i’ve been trying to use BoschMeasureOn for the past six months,I think they stopped developing it as I haven’t seen any improvements. As the other reviews indicate BoschMeasureOn is so broken it’s not even funny, and completely unusable in my opinion. Is this an indication of how Bosch values their products and customers? I don’t know how this stays in BoschMeasureOn Store. Do we need a measuring device with Bluetooth when there’s no respectable app to go with it? I think the feature that bothers me the most is the inadequate ability to export your work. You can export each image individually, as long as that takes, but the arrows and text you draw in the image isn’t scaled with the size of the image or the zoom factor. What you end up with is an image where the arrows and text all cram together and overlap each other making all your measurements worthless because you can’t separate them out or read them In the picture. When you’re working with the image and taking measurements you can zoom the picture and the arrows and text scale with the picture so everything looks fine. It’s not until you go to export the image that you discover all the time you spent measuring was a complete waste. There are no options to export an entire project and no options to control the zoom level of the measurements in the image when you export it.

The biggest problem I see so far is the drawing tools. They work OK for large rooms but if you have any details like pop out in the wall that are only a few inches long it’s nearly impossible to zoom in far enough to enter the information. I should be able to zoom in to the scale I have set on the measuring laser ⅛ inch. Also drawing in new walls becomes a great hassle because it doesn’t always connect to the last node and you end up with a bunch of random unconnected walls on your drawing. These walls cannot be deleted until you enter information in them or hit the undo button multiple times deleting needs to be easier.I realize screen real estate doesn’t allow for a lot of tools but they should all be kept in the same pallet draw and measure are a good start but add edit with a selection tool to select existing nodes without drawing new ones and being able to delete them. Also having an undo button and a back button on the same screen is confusing. Change the back button to home or to done. You spent a lot of money creating BoschMeasureOn it just needs to be fine tuned with some customer feedback.

Regardless of operating system or device I sync my Bosch GLM 50 C to, the software does not work. Repeatedly measured a square room and it kept giving me an error, the walls were uneven. Display numbers were equal on all sides. Did not work. Manually entered numbers and it’s still saw the walls as unequal. Could not give wall space, floor space, volume etc. The ability to use the software it was the only reason I purchased the laser tool. Now will have to return. Tech support was awful as well, text response after 24 hours. I asked my question and never got an answer. They did thank me for using tech-support and considered the matter closed in minutes.

I don’t think BoschMeasureOn is optimized for smaller iPhones…I have the smallest iPhone available (iPhone SE) … and the initial terms and conditions approval doesn’t fit on the screen … thankfully I just barely able to scroll and accept the terms. If I was older and less technically inclined, I could imagine this might be a big problem, right out of the gate.

Additionally when viewing the full details of my room…the issue again arrives with the screen size. You can see the text is squeezed together and barely visible.

I haven’t used any of the other functionality of BoschMeasureOn , we’ll see when I get there.

Overall…it works, and the device itself is absolutely incredible.

4 out of five times measuring a square room it gets brackets and wants me to manually enter missing data making it useless. I suggested to support that they default angles to 90 or 45 degrees and they told me my problem is BoschMeasureOn doesn’t know what angle my square room is and I need to define my angle even though I don’t have one. All the CAD programs I have used on the past 30 years have Ortho mode ( default to 90 or 45 degrees ) but theses guys are going to reinvent stupid.

Measured out an entire cabinet job, only to have BoschMeasureOn refuse to open about a day after. Tried for days, but eventually had to delete and reinstall. All of BoschMeasureOn data (drawings) were gone, of course.
Even had problems with BoschMeasureOn constantly switching my measurements to metric, even before BoschMeasureOn stopped working. The first version was bad, but this is just terrible. I’d rather use my phone’s camera and markup for placing measurements on pictures. Magicplan is MUCH better for floorplans.

Really like the device and BoschMeasureOn so far.
BoschMeasureOn allows adding pictures and then lengths on top of it, multiple rooms, captures the length immediately from the device via bluetooth and much more - as a software engineer to the developers: so far so good, great work.

The Bosch MeasureOn Gen 1 app had a few issues, but at least it worked and I was able to export a report as a single document. This new app is a piece of junk. I can’t believe it was released to the public in this condition. I know the developers probably aren’t at fault. There is a likely a room full of suits who rushed this crap to the market despite its unfinished state. Bosch would do well to fix this quickly and make it at least as good as Gen 1.

Just bought the laser a few days ago and I could wait to try BoschMeasureOn out, just know it was going to make laying out a room so much easier and faster. Boy was I wrong! It’s great if you have a room with basically just 4 walls. It would be nice if you could lock wall to keep you from adjusting the wrong on, zoom in more, attach rooms like closets to the same drawing, etc. It really needs a lot of work!

Out of the box, I see potential. Where is documentation/how-to videos? I’d like to think I’m not missing something obvious like “create square room” for a given workspace - which I can (maybe?) adjust the dimensions on later. At the same time, I’m just an idiot contractor who doesn’t know what I want and need to be shown what I need.

I use to love the old Bosch measure and app, but this new version has issues. It is slow to react when drawing measure lines and it no longer has the ability to import to a file.

I just updated BoschMeasureOn yesterday and now it won’t open at all. crashes immediately

BoschMeasureOn doesn’t work. It’s not even worth writing a review because I’m wasting valuable time even as I speak. There is no way to sign in, there is nothing online to help you register, BoschMeasureOn doesn’t provide any way to register — at all! Why would Bosch post an app that doesn’t have provide any UI for allowing the user to actually use BoschMeasureOn ?

I’m glad there’s a company that makes great tools and free software that complements it. I’ve been looking for something like this.

It works great after update. I was having difficulties in order to at least open BoschMeasureOn .

You’ve got to be kidding me with these 20 page documents you force people to scroll through, knowing full well nobody is reading them. Good way to communicate that you have no respect for your customers. Makes me think twice about where my next tool purchase will come from.

Why why why did you remove the old app from the AppStore?

It make no sense a project cannot be shared. Only individual photos/plans can be shared. What’s the point?

So if I have multiple rooms or apartments in a project I need to export each one individually? Am I missing something here?

After years of a bad gen 1 app we finally get a new one. Hoping to out this to use soon and update with positive review. Making the $300 laser worth it...

BoschMeasureOn continues to crash while being at the most updated version in both iOS and BoschMeasureOn version. please advise

BoschMeasureOn isn’t even worth downloading yet. Not for production, support for BoschMeasureOn is not there. Don’t waste your money on the Bluetooth versions of the digital tape, I just returned a $200 unit I bought specifically to use with BoschMeasureOn and an iPad. For $200 I don’t expect to be your beta tester.

This took everything functional from the Gen1 app and...threw it away? This is stripped down, has less features, is less intuitive...what was even the point?

Worthless none of the functions make any sense. Very unproductive and not intuitive at all. Pen and paper is much better than this garbage app!!!

New build no longer works on 14.5 IOS.
