Been here for 2+ Years

So I figured I might as well do a review. First off, don’t listen to the people who say customer support is weak, because they are just upset. Customer support has gotten me my account back after an incident where someone reported me just to do so. The support is wonderful and really nice. They have lots of content, and Its super easy to use without paying so much money. Just need patience guys! I do like the new beta feature of selling, however I would like to post some suggestions regarding this app in general. So listen this app, my friend, you guys have Disney right? So why not Star Wars?!? Disney now owns the rights to it and I see it as a big game changer if you do. In the real world, Star Wars merchandise Sells quick!! So thats just a tip. Also, this next suggestion I spoke with the team about but I’d like to post it here. What if we have a verified users stamp? And maybe even a space to advertise for our shops other than listings? I mean, I am doing great with my shop, but like eventually business will slow down for me. I was selling 60+ items a day, to now like 20 a week. I went from 0 sales to 502 in just two weeks since I have been back! But now Its been days and barely a sale. I also recommend that we have more free options on the Fyber coin wall. I barely get those anymore and when I do, I take the offer asap! Anyways, thanks to those who read my rambling of ideas.

To Quidd team

So, I joined this app in January of 2018. A friend had told me about it, and it seemed cool. Back then, showcases had just been removed, with replacement through shelfies. At first, people didn’t like these. However, as time passed by, they were accepted. Of course, this app was too late to remove them in favor of showcases, and now they have replaced them with listings. At this point, it kind of feels like eBay. The only way you can show items you have is by selling them, which you may not want to do. Another complaint is the removal of trades. Now, when you want to trade with a friend, you have to do it at insane speeds to avoid a random from snatching it from under you. Finally, I’d like to talk about the coin system. This free reward redeemers either don’t work, or give you less then you were supposed to have. Not to mention, the fact that coins diminish so quickly. One final suggestion: Make packs other than cards purchasable separately. If you think about it, you probably would not be spending money on a random pack of a POP figure. Since you guys have figured out the ‘estimated price’ system, you could price the separately sold items based off of that recommendation. While these items should be sold individually, they should still be included in packs. Thank you for your time. ~ JackMP

It’s fun but some issues

Alright so I just started a few days ago and I was thrilled to collect things. Of course in a way this is kind of dumb as you can’t actually get these but collecting is still fun when it’s digital. Anyways, since I started “late” all of the items that are here are sold out, which makes you needing to trade with people. There’s no problem with trading things but sometimes people are at high demands for things you don’t have. Another thing is that there should be more fandoms. There’s just so little options and out in the real world, there are more movies, games and comic funko pop vinyl figures to choose. Just add a new fandom like The Walking Dead, or Stranger Things, it literally any other show or video game. Finally, the coin system. I’m not the one for buying in-game currency so I usually watch an ad to get 500 coins. But sometimes it doesn’t want to give me the coins so I just wasted 30 seconds for no reason. I’ve watched 5 videos in a row and on the final try, I got my 500 coins and ONLY 500 coins. It didn’t add up all the other times so I just got robbed of time. And one last and final thing is the showcase. Now I thought it would be a good idea to fill up a thing with pop vinyls. But ever since I added like 12 of them, Quidd just crashes over and over again. Maybe it’s because the figures take up so much space but it’s just ridiculous.
Any ways, it’s still fun. It just needs some things tweaked and fixed

Money hungry 😞 and rude people!

