Whering:Digital Closet Stylist Reviews

I have spent HOURS cataloguing my wardrobe, and I see a lot of potential with Whering! I love how it automatically edits your pictures to remove the background and doesn’t save every individual photo to your camera roll. I also love the randomizer (though I do wish you could randomize accessories as well). I would love to see a few improvements, though. First, some items immediately get classified (incorrectly) and I cannot fix them. For example, a pair of earrings got classified as a belt. Also, I wish you could add your own categories (like earrings), brands, etc. and they would be saved in Whering . Most of my brands are not on Whering so I have to keep putting them in manually, which is a pain. I’m going to keep Whering downloaded, for sure. I am hopeful for the future of Whering!

I really wanted to love Whering. It is the perfect thing so for someone like me who likes to have everything organized and catalogued. I was so excited at the idea of swiping through my wardrobe while laying in bed and put together my outfit for the day. Unfortunately Whering is extremely buggy and many features don’t work. I couldn’t get the upload my own items button to work so I was stuck with the pre-uploaded items they force you to add to your wardrobe even though I had absolutely none of those items in my actual possession. When I tried to reach out using the chat with us feature I never received a response. BUMMED to say the least. I really do hope they fix the kinks, but I’m the mean time it is just wasting space on my phone.

Whering looks the cleanest out of all the digital closet apps I've tried and I'm definitely keeping it, but I wish there were a way to add items into categories for the seasons and filter by season when viewing the items in my closet. The thing I don't like are the tags added to each item. I don't like having to go through and delete the maxi dress tags on my tops and other things that don't match what my item is.
There are lots of good things about Whering and I would absolutely recommend it. I'm looking forward to improvements and new features.

I stress about what to wear more than I should and being able to track outfits makes it easier for me to get ready on tough days! Whering itself is fairly easy to use, I love that it removes the background & resizes the photos for me! I like being able to make my own fits and plan them into my calendar, helps me to figure out when I need to do laundry !!

I love its functionality and while it took a while to upload my wardrobe, totally worth it!

I do wish it would show me weather in fahrenheit because idk how to the conversion in my head lol

I’m having fun rediscovering my closet, and Whering is suggesting some fun new combos.
Feature request: In “dress me” mode, the default combos seems to be tops + shoes, or tops + bottoms + shoes. I’d like to be able to customize the options, or add more banks. For instance: shirts + cardigans (or jackets, kimonos, etc) + cami + accessories… and so on!
Also I updated today, and there’s a new bug when replacing a photo of an existing item. The replace photo screen gets stuck and I have to close out & restart Whering .

I loved Whering, the concept, etc. and uploaded many of my clothes over time. However, after a while the outfit functions started glitching and not working. Instead of saving the outfits I made, it just kept showing the loading sign for minutes. After restarting Whering several times it still wasn't working (the outfits that had been loading were gone), and now it doesn't even show me the outfits I made prior to this error anymore - all I see is black exclamation marks in place of my outfits. Really sad about this, I'm currently coming up with a lot of fits I'd like to document :(( it's been going on like this for weeks.

I want to love Whering so badly! It is the most beautiful, logically laid out wardrobe app I have seen. I just think it’s missing a lot of detailed features that other wardrobe/closet apps contain that makes this unrealistic for me to use. I wish you could add Brand, Price, Fabric, Color, and the name of the product. I also wish you could have more specific ways of filtering as opposed to just a search & filter screen. I will keep tabs on Whering because I think there’s a lot of potential, it’s so gorgeous, it just isn’t as functional as other apps out there.

This is the most amazing app ever. I have always dreamed of having the clothing organizer outfit thing from clueless. This is that, but so much better. So many awesome features. They also have a section where you can get your clothes refurbished or donate and you can find new pieces that are all super ethical. I just love love love it! You can also create mood bored or style ideas from things you see online !! I’m obsessed! You can even plan outfits !! Love it!

I really like Whering and the concept but when I try to save an outfit that they made for me it says “null check operator used on a null value” and makes the loading signals but doesn’t load it, if this problem was fixed everything would be perfect and recommend.

I could not find a better closet app than this! It automatically edits out the background to clothing (that I felt was impossible to do for other apps, considering the whole reason I was downloading Whering was to organize, not to photoshop). I love the features and the organizing options, as well as how easy it is to delete items from the wardrobe. Will forever recommend Whering!

Whering is super cool and has a very cool concept and ideas! But it is SLOW. It will take me like 5-15 minutes just to edit the tags and style and occasions for one article of clothing because it just takes so long for the tags to load (I started timing it, sometimes I wait over a minute before hitting the X and trying again). Then half the time I have to redo it anyway because it doesn’t save what I selected (even though I hit save). I’m very excited about the concept for Whering, so I’m really hoping that these are issues that can be fixed :)

What a great concept and idea! It helped me decide on lots of different outfits AND I found myself wearing items that I had completely ignored for years!
It took some time to upload my wardrobe -but to be honest it takes longer to choose my outfit every morning. Highly recommended!

I really want to love Whering but it is so buggy and unreliable. The features and aesthetics are everything I want in a wardrobe planning app but it doesn’t feel seamless or like it’s ready to be used. I can’t reliably see or edit my items, i loved the clueless style outfit picker but it doesn’t show that to me anymore and I don’t know why. I have high hopes for the future of Whering but as it is I don’t find myself using it.

Love Whering and how organized it is! I wish the wishlist part had a feature where you could add directly into your closet.

Whering has nice aesthetics, but I took quite a bit of time uploading clothes only to go back one day and see that it was all gone 🙃 also, they kinda box you in with their questionnaires, I really don’t identify with the 3 major archetypes of “sophisticated, modern, sleek” or “feminine, elegant, classic” or “laid back, casual, comfy”.

I love the concept of Whering and think a lot of aspects of it are amazing. I just wish that there was more freedom in the randomization feature. There could be more categories added to the randomization for the sake of layering as well as incorporating accessories.

Whering has made me dress so much better and has given me a whole new shopping strategy. Every purchase I make I LOVE and that’s such a nice feeling. this app is the best kept
secret.

I tried making an account after seeing someone mention Whering on TikTok but keep getting the error “unknown platform exception”. Also, I find it strange that you have to enter your entire date of birth and phone number to make an account...

Hands down best app of its kind. Creating outfits, organization done soo easily. Love the look

I love this concept and even with some issues this is still absolutely the best free digital wardrobe app out there. Some of the features don’t seem ready to use though like when I’m making an outfit the sorter at the bottom doesn’t work. I can click the ‘tops’ or ‘bottoms’ buttons but I still just see all of my clothes listed. I also wish there were better sorting options instead of my clothes just being listed in the order added.
I hope they continue to finish up / fix some of these buggy issues because Whering has so much potential and is still fun!

love the concept but the UX is so glitchy. wish I could crop my photos manually as well. keeping Whering in hopes of a good update soon bc I want this in my life!

Whering is waaay too glitchy. To the point where it’s actually unusable. Really cool idea but needs to be executed better
