Uptime: Get smarter, stand out Reviews

I’m a lifetime learner and have wanted something like this but every other alternative I’ve found costs a great deal over time. This one is free and amazing! I love being able to get the best meat of books and courses and then be able to easily find them if I want to deep dive and read or take the courses myself. I love being able to get the bite sized information in my free time in so many ways. I can read, listen, or watch a slide show and it’s truly incredible! I can’t say enough good things about Uptime!

The idea and execution is truly here.

Small notes: I basically immediately felt like I was in “Snapchat for knowledge” which is great because they use their news feature in the exact same way however for pop culture news references.

Snap doesn’t always show the bar at the top of a content feed so seeing the bar, I noticed, began making me anxious to feel that I needed to read at a certain pace.

Maybe have a feature where you can hide the time bars at the top would help?

I also JUST downloaded Uptime so that could already exist but I haven’t been able to look further.

Lastly.. I noticed the, get other examples, portions tends to just be the same information repeated. I understand the need to re use content in order to not have too much in the pipeline for content creation but maybe writing a different piece of content there will stand out or rewriting the same idea in a different way will work better?

Most people may not notice? But it could be annoying for people like myself.

Otherwise this really can be something great!

The concept of short “life hack” trainings to increase our awareness of new concepts is a good one.
The weakness in Uptime is that it only allows for a progressive mindset. While many of the existing subjects are good ones, they lack a positive perspective on subjects such as: Positive aspects world religions (such Christianity and Islam). The service provided by capitalism and serving others to serve ourselves.
In short, Uptime limits learning to progressive ideas and thoughts. This is unfortunate, but could be corrected quite easily, if the authors of Uptime chose to do so.

Also, the addition of technology (how does AI work) and psychology lessons ( why am I like I am) would greatly add to the value of Uptime.

I originally downloaded Uptime to see if I wanted to buy Michelle Obama’s new book and wanted to read a good summary. I loved the summary and just kept reading more and more book summaries because it was so easy and interesting. I ended up buying the book plus two others - so be warned if you like books you will keep wanting to read the next hack suggestion as it is hard to put down!

I absolutely love Uptime and how fast and easy it is to digest the hacks on books, however I wish it had some added organizational features for the saved hacks. Uptime would be perfect if there was a way to sort saved hacks by read vs unread, category (customizable sections to add certain hacks based on personal preference) and genre. It would also be really convenient if there was a way to take notes or add highlights to each hack within Uptime in addition to a bookmark feature.

I couldn’t believe it when I found this. I was absolutely thrilled; after several Hallelujahs for an...actual...real-life...apple miracle ...big foot exists moment....Free App that’s Ad Free providing quick digestible tidbits for the curious mind. A smorgasbord of knowledge for learning and discovery for new skills, current events, trivial pursuit, and learning just for the sake of learning.

And as I eagerly open this holy of holies; the Developers want my name and PHONE NUMBER. After plying such lavish praise on yourselves for being so generous in investing millions and moving mountains to gift us with your app....

You seem to have not watched Uptime Devs Masterclass 101: Rule Number 1: Don’t ask the consumer FOR THEIR PHONE NUMBER.

I wrote a review last month about how much I loved Uptime and how excited I was about the fact that it was free. Well, they have decided to starting charging a membership fee (there will still be a free version though) and...

I love to read and have many books. Problem is I pick them up to read and rarely finish and then so much time passes that I would need to start over so I don’t go back. Uptime solves that issue. Thanks for the trial. I’m definitely buying. Awesome app and thanks to the readers who summarize and highlight the key parts

Uptime took me by surprise considering how new it is. The feature to share onto Instagram stories is genius and I know I will be using it a lot. You can retain so much knowledge by using this tool for 5 minutes. I know it will keep me from starting a book and not finishing because I lose interest.

I love the idea. Books tend to be wordy on topics of business and productivity, so I appreciate a brief summary with action steps to try.

I’ve listened to a few summaries and each starts with an intro and ends with a recap. This basically repeats the main portion of the summary, so it’s like listening to the same information 3 times. I’d rather prefer more content (maybe 5 or 10 takeaways instead of 3) versus hearing the same info multiple times in a five minute summary.

I really enjoy Uptime. It is full of insightful content from many topical books/documentaries that I’ve been wanting to review yet never found the time for. Everything is well summarized yet still informative, and easy to consume for any learner.

Uptime is helpful beyond description for busy people. It provides wonderful audio and print summaries of books of all kinds. I’d love to see some of the books of W. Edwards Deming summarized here as systems thinking and lean management are principal business topics. Great app and highly recommended.

The free services that Uptime is able to do is pretty crazy! I mostly use it to recap books I’ve read in the past, but I’ve sat through a few books that’ve been on my TBR list, and really enjoyed it. Thank you this app! ❤️

I rarely subscribe to any app unless I find it to be useful and worth my hard earned money. Uptime is ones of those. I learned a lot by reading/listening to so many books in my spare time. Also, the convenience of the UX design is top-notch.

The robotic female voice is easy to understand but sounds rather unemotional and disinterested. That doesn’t quite draw you into the information. Without emotion or inflection there is no emphasis on key topics. Therefore each story sounds like a monotone monologue which I find an ineffective way of delivering content. The information then offers less impact and is less easier to remember.

Fun informative app that filters out the noise in our info overload world. Impressive group of initial content creators and slick UI element to highlight specific points within a video. Looking forward to following along as they build!

Been neglecting your reading because nothing seemed too interesting. A hack or two a day will have you adding shelves to you library and interesting additions to your conversations.

Spiffy little app. Like Cliff Notes for the Twitter generations. Which I guess is kinda cracking on myself a bit cause I love it. Brief, interesting and gives me far more insight into wether I want to purchase the book or not than a review or cover jacket could.

Love the idea of this. I was really excited, but there is nothing about God except for less than a handful of things. The religion & spirituality tab has anything but Christian it seems. No, this is not a slam against Uptime or anything against other beliefs to those who are reading. If there were more options and a broader selection, you would have my money.

I was once a podcast addict, but the update of Uptime is super engaging. I love how informed I am after a few minutes and the suggestions are spot on. It’s a great way to decide what subjects you want to dive deeper into. Great job!

I get so much knowledge in so little time and it’s free for books I would usually have to pay for and I get to save stuff I really want to remember. My mind is blown away by Uptime.

I love the layout and all of the content on this app. I feel like in one evening I’ve read 10 books and caught up on a ton of other stuff I’ve been meaning to get into.

I was hesitant to try Uptime but I’m glad I did. Very exciting to develop myself with the best new and classic books of the ages. Learning and beyond.