When I first started about 3 years ago I was telling everyone I had just started. Everyone was kind and sweet, but a lot lately, I’ve encountered rude and serious people, but this is just an app where you collect cool and cute stickers for shows, movies, comics, etc. that you like. Not a serious app where if you don’t get what you want is the end of the world. Honestly, these people don’t make the concept as fun anymore.
Another thing is that a lot of really rare and cool items are just telling/forcing you to buy the one-and-done pack in the coin store. I mean I wouldn’t be mad about this if it was a chance box/package for the item, as well as a one-and-done kit in the coin store. But, it’s JUST in the coin store. It’s so aggravating to find out that the pop or card or sticker that you saw in the feed was “Coming Soon!” costs you 10, 20, 30 dollars in real currency.
It’s a nice game and had some potential, but the rude people online and the money-hungry dev’d game isn’t a nice touch. I still use Quidd because I just love the concept so much, but honestly I’m not on it most of the time anymore like I used to be. I know developers can’t change all the rude people, but at least make the game less money-hungry!! I don’t have the money to buy all these packs in the coin store!!

I don’t use Quidd anymore... (PLEASE READ)

I liked this app when Shelfies and Trades we’re still a thing, but ever since Selling was introduced, Botha of those things have disappeared. Trades and Shelfies are gone. Shelfies were my favorite part of Quidd , getting to show off what you have in a creative way, or getting to look at others (mostly) creative Shelfies, and they were a way of socializing. With Shelfies, people could notice and say “Hey, that’s pretty funny.” Or “Woah coo!” That’s why I loved Shelfies so much, I got to show off what I had and socialize with people. One thing I hate about this app today is it’s ONLY selling. People only sell rare items that have no use unless you’re showing off that you got a rare item. It’s completely random, I could get the same rare item from the pack way CHEAPER, but less rare, it’s not like if you have a rare item, you get boosts or anything, it’s just a way to get more this app Coin from something you sold. I just wish this app could bring back displays, it would bring joy to me and probably a lot others. I barely even open the this app app anymore because of this reason, the only reason I open it is because someone messaged me or to get more stickers from some pack. I loved getting to show people what I got in a fun way and socializing with them in the comments. Please BRING BACK SHELFIES. This is why it’s a 3 Star rating, I’d give it 4 or EVEN 5 if this app brought Shelfies back.

Getting rid of trading was actually a good choice

Trading was so abused and misused that people hated it, there was no way to fix it but to get rid of it. Just like in real life, someone could swindle you out of your items by agreeing to a trade that advantaged you and then falsely reporting it, also people would swap your items last minute before agreeing to the trade and you’d be out that super rare item. Not to mention people would put out impossible rules (like “X fandoms only, 1st edition only, no numbers over 300, no exceptions, to negotiations, no compromises” and so on.) so you have to jump through several hoops just to trade one item.

Selling items is better, you have a better chance of finding something you want, you can’t get swindled out of your items, you can’t be falsely reported, and you get coins. So stop complaining before you know the facts.

Still marking it down a star, however, because someone has to buy the item in order for it to be taken out of your collection and for you to get coins. You can’t sell stuff nobody wants and you can’t sell in multiples. Nobody wants 27 Jerry stickers, I’d like to sell 26 of them back to this app and get rid of them forever.

Good

Quidds really good and a lot of fun some of the players can be toxic and mean but what app or game doesn’t have some of those people. It’s hard to get certain items yes, but that’s what makes it fun if you could get every set by buying with coins it would be pointless. Trading is a big focus and meant to be used if you can’t get the thing you want then you save up and once you have better stuff you try again, it’s this formula that keeps you coming back daily to see the new sets. There are many different fandoms to choose from and collect but chances are you’ll never end up collecting another channel either because you like that one as well or to trade for your main channel. There are awards which are for people who work hard and complete a certain set which is nice. They have collectors edition which is non rebound non reprinted items which make them more rare than other normal sets that will get reprinted. Overall this app is a good game with some really great people in it you just need to find them I have met so many great people who have helped with my collection and it felt great to see it grow but beware of toxic or mean players who will try to scam you or get mad over not accepting there offer. I would definitely recommend this app

It was better Before...

