TLDR: Bank account and card it comes with doesn’t work with outside payment apps and only allows 2 monthly money transfers.
I Tried to connect it to my Cashapp, bank account, Venmo and even PayPal and it doesn’t connect to any of these services because they see the Toast card that the account comes with as a “Prepaid card.” It’s very unfortunate because the app advertises that you can access your tips and pay early but in order to do that you need to have direct deposit on for the Toast card. However if you do have direct deposit to the card you won’t be able to add your card to any official outside money services like Apple Pay or google pay and if you want to move money out of your account it’ll take you 2-3 business days every time and you can only do it twice a month. Also you need to use their desktop website in order to change your direct deposit to anything else (which I highly recommend doing if this is your only way of getting paid.) THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO DO THIS besides maybe calling the company yourself. The only use this app has is allowing you to see how much money you’ve made daily and that’s about it. If you are a company I recommend using a more convenient payment app for your employees. NOT this one.

If I could give 0 starts I would! Toast Pay Card is one of the most horrible things to happen to my work place, Toast customer service is just as bad. I never have ever written a review but I am getting on here to write one because I am tired of the trouble it has not only been giving me but my coworkers. To start of, there are random fees added to your purchases at random times (I paid $33 at Cracker Barrel and was charged $43 on the card, it allowed E-PASS to process $60 worth of charges and then took MONTHS to give me my money back and the process was terrible). Customer service has no idea what they are doing, their “developers” are just as bad. Have had to describe what is my problem and why it’s not working several times only to be transferred from department to department because no one knows what the heck they are doing. I absolutely hate the toast pay card service and would not recommend My Toast to anyone I know, not even my worst enemy.

I’ve had ongoing issues with the ToastTab app for as long as I’ve used it, and it’s been incredibly frustrating. The app is missing basic features like the ability to update your password, phone number, or manage options for the ToastCard. One of the most irritating problems is that I can’t transfer anything from my ToastCard. Every time I try, it gives me an error saying to ‘try again,’ and no matter how many times I do, it never works. Logging in online is an even bigger headache. For some reason, I have to reset my password every single time I try to log in, which is both time-consuming and completely unnecessary. These issues make the app feel half-finished, as if it’s not designed with the user in mind. For something so widely used, it’s shocking that basic functionality and usability have been overlooked. I’ve been hoping for improvements, but so far, nothing has changed.
