The visual design of this product is undoubtedly excellent. However, there is a very fatal issue after downloading and using it, which is data loss. The first time I noticed it was when all the notes I wrote on the pictures suddenly disappeared, and the second time, all the pictures I collected disappeared. The overall user experience was very pleasant, and I was willing to collect some pictures in mymind. However, I will not use it until I can be sure that data loss will not occur again.
The concept behind mymind is incredible and I would love to see it get better. As it is right now, it’s difficult for me to find anything in it and it doesn’t always save what I put in it. Another issue is moving from one place to another in mymind is not intuitive and it’s difficult to get out of some screens and into the others again, I do love the concept, and hopefully will continue to develop it and make it worth the cost and effort.
mymind is a great concept. I love the idea of being able to save all my clippings and ideas in one place without the need to sort or tag them, but then still be able to find them later.
The issue for me is that, because I do so much work on my iPhone, I need a solid iPhone app. That’s where this app falls (very) short and it’s what is keeping me from subscribing. Right now, mymind feels like the web browser. There’s no dark mode (as basic must-have for paid apps) and some things just don’t save. For example, trying to save an Instagram post results in an error message.
In addition, the AI is not as good as Apple Notes. I did a couple of side-by-side comparisons and I had more success finding things in Apple Notes than this app.
This service has HUGE potential and I think if the iPhone app was more solid, it would be worth the cost. But so much of what many of us do these days occurs on mobile devices so a good iPhone app is a must.
Really good app! The idea is fantastic, the UI needs some work and it is getting better. But in order for me to use this long term I really need a way other than an Apple/Google sign in method. I can’t fully utilize mymind unless I can access it everywhere and these two sign in methods are not sufficient. Also I don’t find much value in the serendipity area, it completely deletes the bookmark from your tile. Maybe have it archived instead? I personally don’t ever want to delete or remove bookmarks and I have a lot of them.
Saving and searching information is great. However, I cannot see a way to click on saved information and return to the original source. Most of the information I collect I may need to reference or purchase in the future. This system does not seem to save the sources. This should be an easy fix. Otherwise mymind and online system is perfect and just what I need.
This idea of not having to organize is phenomenal. It’s so easy to just throw stuff into this app and if I need it later I just search and it’s there. The only bad part is the actual app. It feels like a webpage. There is no Haptic Touch support, no dark mode, intuitive gestures, and visually in my opinion looks unfinished. There is limitless potential for this app and they already achieved the hard part which is developing this amazing service, they just need to create a iOS app to complement it, not detract from it.
i just tried updating one of my notes within mymind 3 or 4 times and every time i thought my text was saved yet when i opened the note again my text was lost. Either there is a bug, or the UI is very unintuitive or unclear around the update + save note functionality.
Overall it is very frustrating to use mymind on iPhone, especially as a paying subscriber. I love the web version but i may have to switch to using google docs when i’m on the go.
I really am loving using this app. It’s helped me keep track and remember a lot of important things and has come in handy often. The problem, I find, with mymind is that there is too much friction in capturing an idea. Right now I have to search for mymind , then open it, then click on the bar, then type. Because of this, I sometimes get too lazy and omit jotting something down. This goes against everything app aims to do.
This issue, however, is easily solvable. Just add support for a lock screen widget so that when I whip out my phone to jot something down, there is minimal friction. Other than that, mymind definitely deserves a 5 star rating.
I really enjoy using mymind. I like using mymind to write down things I want to remember to look into and it works pretty well overall. There’s a few features that I think could really be useful for navigating mymind and just stuff I think would be neat. A filter-by function within the main page and the search engine would make it even easier to find notes your looking for. Being able to pin notes of great importance to the top of your main page would be a god-send if you don’t want to go through the hassle of searching. And something I just think would be really cool is a linked notes function, so that the notes can build off eachother, think something like email reply chains. Looking forward to seeing more developments and again, i’d really love to see any of these features!
UPDATE: Developer reached out and fixed the issue I was having. I’m still testing out mymind .
I signed in with a google account and typed my first note. I clicked save and it took me back to type another note. It kept doing the same thing over and over. I tried to swipe the type note window but it wouldn’t let me! mymind is useless!
This is an amazing app. It’s like Pinterest, Evernote, Pocket, your favorite task list, and so much more on steroids. I can see I’ll be using mymind a lot. So why am I walking knocking off one star? To be honest, the icon for iOS is ugly and a bit disturbing in my humble opinion. The Mac app has a simpler icon that I prefer much more. I wish the developers would give us a option to choose the icon, even if it’s a paid option.
Beware one other thing: when you sign up for mymind, you will get a lot, and I do mean a lot, of emails about how to use mymind . It gets a bit annoying. Fortunately, it’s easy to opt out of.
I love mymind and use it daily, but if it truly wants to replace all the writing / bookmarking / notes / read later / Pinterest - and I want it to because I deeply believe in this maker’s manifesto - it’s gotta support drawings the my Apple Pencil. Until then, the iPad app just feels like a blown-up version of the iPhone app.