I remember when I first started this app and how Fun and Exuberant it seemed, from the creative Showcases of each user to the simple feeds of each channel, it wasn’t even all about the collecting more than it was the friendly encounters you could get by meeting through Trades, Comments, etc. If you were the hardcore collector focusing not on making friends, but rather getting to the point, it worked in that way too, allowing for a reasonable amount of coins every few hours, and the ability to Trade your goods for others.
Now, it seems, the fun has died, seeing as the removal of Showcases and then ultimately Shelfies marked the end of Creative posts altogether. Coins were pretty noticeably reduced, in exchange for intense “HEY! BUY US!” Coin Pop-Ups. But hey, let’s not forget about Selling! we now have the ability to dump all of our ill-gotten coins into a single, overpriced, low-odds set just to either get nothing, or get something not nearly as valuable as how much we put in to obtain said item.
These changes caused such an uproar, players literally tried finding ways of “fixing” their devices to not install any updates, period. It never worked, and those (including me) that miss the first this app were pushed out.
If you are a new player, see for yourself how restricted this game can feel, knowing all the opportunities in the past.
If you are a returning player, don’t even think about it, you’ll most likely be disappointed.

Last few updates ruined the app

If I could give it 0 stars then I would. Ever since Quidd had the update when shelfies first came out, Quidd started to really go downhill. Updates following that first update have just destroyed Quidd which WAS fun until everything was changed. Showcases should come back and replace the shelfies. Get rid of the pre-sale and also the actual money required to but things- this app coins for everything was perfect, I understand the coin packages that people can use real money to purchase but the rest is idiotic. The way people can only select items to trade in just that specific feed is unnecessary and adds nothing to the game. Same with the way as posting the things that people need. The free packs in each fandom is ridiculous since Quidd has had the updates- within a second the ‘free’ card(s), sticker(s), gif(s) and figure(s) are ‘sold out’ when it’s a free item supposedly. Everything has just been completely ruined in each update and the this app Surveys are pointless because nothing ever happens when people comment and take the survey. Also, Quidd lags terribly and freezes up and crashes, going to the trade part where people can start trades with other people is useless because it takes FOREVER to just load that part and the 12 hour expiration time is stupid because Quidd lags so badly. I’m almost to the point of deleting Quidd entirely and I only started in June. Pretty sad.

Money Hungry

When I first downloaded this app, it was fun and relaxing. I could collect free cards in the Star Trek collection like crazy and not break the bank spending in game coins on more. Now the free packs in any channel seem to be limited to ONE single card pack, and there’s a TON of options for using real money to complete sets/collections. No thanks.

One way they can make it slightly better is to make the shop within a channel sortable by type (stickers, figurines, cards) and by cost (low to high, coins vs real cash). If I could filter past things I DON’T want to buy easier, I might be more inclined to actually BUY the things I do want. As it is, I’ve only spent about 1k because I happened to catch a couple of sales that reminded me of “classic this app” pricing.

Overall, I am not happy with the new this app. They sold out to pop! & YouTubers, have found more ways to cheat people out of their money (or more likely their parents’ money, given what I’ve seen so far of newer users’ collections & profiles), and have made it difficult to enjoy what I actually LIKE about Quidd . Out of the plethora of fandoms they offer, it’s hard to see what MY fandoms are currently offering. Out of the plethora of users, it’s hard to catch up with MY FRIENDS and what they’re up to these days. I think I’ll call this version of this app “out of touch this app.” Because I’m so out of touch with what I enjoyed about Quidd and there’s no easy way for me to get “back to basics.”

Would rate higher if I could but...

The reason I only give 2 stars is because of me completely unable to get my account back. I have reset my password at least once, entered it and it said “Your account has been temporarily suspended after multiple failed login attempts. Please try again in a few minutes” So, this seems fine, but then you realize that like I said, I’ve reset my password and it just says the same this. It also happens the first time you try to login in months in my case. I usually would get over something like this by now, but I can’t because I spent many hours, and a decent amount of money on Quidd too. I have thousands of items, and I cannot use NOR even just see them because of how I can’t login. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried to talk to customer support, but they didn’t reply. It’s very irritating, my account has been inactive for like... a year now. And every once in awhile I try to login, but I cannot. I did enjoy this app, and even though there were some troubling aspects to it, I have no idea how they are now as well... you know. I also still enjoyed it with those aspects. I really wish I didn’t have to write this as a review, but I honestly don’t have too much of a choice if I want my account back, and this is my last option, essentially.

