I had to compress a video for work, I was told I had to have it as MP4. I placed it in VideoCompressor and when I converted it turned it into an MOV. the export option is greyed out as well. How can I keep my file type???

At least at this point in time. Hope it stays that way. If you set proper expectations you'll be satisfied. I'd never compress a video for storage, but I would for a transfer. I needed to compress a short movie, of which the audio was the most important and it did the job - from 110MB down to 12MB.

After endless Google searches, websites that had a freemium compressor cutting off the file size I needed, and unhelpful browser extensions, I came across the Video Compressor app! This was so easy and suprisingly painless. It allowed me to cut the file size down from 1.5 GB to 400 MB.
