My privacy/all access is not for sale for $40

At first I thought this might be an interesting way to earn a little side cash. But it quickly became obvious that I would spend a minimum of half of the time the survey was purported to take to complete before I would get told I was not a candidate for the survey. This was no big deal on surveys with it at time of four minutes to complete but when you were talking about a survey that was 40 minutes and by the time I was told that I wasn’t viable they had received a whole lot of information for $.25. It came to a head tonight when I knowingly went in for a survey that was going to require a lot of access to my web browsing. When it came time to download the program they wanted me to use I started getting very worried. By the time I had provided them with access I went to several websites that I visit on a regular basis and was denied access to all of them based on the access I had provided this program. We are talking 4-5 sites out if 8 that I visited there , god’s sake! I deleted the software, canceled my account and deleted the program. Would highly advise you not bother.

E-Rewards is a definite scam!!

I’m pretty disappointed with these guys!! I had been saving my rewards and when I went to cash them in for an e-card I was told that my account was being reviewed but will be available in no more than 72 hours. Well..72 hours came and went so I wrote an email to support to see what the problem was. After 4 emails I still haven’t gotten a straight response at all..their response is more like an automated message!!! When one of these survey sites “flags” you ..then 9/10 of the others do too..regardless of if the “flagging “ is legitimate or not!!! Since they can’t seem to actually communicate with me and explain why my account is basically froze..I’ve submitted my situation with the BBB and now they’re helping me with it!! E-Rewards does nothing but use you for their advantage and then dispose of you if your rewards are too high in monetary value… their absolutely disgusting!!!

I was happy to get an email that e-rewards finally released an app. But this needs to go back to the drawing board. As other reviewers have indicated, the screen doesn’t rotate to horizontal. Also, I find that it will freeze on me in the middle of a survey. There’s no way to refresh so I wind up having to close out. This happens at least once a day, and always during a higher value survey. Really annoying because I’ve invested the time and don’t get the reward. eRewards needs some serious work.

Seems like a scam

I have done several surveys over a month period and when I went to claim rewards it would not let me. When I emailed to find out why I was told it was because they detected multiple accounts and that my account has been suspended cause of it. I only have one account on two different devices (my iPhone and my laptop), some surveys required the use of a laptop. Just feels like I got scammed to do a lot of surveys and not be able to claim any rewards. A total waste of time!!!

2023 Devalue of surveys is the final straw

I’ve been doing e-rewards surveys for years. I’ve probably been kicked out of about 80% of the surveys, but only after spending a substantial amount of time. But I kept earning travel miles so I put up with it. This year, they’ve lowered the lousy $.25 after being declined to $.20. Today, some denials said the compensation was $.00. Nothing. Really? They’ve also lowered how much surveys are worth for the estimated time. It’s just not worth it. I don’t think it ever was, but now less than ever.

Waste of time

Everything worked ok with few glitches until I tried redeeming my rewards for a gift card. Then suddenly there were security issues with my account and I was blocked from taking more surveys or redeeming my rewards. Quite honestly not worth the effort and don’t waste your time. They emailed me and told me my account was suspended for having more than one account, which I did not have. There were no issues until I tried redeeming for rewards then I was flagged for being fraudulent. What a joke.

Payment methods are a scam

eRewards tricks you into thinking you’re making more money than you are - it will tell you a survey is worth $6 without disclosing that that $6 is only actually worth $2 when you go to redeem. If they “paid” you in points or something it would be less frustrating. I was so upset when I thought I had earned $75 only to go to redeem it and find out that my $75 was only worth $25. I’ve deleted eRewards and am done with it now. If they had just been up front about the true payment I wouldn’t have felt so scammed.

Waste of your time

If you want to waste your time, never qualify for a survey & at the same time give out all of your personal information for free(no matter how they say you will earn money for “pre-qualifying” for said surveys…then this eRewards /company for you. They lure you in by saying they will pay you for taking surveys. That’s if you actually qualify for a survey. Tom”qualify” for a survey, you have to answer a lot of qualifying questions, which can take up to 10 minutes to answer, only to be told they’ve met there quota for participants or that you don’t qualify…but wait, they just for an amazing amount of information on you. Waste of time.

This app is a scam and the customer service is atrocious

I spent a lot of my time on eRewards to try to earn rewards. I got one e gift card and it was fine. I wanted to redeem from a store that only had a physical gift card option. It took months to arrive and I waited about 6-8 weeks of keeping it to save it to use around my birthday. Went to use it at the store and they said their reader wouldn’t pick it up. Went to use it online and it says it’s from 2016 and can’t be redeemed online. It’s basically useless and when I contacted customer service about it, I was told it was my fault and my responsibility was to have checked it and used it immediately. No explanation for why it’s from 2016 or how that’s my fault.

SCAM!

I just got an invitation from Macy’s to join the E-rewards so I did join. I took few recommended reviews, each supposed to be worth 4-6 points, and on the end of each survey I got only 0.02 point!!! What a scam and wasting time! Then I got an email about another survey so I finished it just to get a massage from them that they got already enough surveys and I’m not getting any points (should be 4!). Seriously, DON’T waist your time! If they had ZERO stars I’d give them ZERO! And a little update on my review, I’m going to report them to BBB for scamming people. Shame on Apple for even letting the “app” to be available! One more update, I’m calling Macy’s to tell them that they lost long time costumer and that they have to remove all my information from their files!