Thank you for reading.

Bad app and company, greedy developers

The devs clearly only care about money, constantly pushing their sales and begging you to buy coins. They ignore some sets completely and have given up on them. Quidd has countless bugs too they dont seem to care about at all, lots of crashing, things not loading properly or ever, taking too long to load, rankings not accurate whatsoever, etc. that and the overpriced pack prices as well as the fact of so many duplicates makes Quidd not fun at all. They used to not be so cheap but they have become extremely so and greedy and clearly only care about people buying coins. Sad how far downhill Quidd has gone. They also never brought back trading which was a huge selling point now you have to go with peoples ridiculous prices. Customer support is also horrible, will take days to respond and dont expect an actual helpful answer as well.

Edit: redownloaded Quidd about a full year later, rankings have STILL not been fixed. As a f2p it was tough to become #1 in one of my favorite sets, only to be knocked down countless spots because of glitches, tell me how im being outranked by people with lower editions and #112 when i have first edtion #1 as multiples and no higher than #6 on all others. Quidd is garbage and im so glad i never paid a cent to these garbage devs, only sad thing was the wasted time spent on this, will never come back bye👋

Great, but not that great.

Quidd had and still has quite a bit of potential. But there’s many reviews I’ve seen over a year plus and pertaining towards the apps “slow” loading. I’ve experienced this way too long. Going to another players profile can take literal minutes to load! I really don’t get why they go out and make these new updates but fail to update what’s been written in reviews about for a long time. Another thing is the shop, it needs to be redesigned. I’ll post something for sale and then go to the shop, well guess what? It’s already around 100+ items down the list! It’s so hard to sell or to find literally anything on there. And yes, there is a search, but like the profiles, searching usually takes a long time, or you search a topic and can’t find anything or can’t find something you’ve posted. Last thing that needs to be fixed is the keyboard. My keyboard for at least a year now, anytime I open it up on any other app and start scrolling through my stickers, it’ll freeze, glitch, then bring me to the very top. It’s impossible for me to make it to the bottom of my stickers. I still can’t understand how you all haven’t fixed that considering most people like Quidd to send stickers to friends. Fix those issues(not even necessarily the shop portion) and then Quidd will be at least 4 stars on my list.

Difficulty/cumbersome trying to use stickers

So I have a fair amount of stickers...however, in order to find the right sticker to use I can’t “search” a phrase or type I would like to use; I have to literally try to scroll down the page trying to look for the right one....problem is by the time I get to the second or third reload of stickers it resets and starts all over and I never get to go any further to view all the other ones I have. Also...when you try to buy a pack and it shows you what is supposed to be in the deck I’ve had it happen a number of times where I’m getting stickers that were never shown to have been on the deck at all. Also, one day I opened up my app and I had all these “Hound” stickers I positively never purchased but got charged for some how. Many times I have done the videos and/or done surveys and earned coins but they were never added to my bank as well....that was annoying. It would also be nice if we could just hit one button to re-list something we put up for sale instead of having to go through the entire deletion process and re-enlisting process all over again....it’s really cumbersome keeping everything all neat and clean because there are sooooo many steps involved each and every time....it’s really tedious!! Finally....the majority of the stickers, when sent, are tiny and do not adjust to fit the sent text appropriately!

Money hungry app. only giving this a high review so people see it.

