SmoothSwing is trash any one else saying other wise were paid to do so our are AI…didn’t even swing my club and there was a tracer drawn 5 seconds before swinging and when I did swing my club the line was no where accurate to the path of the ball

I paid for SmoothSwing and it still says distances locked, map is out of date. Waste of money

I’m done with SmoothSwing telling me it’s too hot to irk when my phone is functioning fine. Can’t seem to turn this function off so give me my money back.

Don’t get SmoothSwing they will just charge you money to do anything. Probably just an app to get your information

You start editing your first video and it won’t let you complete if you do not pay to upgrade to some “premium” version. What could be premium about a low quality app??

App is honestly not good you have to pay just to use the tracer and it’s doesn’t compare to other golf apps

SmoothSwing worked great the first time I used it. I decided to buy it and now the shot tracer isn’t working.

Recorded 5 videos and not a single one did the tracer work, very disappointed after paying for the PRO option.

I had high hopes that I would be able to use SmoothSwing on the golf course to track my ball. I can’t even get it to track on practice swings in the backyard less than 2% of the time. I am extremely hopeful that you will fix this, so that it will make it a more enjoyable app to use.

App just doesn't work plain and simple. It doesn't record anything except you swinging a golf club. You don't need an app for that. Just use the camera on your phone. App is a scam.

So far so good. It traces the shot pretty well, very cool.

Tried it out at the range. Worked ok for the irons but when I tee one up, it didn’t work. Tried moving around, different angles, and nothing worked. Not going to pay money for an app that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to.

It almost works but the more you use it the more you realize it doesn’t work very well. Tracer never stops at the right point. Downhill shots it stops too high. Uphill shots it stops way too low. Not impressed with the technology. The gps feature works ok at times but it gets confused and disoriented so you can’t rely on it because it will stop working when you want to use it and no matter how many times you close app and re start it will still be disoriented. Work out the kinks and this could be a decent app

The Good:
It looks cool when it actually works. Definitely a good training tool.

The Bad:
Does not pick up any balls that I hit over 130mph, which covers ALL my driver shots, and some 3 iron.

SmoothSwing stops you from using shot tracer when it thinks the phone is too hot. I live in Houston, and it’s been 100+ each day this summer. SmoothSwing shuts down usage after about 5 shot traces. I think they need to increase the threshold for these climates because the phone isn’t even hot when it shuts down.

This is one of the better shot tracer apps I’ve used. Sometimes it would not trace correctly or trace at all, even though I would have the ball and person lined up perfectly. Also, you can NOT upload from your camera roll and have it traced, which I think would take SmoothSwing to the next level.

Is it free for a “limited time” of use/number of videos taken before it locks and wants you to upgrade to the paid version ?

This is the best cell phone tracer app that I have seen or used in the past several years. It jacks our ball flight almost perfectly. However, every time you’re golfing in the summer, if you go to film a swing on the course, it comes up with a notification that says you are unable to film in hot temperatures. I have been trying to find a way to turn off this feature but have been unsuccessful. If anyone has a solve for this, please let me know! It is extremely frustrating to have paid the $10 and just because it’s hot in California in the summer. I am unable to film and get shot traces in the heat. If it wasn’t for that, I would give 5 stars.

This is a great app that works well however in this Arizona heat I can barely use it since it’s ALWAYS hot It will give a temperature warning and not let you record even when my iPhone camera still lets me record videos. A bypass would be nice

Love SmoothSwing. Works great. Only thing I would ask as update that the tracer work with the phone horizontally as well as it does currently vertically. Thanks and great job.

Really like SmoothSwing. Everyone who sees the swing path videos is super impressed. It misses a few swings here and the trajectory isn’t perfect but overall it’s quite close and gets a lot of them and it’s very fun and even helpful.

The map is really well thought out with the elevation and plays like built right in. But the only issue with maps is you need signal.

Some of the courses in upstate NY don’t have signal so the map won’t load and I can’t use it. That’s the only reason I gave 4 stars but wish I could give it 4.5 instead as it’s really only because I wish I could use it more.

Really fun addition to golf outings, wish it had landscape

This needs an option to import already recorded video to add tracer to. Most other apps allow that

Incredibly accurate tracer, super simple to use and picks up most shots! A lot of fun but also practical in helping assess your swing. Highly recommend....

I can’t believe how accurate and easy SmoothSwing is to use, and for free. Don’t waste your money on other shot tracing apps. Can’t speak to the paid stuff with SmoothSwing, but the free stuff is as simple as a children’s coloring book lol.

Traces shots pretty good as long as the shot path doesn’t cross your body.

I like how they do a 10 dollar fee for pro for just a one charge thing and not a subscription

I love how SmoothSwing allows me to quickly see distances to every location on the hole. I can see the distance to every corner of the green with ease. The other range finder apps I’ve used are significantly more expensive and don’t perform as well.

For the cost of a bucket of range balls, the subscription is definitely worth it.

Great app and so easy to use

SmoothSwing is amazingly accurate. I use it at the driving range to video my swing. I can see the result of the shot while I look at my swing technique. I have found this really helpful. It’s also a lot of fun to post on the family chat. I love SmoothSwing!!

Shot some shot tracer videos of my golf buddies and they were all blown away! It works very easily and just that feature alone would be worth the price, but I'm excited to try out the GPS features and club selector. Glad I stumbled across it.

SmoothSwing brings the game to a new level for any player as it tell you where and how far all the problems lie. Especially good when on an unfamiliar course, saves friendships by not asking directions and advice from opponents. Anyway, you’ll lose fewer balls, always a good saving (strokes and money).

SmoothSwing is amazing and truly one of the best shot tracers, plus it’s free!

It is so easy to use why would you not have it

My scoring app already tells me distance to the hole, but this was especially useful for holes with dog-legs, water, sand, or big trees. No more guessing. I have not tried the features you get with premium but they seem very useful too and the price is right.

I love SmoothSwing so much, I saw that it traced your shots originally and I thought “no way it’s accurate” but as I used it, I realized how accurate the tracer was. It follows the ball almost perfectly and is the best. And you know the best part… it’s totally free!! (Unless you want the premium)
