They will not let you use Resizeit unjless you give them access to all your photos. Security nightmnare!!!!!

I used two apps one to convert HEIC to JPG then to resize it but worst of everything could not meet Reddit 500kb tried taking that image back through made a PNG and tried resizing that still could not get to desired size. 5 seconds in a Linux computer with gimp done. Absolutely useless if your goal is to make an avatar or social account image where space is at a premium. So Resizeit failed perhaps go back and think will this work for profile images on most sites coming from the excessively large files on iPhones these days.

it pops up to grant access to images in settings. Which settings, where, no information is given. Resizeit does not have a settings option too.

This is the first app that poped up when I searched "pictures resizer" I have photos not in my photos app and this can't open them to resize them.

Resizeit looks great and has one of the best UI that I have ever seen. That is until you try to choose a photo and realize that it only lets you pick from your main camera roll as far as I could tell. No other folder, including the hidden folder. Between that huge problem and the fact Resizeit hasn’t been updated in over 1 year = total deal breaker and a two star review for me unfortunately.

Resizeit does exacly what it says, efficiently. But now it tells me that I only have 10 gb of storage free and won't let me do more images. My phone itself has plenty of storage, so I'm not sure if Resizeit is taking up storage room or why it won't let me continue using.
This has been an efficicent way of resizing photos for upload...I want it to keep working! There is no option to delete files or clear cache. What do I need to do?

This is a good app! It may not seem like you really need to resize photos, but it’s possible to fill up even the biggest capacity of phones with photos that don’t need to be high resolution. However, we really need the capture date to remain the same so that the “new” photos stay in chronological order. As it is when you resize and delete the original, it puts the “new” photo at the end of the photo album. Is there anyway you can fix this? I only did 3 stars because this is a major limitation and makes Resizeit almost useless u less I resize phones immediately upon capture. If Apple restricts your ability to do this, let me know and I will bump Resizeit to 5*.

Resizeit is EASY to use! That’s HUGE for a non-tech savvy person like me. HOWEVER, when I went to use it the second time, it indicated that I’ve already used all my free storage. So, it wouldn’t compress my second photo. I can’t figure out how to add more storage or how to delete the first picture, to free up space for the second picture. Ugh, technology frustrates me. I was REALLY hoping Resizeit was going to be something easy I could use, whenever I needed to compress a photo for my channel. *sigh*

It was great until they changed to compressing to HEIC format. Unusable in some applications. Please bring back an option for JPEG.

I guess there is a note saying it's for Mac "Photos" but that really not that useful. I need a quick way to drag images in and resize. Seems like an easy improvement. Bummed.

Love the design and layout, and it works great as advertised! My only suggestion: for PNG files, let us be able to convert to JPG to help save even more space. I take plenty of screenshots on my phone, and it’s nice to shrink the resolution down. But Resizeit only does same type shrinking (PNG -> PNG), it means it only saves so much space. Being able to shrink AND convert them to JPG would be great!!👍🏻👍🏻

It is simple to use, straightforward with clear information. No guessing game. Yeah, it doesn’t have all the fancy stuff resizing options but it does the job right.

It would be great if Resizeit also adds a small optional feature - removing GPS/ personal data from the photo.

I’ve looked at many paid photo resizing apps, and tried 2 free ones. This one is the best. It keeps excellent quality even downsizing megapixels— I actually can’t see any difference comparing the quality and resolution between the original photo and smaller, resized photo. Plus, Resizeit has excellent privacy — doesn’t track or identify users in any way. A third big plus is that Resizeit is easy to use, while allowing the user to set the degree of resizing. Frankly, I’m uninstalling my other free resizing app, and I’ve stopped looking through paid apps. This one does everything I need, very well. Last comment— do not worry about Resizeit being unchanged for 2 years. It’s already great, would not change a thing.

No joke THE BEST photo Resizer app that there is. Everything is free. No ads popping up 24/7 it’s so easy to use compared to the others. Not any part at all sponsored by Resizeit or anything and normally don’t leave reviews but I had to leave a review on Resizeit.

Resizeit does exactly what it claims. Resizes and compresses your photos. The only thing that would make it even better is if I could change the format at the same time. Currently, I have to use a second app to convert the HEIC files to jpeg.

After searching for an app to simply reduce the size of a photo I found photo resizer. So easy to use and provided what I needed to simply size down a photo…without an annual or monthly fee. Thank you to the developer!!

Resizeit downsizes your pictures in record time making sending groups of text pictures a smooth process!!!

Would be nice in resized could be written out to new area and not in original location

Worked great to resize photo that needed to be under 2MB. Definitely recommend. Simple to use and quick. Just what I needed
