, as it would make it a lot easier to add my art work in. If you can, i think this would be a great addition to Kocho !

I like Kocho so much but I’m confused on how to make choices and since I’m doing on a iPhone Kocho won’t let me put music in for reason but besides that I really enjoy Kocho

It’s working fine so far, I haven’t run into any problems. Except one...
When I try to export a file on my IPhone for bgm or sfx, it only chooses recordings I made on my voice memos (I think they’re called MPEG-4 files?). I’m a bit disappointed I can’t use anything else, not even a video file. I’m not sure if this was just me.

Kocho is really cool, and makes making visual novels easy, but i have some problems.

Whenever i try to upload an audio file it loads but when its done loading nothing happens, it wont let me add audio, hopefully this bug can be fixed :D

Please do add a feature in which you can add pictures from your photo library as it is much more convenient than downloading files!

I’ve been looking for an app like this for some time. I found this one today and gave it a try. So far I love it. It’s easy to use and offers pretty good functions. I would like to see several things. 1-the ability to offer more than four choices. 2-the ability to make the Go To function go to a random page, either in a given range, a given chapter, or selected set of pages. 3-the ability to assign a random number to a variable.
Edit regarding update 1.6.1 - font stroke color cannot be changed back to “none” once you pick a color. Picking “none” simply retains the past color picked. Please add the random number capability. I need to be able to generate random events (what’s in a particular room, or what treasure is in a box.)
Edit: Been 3 months since an update. Still desperately hoping for random functions (random numbers to variables and random “go to” locations. Any time soon?

Does this mean I can make a 2D story game? A game that everything is 2D but you can move around as a character up and down and add animation

Kocho is overall pretty good but like many others, it would be easier if there was an option to upload photos directly from the photo library.

this app is great! I love how I don’t need to know any coding and it is really easy to use! I hope they add a way to let people without Kocho play our visual novels. I’ve been looking for an easy way to make a visual novel and this is the best way I have found! Looking forward to future updates!

Kocho is really simple and easy to use, i love it and i’m going to use it more, but if you can do you think you could make the text boxes customizable. The current text boxes don’t really fit my story and it bothers me, being able to change the font would also be very helpful.

Kocho is amazing and extremely simple and I love it, however there is only one thing I want to suggest that be added: that you could duplicate things like characters because I get tired of resizing every character when they are just changing expression.

Also, I really want it to be possible that you can repeat the character editing (size and the like) so all my characters can be the same size and all I have to do is move them to the side.

Kocho is fantastic, ESPECIALLY for a free app. It’s a great way to help beginners like myself get started making games. I love it so much. I have two suggestions, though.
1) I suggest allowing photos and videos to be downloaded from the user’s photo library as well as their files. That makes it a lot easier, at least in my opinion.
2) With the choice/variable feature, it’s a bit annoying having to add a variable component to every single action. I suggest maybe adding a folder or grouping feature of some sort that can be used inside a scene, and any actions in that group will play out if a certain variable is active, as if each has their conditions set up this way.
Other than that, it’s an amazing app. It makes me so happy that it’s free. Thank you for this!