DO NOT TAKE THESE SURVEYS!!

This is a complete scam. If I could give negative stars I would. I wish I would have read the other reviews before participating. eRewards is glitchy and doesn’t work correctly to begin with, and it has been weeks since there are any available surveys for me to take. But what’s worse is they are not paying out any of their rewards. I got an error message when trying to redeem my rewards and contacted them regarding the error. I received an email back stating my account was indefinitely suspended due to “accuracy and attentiveness of my account activity”. When I wrote back that I just wanted the reward I was owed for taking the surveys the response again was they have no choice but to permanently suspend me. THIS COMPANY IS STEALING YOUR TIME AND INFORMATION

Don’t waste your time

After doing surveys for two weeks I tried to redeem rewards and there was a glitch, then nothing would work. When I emailed them about it their response was that my account was suspended because it had been flagged as fraudulent. Funny how my account was fine until I tried to redeem rewards. Also they couldn’t give me any reason why my account was suspended, what was flagged as fraudulent. Just another scam survey site.

Misleading Reward Values

App tells you how much each completed survey credit your account in dollars. The only way to monetize the reward is to transform to a Gift Card. There are plenty of choices among retailers for most people to be satisfied The disappointing surprise comes when you find out that the the reward dollars are only worth about 33 cents to the dollar. It’s intentionally misleading.

Surveys are buggy and don’t always give the rewards for completion

I cashed out successfully for my first gift card, but a lot of surveys kick you out when you’re almost done saying you don’t qualify. Then there are some that once you completed it it just sits frozen on the screen saying your done without ever giving you credit.
Once I emailed support about this issue and only received half the reward for a 40 min survey.
It’s a good premise if you would actually get rewarded for the time you spend

Skip app, Stick with browser

Been using e-rewards for years and was glad they finally have an app…but it is almost better to just keep using a browser. I have to delete and redownload eRewards several times a month to get it to work properly, and there is one survey format (teal button one) that works allll the way to the last page and NEVER lets me submit and get my points. I have wasted literal hours because of it. Reached out to e-rewards and was compensated a small amount but it keeps happening. So every time there’s a teal button survey I just quit at the start to save myself the frustration. Other than that, rewards redemption works well. But I recommend skipping eRewards and sticking with the browser.

Disappointed

I haven’t logged into this in a while. I tried and it’s not accepting my password. I hit the reset password button and check my email and there’s nothing. I check my spam folder and nothing. I have deleted app and reinstalled it and still no luck. I have gone on line to try and log it, it recognizes my email but not my password. I go to reset password and I am going through the same thing as I do with trying to log in through app.

Was Good At One Time

The only reason I am giving this 3 stars is because the customer service has been really good so far. However I do not like the recent changes that they have made they went from $.25 down to $.20 for surveys if you not qualify. Note this is the worst, they are now reducing it to zero cents and then the survey choices they are offering are also zero dollars. Nobody wants to do the surveys for free. What would be the point of that? I went through seven surveys and only got a total of $.60 on one day and made $7.00 on another day. It is a hit and miss. * Note: this is mock money meaning that ‘$75’ is equivalent to a $25 gift card not a $75 one.

How reward work needs to be disclosed on ads

Not sure if it’s disclosed or not, but I think it should be noted the rewards can only be redeemed every 30 days. I wasn’t aware of this until I tried redeeming an award again to purchase something. I wasn’t able to make my purchase because I wasn’t allowed to redeem my reward until 30 days pass. That’s inconvenient for people looking to pitch things and finding out we can’t make purchases with these rewards, then finding out we can only use them every 30 days. That’s also unfair when we sit and take the time out of our day to complete these surveys and can’t get the same reward as last time.

Needs some work

I am glad they have finally come out with an app. However, there are some improvements that need to be made. Any survery that requires you to take it horizontally you can not complete, sometimes after completing a survey you don’t receive credit because it takes you back to the login page.

Update from 1 star

I recently left a one star review but have since been contacted back by customer service and have had my issues resolved (access to account and rewards). It took some time but now my account is fully functioning with no problems so I am changing my review status.4 stars not 5 only due to the amount of time it took to receive online assistance via email. Same problem I experienced with quickthoughts but issues are resolved on both apps.

My experience is nothing new (others have writtn about it here already). I have been a member (Canada) for about 8 years. Recently they just stopped sending me the offers. When I asked - the answer was: "Your account has been stopped by our system due to account violations and the ultimate decision to permanently suspend your account has been made by our Accounts Department. Right now, we are not able to provide specific details in relation to a case as it may compromise our internal security system processes." I am positive I had not comitted any "violations" and they, of course would not explain! On top of it I am now not able to use my collected before e-rewards points (more than 70!)...

E-Rewards now requires identification verification by another company called Veriff, and I have tried for a week to submit my documents and always get an Upload Failed message. I've contacted E-Rewards multiple times but only get automated messages by email or references to Frequently Asked Questions, which is no help at all. There is no way to contact a human, so my rewards points will never get redeemed.
