Doesn’t work

I would rate QRControl with a class action lawsuit if I could. GoAmateur, formerly known as GoPro won’t tell us why they stripped the pro tune feature from their app and then fed us this steaming pile! That’s right. They want us to control our $500 action cameras with freaking QR codes. We paid for our devices working as they were. This what I would expect from a banggood action camera the GUI looks like a middle school project. GoAmateur won’t even put their logo on it. What the heck is going on?

In response to the developers fallacious response. He is the senior software engineer at GoPro. The software is being sold under the brand GoPro labs, and publicly endorsed by GoPro. Fix the old app. Now.

I have owned gopros since the original. But GoPro turned my brand new Hero 9 into a paperweight when they removed the protune settings. I was forced to install the labs fw so at least I can use this 3rd party app to change my protune settings. I took the time to create several profiles in QRControl, then a few days later all my profiles were gone. Do you know how much time it took me to set all that up? I don’t remember all the settings I had. We’re my profiles deleted due to an app update? I have not taken the time to recreate the profiles so I haven’t used my GoPro in months. DO NOT BUY A GOPRO!!

My Hero 11 Black has the latest GoPro Labs firmware (Mar 2024). I want to shoot video in 4k 4:3 at 30 fps. To get this setting, the camera must be in Performance Mode. Video mode will not work.

QRControl does not have that setting and will not generate the applicable QR code. You have to use GoPros Lab website to get the correct code. I’m sure the developer can add it, at which point QRControl would get 5 stars from me.

I’m using an iPhone 11 Max, and QRControl doesn’t fully fit on the screen. Please make an iPhone version. :-)

For someone who is not skilled in settings you may want to include an instruction pages or info bubbles to reduce my phone calls helping others. PLZ!

Great app, still missing some toggles from web page, specifically lens selection in some modes, auto settings in some modes, "not set" doesn't always work, etc. Would love to talk more about this with the dev, one on one.

Just started using QRControl. Maximum shutter is fantastic. The features that I'd like to see are rearranging presets (I made some in the wrong order. OCD is bugging me). Also to create duplicate of the current preset to create minor changes rather than having one to have to tweak

Been using GoPro for years and only recently discovered QR labs. Labs + QRControl is a game changer for multicam shoots. my only issue is that i need to have some way to sync the configs I create across multiple iphones and ipads. is it possible?

At last someone thought of it and made an app please add the missing features thanks

I bricked my Hero 9 playing with QR codes. I downloaded this, and tried the !FRESET command. In spite of it being labeled for 10-12 use only, it worked like a charm.

I wasn't even aware of the GoPro QR code functionality until I stumbled across QRControl. A really great tool for creating QR codes for the GoPro, as well as just exploring the available options and settings. Thanks so very much for making QRControl available.

QRControl makes working with GoPro Labs so much quicker, easier, and more convenient seen as it works offline. There are plenty of great features, especially in the metadata section, that allow you to do much more with the camera. With that said, I would love to see an option to format the SD card with a QR code as I frequently find myself doing it manually. Thanks, and again great app!

QRControl makes it so easy to switch multiple settings on the fly in the field. Gives the user more access and insight into settings they need to modify without taking camera out of housing or changing angle on chest mounts to see/access screen. Excellent companion to the labs firmware. Great job.