This used to be my favorite app of all time, now? It’s only after your money. As someone who is not yet able to have a job, I typically have to wait for coins or get lucky with what I sell. Once listings were created, I was excited! Finally there was a way for me to make money quicker! Unfortunately, that also meant that this app had taken away trading, which there was no reason to take it away. Many listings I am not able to afford, so trading would be the way I would get an item i needed to complete a set. The way I discovered trading was gone was doing such this way, and I ended up making someone lose a card when we tried selling to each other. It also charges a ‘fee’ for selling items, and what this does is make some of the coins from Quidd . This causes a bigger need to buy coins with your own money. This is, once again, strengthened by the fact that trading has been taken away. It has also made some users leave Quidd after taking away displays. Over all, Quidd is just a money hungry business that does not listen to it’s users.

App Quality Heavily Decreased

I’ve had Quidd for over a year, and I was obsessed for months! I was always trading and getting ready for new releases, but over time there were so many changes that drained all of the fun from Quidd . To start, it’s very slow, even with fast wifi everything takes too long to load. This does not help with the fact they changed to layout to be heavily inconvenient, you cannot see every single fandom laid out unless you search for them individually. The fun of getting items is gone because everything can easily be bought. The entire app is about money now, not fun. I have purchased coins in the past, but the way things are now you almost HAVE to buy things in order to get it. My last problem is that the notifications are nonstop. I couldnt really care less about “shelfies”, I just want to earn stickers.

I have stopped using Quidd unless it is to check maybe once a month for new stickers. I know I am not the only one who feels this way as I have spoken to many others who feel this way. Despite my complaints, I do enjoy the stickers they occasionally put out, besides the lazily done funko stickers. Quidd has so much more potential that is being thrown out the window.

Quidd is ok

I been playing for a few months now. It's a great game and all but I still run into some problems. First of all in the trading the people set their own value on things. This makes it extremely difficult to get what you want. I have found people who are extremely rude although you give them what they asked for to get what you want. Another problem is that the only way to get things when the are sold out is to trade. I personally would prefer a store with set values on things so you can earn coins. Trading is fun too, but again it still has problems. I've ran into the problem when I give the link for my friends to download to gain coins, it doesn't give my the coins. The videos also cheated my coins to. I am extremely disappointed in that since I had a few of my sets that I wanted sell out while I couldn't buy anything. I don't like how you can have special privileges for buying coins from the store. I get that they need to make money and all but it's annoying for me because I can't spend money on coins because of reasons of my own. Overall it's a great app, but I have a few ideas for the game developers. I would like to share them with the developers so it would make it a better experience for everyone.

SUGGESTIONS

Okay so I don’t understand why they took away the trading feature because I thought it was fine but i’m okay with it.
⚠️PLEASE!!!⚠️
Allow us to DIRECTLY SELL AN ITEM TO AN INDIVIDUAL PERSON!!! inside messages. The whole point of messaging is to negotiate prices and so when you post the item, it’s up for grabs by the entire community and someone might snag the item that was meant for someone else. Also, many accounts go inactive, and some cards are just inside their collection and some people might really want them. If an account goes inactive for a certain amount of time, maybe their collection can be put up for grabs?? A set that has only 99 cards are VERY VERY rare. And an inactive account still has them so they just sit their untouched. I want the “ONE TRUE MORTY” set in Rick and Morty, but the set only has 99 cards. And some people who have those cards haven’t been active on this app in MONTHS! Please help the active community. Let us sell to people directly in messages so other people can’t steal items! I hope you see this. ALSO! Implement a faster way at selling items. Some stickers you just want to get rid of for 500 coins and it takes at least a minute just to put ONE up for sale. Another thing, let us show off our collection!!!!

