Bad app, awful service

With iFollow, I’m reminded of a football chant - “You don’t know what you’re doing… you don’t know what you’re doing!” If you pay for a service, you should be able to airplay games to your tv. Which was possible before, but not anymore. But what’s worse is the customer service. After my membership renewal did not automatically process at the original price ($178) due to an out-of-date credit card, the price went up ($225). Trying to discuss the details of this issue with the customer service team lead me to one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had - every email in the thread would go to a different person, none of whom understood the issue or cared to resolve it, and responses were constantly different and filled with excuses and/or confusion. Which has resulted in me boycotting iFollow. After years of watching my team as a fan living across seas, I will now only watch the games available on ESPN+. It’s unfortunate iFollow’s unorganized and unprofessional team chose to lose a returning customer, rather than resolve an issue, and all for an app that got worse and doesn’t work for fans as it could/should.

Buggy app, needs big fixes

I didn’t love having to move over to EFLiFollow rather than my club specific one, but as long as it works, who cares, right? Well, it doesn’t work well at all. EFLiFollow is very buggy, often making the rest of my iPad freeze up - for example, if I want to adjust the volume, for some reason toggling it up and down doesn’t work when I’m in EFLiFollow . That kind of lag is common, as are long loading times when EFLiFollow starts up and when videos are starting, or when you’re toggling between settings like different audio channels (it takes forever to register your taps). I like following my team and am glad I have a way to do so, but EFLiFollow is not well designed.

Why No Casting to a TV ?

The last two seasons we were able to cast to a TV from the iFollow app. Why has this ability now been cut off, particularly when fans cannot attend the games in person? It’s crazy that you have to watch it on a phone or tablet only, and poor value for money as a result.

Complete Crap

No casting ability to a TV. In 2020 an app being sold to a market who tend to not have any other option to watch the match, they intentionally lock down what you can do with the video stream. You cannot cast the stream to your tv. They offer no TV apps. They don’t tell you this. Just that you can stream your favorite team. And the radio? Glad you asked. Crap. They just latch on to a radio stream that completely and routinely drops the audio. You also can’t keep EFLiFollow open in the background and still get audio. It drops. Rubbish. They could easily make these changes. Easily. But they choose not to. Shame on iFollow and EFL for doing this to smaller clubs looking to generate revenue from supporters worldwide.

Lots of work needed considering it’s a replacement and not an alternative

The title says it all. I was forced to delete my team’s app that I’ve used for the last 3/4 seasons and HAD to download EFLiFollow. It is so buggy. If I want to listen to the audio commentary without video, I have to leave my phone open in EFLiFollow at all times. If I switch apps or lock my phone, EFLiFollow will refresh itself in the background and the audio will cut out. This was not the case on the old app and this MUST be resolved. PLEASE.
Also I think the structure of EFLiFollow could use some work but that could be a personal problem.

Works great

Not sure where the other reviews are coming from. This works pretty good for me. App is well designed and easy to use and navigate. Very intuitive.

Massive downgrade from last seasons app.

I don’t understand why you have changed EFLiFollow from one that works fine. To one that doesn’t really work at all.

For the amount of Money international EFL fans are paying for IFollow it would nice to have an app that doesn’t take minutes to load. And has radio commentary that doesn’t shut off every 2 minutes.

Please fix this, I love that this service exists so I can watch my team from abroad. But this new incarnation of EFLiFollow is terrible.

An update to slow down user experience

Apps do this, remove features and create a pay wall to get to these same features.

Awful user experience.

As an overseas iFollow season ticket holder, everytime I open it forces me to try and reinstall, I can no longer listen to games on audio in the background, any other notifications I get on my phone cut the audio, and it decides 10 minutes after full time to stop most weeks. And yet 12 months on, nothing has been done to fix it.

Fix this app!!!

Rubbish! I absolutely agree with all of the negative reviews! For the amount of money we are paying for access we should have an app that works with Airplay, doesn't take minutes to load up the commentary to go along with play and just basically work. I am not sure what was wrong with the previous app as it worked satisfactorily at least.

Another flop at launch.

Another change that doesn’t seem ready. No AppleTV support. AirPlay works...until it doesn’t: the image on phone says “connected to airplay” and stops playing the video. The image on the AppleTV is an exact replica! It stops showing the video and tells me connected to airplay.
Looks like EFL are making customers pay to have the privilege of doing their UAT for them.

Needs work

Like other subscribers experience. I’m an overseas Swindon supporter paid my money and not getting much for it. EFLiFollow is incredibly buggy. Fixtures don’t appear, no video for Carabo cup games (poor value) and generally very poorly thought out app. The old club I follow app wasn’t perfect, but at least it did the basics

Hopeless

As a US resident I have followed Luton T on I follow since it’s inception, casting onto my TV . On Saturday v Watford, I managed to cast, without commentary, for approx 2 Minutes , it was not possible to cast after that. Whatever has taken place since the Derby game, appears to be a disaster. Perhaps this problem will only relate to the Watford game? Any advice would be appreciated.

Horrible app

I had Zero problems using the iFollow feature in the Nottingham Forest app. They replaced it with this crap that doesn’t work and crashes constantly. My recommendation for anyone is to access the iFollow website on the Browser. It works with no problems.

By

New app

Says it will send me an e-mail but never does. My app worked great before this new supposedly upgrade. Very disappointed. What is being done to rectify this problem? Not much by the look of it.
Does anyone at I-follow really care? Nothing seems to be done to rectify this problem.

No way to set up an account.

Downloaded EFLiFollow and it only gives me the option to log in. I don't have an account yet, and it does not provide me the ability to set up an account. Deleted!

By

No subscriptions available

I have subscribed to Blackburn’s iFollow as an overseas subscriber since the start
Downloaded EFLiFollow and there’s v little on it .
When I try and subscribe it simply says No Licence Available with no explanation
Hope they get it sorted

IFollow is can’tFollow

My club app forces update to an app that does not allow you to log in, does not respond to forgot password or give option to create account. What are we following???

By

I follow multipleteams

EFLiFollow only allows one club . These apps were a main source of news. Difficult to follow Leyton Orient from overseas as is, this makes it ridiculous

By

Awful

Every time I log in I have to download EFLiFollow again because it says there is a new version

By

Stuck

Tells you to update. You do, then open up EFLiFollow and it tells you to update. Repeat.