It’s truly magical in use - a 2nd brain for people who don’t want to build a 2nd brain. Not being able to accept a quick sketch is a bummer and keeps me from giving it 5 stars.
this app is a joy to use!
It’s beautifully designed but it’s also super functional and it just works. I use it more and more each day to jot down notes, capture online articles I want to read later, and capture images. And more.
And this app’s combination of intelligent tagging and lightning fast search + OCR make it easy to find anything I’ve saved.
Give it a try..
-Tech these days is all about productivity and usability. But, we primal humans will always notice a thing created in beauty. An app. A person. A relationship. A poem. It doesn’t matter. We are programmed to be responsive to the thing which captivates our collective senses. Love is an example.
mymind does that. It’s not that it makes me more productive, more efficient, or more responsive. But - it does make me more aware of the beauty that exists in people, particularly the beauty of creating beauty. That’s what Tobias et al have done with mymind. I really wish people would wake up to their first mind, the one that silently guides them when the developed mind fails. I have a PhD, and am proud to say mymind thrives because of its of emphasis on the aesthetic, sacramental, sensual value - the same I see in apple, Bose, and Australian home design.
Keep on keeping on you guys, and please - don’t stop when the tech tide changes again. Cheers.
As a creative who does a lot of internet research, I’ve tried many tools over the years to organize everything I gather from the internet. Evernote, Instapaper, Pocket, Pinterest, you name it. But because I do a lot visual work, I felt that all of those tool were either lacking or over complicated. this app AI tagging system and super fast image loading is a game changer for me. Its a very simple, minimalistic and it just work. Love it. I just wish it wasn’t as pricey as it is, and I’m-fast image loading is a game-changer for me.
mymind is everything I’ve been looking for. It has AI built in, it intelligently identifies objects in pictures you take and tags them for convenience. The search feature paired with the card appearance is literally EXACTLY what I’ve wanted.
Now, it’s not optimized for, what it seems like, the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I’d use this religiously if it was sized correctly. (It’s a simple fix!!!!)
this app is one of the most beautiful apps I use, and I was happy to upgrade to a subscription. It feels like a safe space for everything dear to me along my spiritual journey. I save everything I need to remember to mymind , and it’s immediately available across all my devices. I recommend using this app because it has already become a treasure to me.
The recent UI update to this app has taken mymind's experience to the next level. Adding images now feels seamless with the dynamic background animations that play as you scroll.
As someone who really appreciates thoughtful UX design, I'm impressed with how the small touches like the ambiance backgrounds enhance engagement and bring new life to old content. It's the details that elevate an already great app.
this app continues to be my go-to for documenting thoughts and ideas. The updates keep things feeling fresh while maintaining the intuitive core workflow. I can see the care and intention that goes into each new release.
If you're a fan of journaling or note-taking apps, this app is worth checking out. The team delivers frequent improvements to take the experience to the next level. I look forward to what's next - this is an app going places.
This is truly transformational in organizing all parts of my daily and long term ideas, inspirations, and utility focused resources. The organization of multiple content types alone would make this invaluable, but the ability to search beyond just tags and folders through AI removes my burden in saving things properly and assures that I never am stuck in a position where I’m unable to find what I’m looking for. This is better than my actual mind, it’s my brain supercharged and much more organized. I can’t wait to see how much better it gets as I continue to fill it with resources.
mymind is so versatile and truly helps keep my brain organized. I have been using my mind for almost two years and it has become my journal, my mood board, my checklist and everything in between. The team is constantly updating and improving

I don’t know why mymind has such low ratings. I think it works really well, and adding things to it is much easier then to Pinterest—which requires a few steps. Its organization system is quite good, too. I just reinstalled it and am using it to organize a bunch of links and files.
If you want to try deep search executed well, get mymind. It’s beautiful and functional. I can’t find any of my “saves” on Pinterest without searching forever. The deep search function on My Mind has made me completely switch over from Pinterest to My Mind. My Mind has become a part of my every day life!
Not kidding. For those unaware it’s like a quiet, sophisticated, ad-free version of Pinterest where you can save images, links, notes and more. The interface is breathtaking. I especially love the dark mode. It’s calm… not harsh like some dark modes. Think more like twilight or violet hour.
In the future, I’d like to see a crop feature for things I’ve already saved and a way to group things by folders. For example I did some research and saved a bunch of demo models to this app, but I don’t necessarily want to look at them on my dashboard. If I could put them all in one folder I could access later that would be great.
I use the desktop app primarily, but this app has literally changed my daily workflow. No more fragmented information in a variety of apps/locations…everything is in one place. I do wish they’d release a dedicated iPad app however, as Safari in iOS can be buggy at times. The more you use it the more powerful it is. Definitely recommended!
I’m looking forward to reddit cards generating a preview again, rearranging spaces, Serendipity within a specific tag/time, an option in the sidebar navigation to see the date while scrolling, and a way to more easily “see” specific text in a card/mind notes when doing a search.
It’s come a long way from 2021. I love it, and it’s only getting better. Thanks!