Not What It Used To Be

I miss the old this app when you could buy packs for coins. I doubt that making everything cash only is beneficial but that’s the direction this app has decided to go and they also claim that they might be doing away with coins altogether. It’s fun to buy stuff with coins but I’m only using Quidd to make money. I’ve sold much of my collection from over the years and I’ve made close to $500 but if you’re just now joining, it’s impossible to amass that kind of collection without spending real money. On top of that, as of this writing, there are literally only a handful of licenses that this app still has. Marvel, Funko, Power Rangers, Crunchyroll, Adventure Time, DC, and Minions we’re all licenses that were active at one point and now they’re all gone. this app claims to be on the verge of big things, but it doesn’t feel like it. I have seen a steady decline in both my cash and coin listings which just tells me that people aren’t interested in this app anymore. Lastly, their support is awful. I’ve opened several tickets and tried to reach out over email and their Zendesk and they just ignore me and mark my tickets as resolved. It’s disgraceful. The only fun thing about this app now is buying collectibles from the aftermarket. this app is just a shadow of its former self.

Just another money pit.

After being in Quidd for over a year, I can honestly say I'm pretty much done with this app. The ONLY reason I'm still on it is because of the Game of Thrones channel. But like all other channels, they will eventually run out of ideas and ruin this channel as well at some point, with all their recolored pops and recycled images in “new" sets. If they can do that to a 30+ year old franchise like Star Trek, it will inevitably happen to GoT.
Overall, the content to collect gets expensive fast. Some of it is artsy, a lot of it is not. Hence the recolored pops and recycled images. Yes, it's great being a fan of some of the TV shows/ games each channel promotes, but it always gets to a point where you seriously have to ask yourself if all the spending is really worth it. Especially when the content stops being creative. Within the span of a year I’ve seen it happen to each channel, without fail. It doesn’t matter how much they “grow”.
So 2 stars for now, only because of the GoT channel. But the moment I stop collecting (again), it's going back to 1 star, and only because I can’t do zero stars.

needs some improvements...

I love this app, I recently was reminded of it and downloaded it a few days ago and started trading. But, I started having issues with it immediately when I got it, first, there’s a huge lagging issue. I’m not sure what the cause of this is, but everyone whom I ask that has this app says that they have the same problem. No matter what I’ve tried, it hasn’t stopped lagging. I can’t even trade someone without it taking more than 3 minutes due to this, and although 3 minutes doesn’t sound bad, 1 for 1 trades usually take under a minute. It’s super annoying sometimes, especially when you miss click on a button, have to wait for that button to load, then have to exit out of it, and wait even more. Secondly, this isn’t a major issue, but I would love to see showcases back! I don’t understand why they were removed. Lastly, this is more of a minor complaint than an issue, but why is everything now pay-to-receive? I remember when you could get whole sets for free; now some special or rare sets can cost up to $100! Really! $100 for something on a virtual app. No offense to anyone who does buy this kind of stuff, but it’s really a downside to people who don’t want to pay money, or to people who don’t have enough to spend. All in all, this app is a great app, or was a great app.

By

Well, it was fun while it lasted. I’m out.

The recent overhaul completely ruined an app I’d been enjoying since September 2016. I’ve already stated within it over and over all the many, many, many problems that should be fixed, things that should be brought back...but just today has been the final straw. One set’s listings crash it every single time you try to open them. EVERYTHING is now overpriced to the point of ludicrous insanity and impossibility. Trading is actually necessary. Buying and selling is still tedious and wasteful but doesn’t make collecting any easier or more fun. The way it is, it makes it more impossible. I will not be a pathetic sucker. I’m done. The (obviously very poor) odds need to be right there on the set page—what is this “log in to a website to view them” trash? Think I was born yesterday? How can I even know my password?!?! Sorting listings doesn’t work—it ranks by price but does NOT filter out the items you don’t need!!! And it leaves listings up that have already sold!!! Pray tell me, WHAT IS THE POINT OF THAT?!?! They should automatically delete after selling—from the “market” and from the seller’s now-hideous profile!! Coins should automatically go into accounts—you shouldn’t need to open Quidd to “claim” them!!! Utter nonsense. A great many of these digital/virtual items are delightful and have ‘emotional’ value, but they do not have monetary value.
