I’m using an XR iPhone. I took it to Golden 1 for the customer service lady to help me and she couldn’t fix it. I have uninstalled Golden1CardControls and downloaded it back on my phone and it still doesn’t work. Its not signing in. It ask for my debit card number which I added to Golden1CardControls and each time it tells me that “the registration process has been disconnected. I’ve called the phone number that came up on my screen, and the customer service person didn’t know how to fix it. So my last solution is to take my money out of Golden 1 and go to another bank and open a new account. I hate to leave you all with all the many years I’ve been your customer. None of my other banking apps give me any problems like this one do.

Golden 1 already doesn’t like being a bank sometimes so the fact my login details don’t even work in Golden1CardControls is infuriating. Same details work everywhere else but Golden1CardControls doesn’t even function.

Can’t register my credit card. Golden1CardControls at first took so long to send a security token by email that it was expired by the time it arrived. Now it says the registration process is disabled and to call an 888 number who have no idea what I’m talking about when I ask for support. Completely useless app.

Every time I go to add my debit card, there is an error message and it won’t let me continue. What is the point of Golden1CardControls if it does not even work? And I am not going to call the support number to speak with a phone tree or a robot that can’t fix Golden1CardControls . Please fix this!

I never had any issues with Golden1CardControls before they did the huge overhaul. Now everything seems to be fine except one huge issue: I haven’t been able to mobile deposit a check - any check - since the update. Now I have to go to my branch every time I have a check to deposit, which is twice a month. I keep getting a “we are unable to recognize an endorsement” message every single time, and no matter what I do, I can’t get it to see that I have, in fact, correctly endorsed my check. Someone needs to fix this bug, especially as many people are having to quarantine and yet still need to be able to deposit money into their accounts.

The mobile application automatically locked my card without my input. My card remained locked although the application said it was not locked. Golden 1 could not unlock my card stating that it was locked on the application. Deleting the application and rebooting it did not resolve problem. A complete mess. The only solution - Golden 1 needs to send me a new card.

Have been anticipating this new electric bike that i want, Set my spend limit to 3,000$. The bikes total price is 2,669$ and my card is declined every time due to “transaction exceeds daily limit. Tried upping the limit to 4,000$ and once again the same exact thing “exceeds daily limit”. i have enough money in my account so i don’t know what the problem is.

The absolute worst apps ever. I’ve used Golden1CardControls many times, and now out of no where I can’t get past the “Please enter your card number to see if it’s eligible with Golden1CardControls ” (which it is and has already been used with Golden1CardControls multiple times) and once I input it, it just tells me it’s eligible and that’s it. I can’t log in to see if my card is even unlocked. Fix your app Golden 1. I don’t even live in California anymore but you guys still burden me with your terrible applications.

Every time I try to add a card or a trip plan to Golden1CardControls I end up having to call the support line, half of those calls route me to a silent hold… I’ve given up on using this and just call the main line for travel alerts now. It would be great if it worked but as of this morning I’ve tried using Golden1CardControls 4 times in the past year and it hasn’t worked correctly once. It’s a shame because Golden1 typically has great customer service.

Golden1CardControls is a train wreck. Recent update locked me out of my account. It wanted me to enter my debit card number when logging in for the 1st time. Totally stupid!! And there was no “skip” to tap so basically I was locked out. I had to use browser to get back into my account. I realize G1 is a credit Union and CU’s generally have poor apps but this one really needs to come a long way before it can be anything better that a stupid wrapper for a bare bones browser version. C’mon G1!!

I was wondering what the ratings would be for Golden1CardControls... no surprise...
Months (probably year/s) ago i added my ATM card but never managed to add visa credit card. Tried again: failed and message to call support... called, waited🤨>useless and had to be transferred> waited 44min > incompetence again and asked to call main nimber with 26 min wait. I give up what a piece of crap... check the reviews: all the developper does is appologize and say sorry... not once “problem solved” this is the direction G1 is going: down down down

We have used Golden 1 for decades. Until the “updated” app, was able to activate all alerts as well as receive all other info using ONE app to perform most financial functions. This most recent Golden 1 app “upgrade” detracted from online performance rather than making any improvement. In comparing current this current Golden 1 app to 5 other financial instructions online access and user friendly apps, Golden 1 places a distant last. Golden 1 revision of their app was “NOT READY FOR RELEASE”! Requiring 3 apps to perform tasks previously provided by one is not an improvement.

