Forecast: Predict the Future Reviews

The only way to use Forecast is to give your Facebook credentials. If you don’t them or are uncomfortable giving them that information, you currently don’t have a way to use Forecast . It seems that other ways of signing up or in the works, but for the time being, Forecast is worthless without Facebook.

Chose some questions i was interested in, then didnt like the tags it put me in so tried to change that but couldnt find the option. So i tried to delete my account to try again but it said account deleted when i tried to make a new account as facebook is the only option. Please fix this.

Polls close before they’re supposed to, polls can be based/decided by incorrect data that’s contrary to accepted fact (covid death count vs CDC inaccuracy). Some days you’re awarded the daily 1000pts and some days it says you were but they’re not added.
And, like all things run by FB you never get a reply or resolution when you report problems. Addictive but the problems will leave you frustrated.

While I am sure this is a huge analytics data gathering tool, it is fun to vote for outcomes of popular events. Forecast itself is well designed. However, the backend serving Forecast is TERRIBLY SLOW. The responses timeout half the time, making it unbearable to participate in more than one or two predictions. They really need to focus on improving the backend service performance (it’s 2021 for crying out loud).

App idea is unique and addicting, but I found that if you delete your this app account, that Facebook account is unable to be used to make a new this app account. They are tied together. Either implement an account recovery method or simply implement a new sign up method please :)

Cool idea. Too bad it's so buggy. Non-functional "skip" control. Adding a justification is non-functional, with no way out except to kill the process.

Keeps crashing, have had a lot of fun but every time I open Forecast it crashes. Hope you patch it soon!

On other apps where your identity is anonymous, you tend to get a lot of trolls and low quality comments. Even on Facebook you can get any one (qualified or not) expressing any odd opinion about anything so it’s hard to gauge what’s right and wrong. In this app, your predictions and results are tied to your profile which is tied to your Facebook account, it brings a level of accountability for your bets and comments.

People have an incentive to be right because it shows on their track record of how many times they were right or wrong. Overall I love the design of Forecast as well. Very intuitive and easy to use.

I love the concept, and I was going to build something similar myself until I saw this app. It looks and works great, except that some things just take forever to load, particularly following/followers which times out after like 10 seconds. Otherwise I really am really enjoying it.