I enter my password exactly as I do on their app/website yet it says incorrect. After trying it a few times you then get locked out of your account due to the security protocols. Literally can’t even log in with the credentials I know are correct... garbage app

Right now I’m hating the regular banking app due to all its inconsistencies.

Now I hate this one too!
I went to enter my card info, and it said it was incorrect! My address, or something. So I checked it all twice, then it locked ME out of controlling MY CARD, for 30 minutes. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Face ID and insta balance features are basically useless with the frequent need to put in passwords. I was just logged out mid transaction. Your team has to get this fixed. Your recent email apologizing for the issues is worthless without action.

While the aesthetics of the update looks fresh and clean, the functionality of it missed the mark. The Face ID continues to not work no matter how many times I set it. I constantly have to login with my entire login and password. Too time consuming. And it took away my already established credit monitoring. These bugs need to be addressed.

I got Golden1CardControls specifically so that I got a notification every time my credit card was used and would be able to lock it if it was ever stolen. But for some reason even though Notifications are allowed and I have Golden1CardControls to notify EVERY time my credit card is used it still won’t. It’s the main reason I wanted Golden1CardControls and it’s not doing one of its main jobs which is really frustrating.

I’ve had Golden1CardControls now for a month and have yet to actually use it. It is impossible for me to log in. I’ve changed my password multiple times and yet it still won’t recognize it. The other app works, why can’t this one?

I was able to log in through the Golden 1 Mobile App, and it’s nice to be able to lock my cards instantly. So, once you get into the system, Golden1CardControls works really well. Better to do it through the other mobile app.

User friendly !!! I mean of course it would be great to have everything in one app BUT I’m sure we will get to that point someday !!!! I am patiently waiting

It is a little confusing signing in and setting it up but it’s definitely worth it. It tells me instantly when anything has been charged to any of my cards. When you go to sign it, it’ll refer you to your main golden one app, from there you need to go to More and then Manage Your Cards. Hope this helps against the bad reviews from ppl that can’t figure it out!

There are no lock icons on Golden1CardControls to even lock my card! Neither is there an option to register like the flyer from the bank has. I can’t even put my card number in as there is an error message that states my registration process has been disabled!! So frustrating! I called Golden 1 three times and no one knew what they were doing or even understood Golden1CardControls. So I went into the bank to show in person what was going on with Golden1CardControls. The lady there gave me th flyer we both went through steps to add my card with this new app. I still was unable to move to the nest step in registering. She calls tech support the person named Trevor said that numbers beginning with 4494 will not work for Golden1CardControls! Ridiculous! All golden 1 cards began with that number! Although I told her when you changed the last 4 or even 1 number you are able to proceed to the next step..
I want to be able to lock or suspend my card again rather than wait until the bank opens to protect myself should something happened. *** GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL APP PLEASE!!!!

I downloaded Golden1CardControls just to write this review. Not something I normally do… Nevertheless, I feel it is important since I would like these features that are not working well. 2.7 stars proves this! First of all, Golden1CardControls needs to be integrated with the main golden one mobile app that does work well. They should take this one off-line until they can get the glitches out and integrate it with the original G1 mobile app. You’re the number one credit union use your resources to get the number one developers to build a proper functionality into your One original app and make it work well!

I don’t understand why they have 2 separate apps. I have one app for the bank and then another app to control the bank card. Why don’t y’all just put it all in one app? Makes it so complicated just to sign in. And on top of that, you gotta go on the actual website to access more control because both apps don’t have it where you can access from Golden1CardControls itself. Ridiculous! 👎🏻

I am thoroughly disappointed with this application. Ever since the card alerts app got updated I guess that you guys tried to make Golden1CardControls. The other app was working fine until you guys updated it. I can’t even login with my regular login. Delete Golden1CardControls there is no use. No functionality

FRUSTRATING!!! Still unable to log in to neither Card Valet nor Golden 1 Debit Card apps as they are unable to store my card information after trying for the passed couple weeks... Seriously, when’s the fix coming?

Each rep at different number say different thing. Don’t solve a problem. Maybe go with other credit union. Should have 1 app that dies everything. Not 3 diff app on the store that cause confusion. Come on G1, you are are largest CU and can’t get this simplify??

Why are there three different apps for my Golden1 account? I’d prefer it all to be in one location instead of separate apps for banking accounts, credit cards, and debit cards.
