Story - Social Media Ad Editor Reviews

I love the templates but I can’t even edit them. My gallery doesn’t load, and when it does load it isn’t in the same order as my gallery appears on my phone. So for example, I just downloaded an edited photo from the VSCO app and when I open my gallery on the this app App the picture doesn’t appear as the first photo in my gallery. I’m sure if I took the time to scroll through the gallery I could find the photo but I have over 16,000 photos so that would just ruin my day. It also doesn’t give you the option to search your albums you have saved in your phones photo gallery to further help that situation to work smoother. Currently my gallery isn’t even loading when opening Story so I can’t even use it. I’m connected to WiFi and have good connection so it’s not an iCloud downloading my photos issue because I’m able to use my photo gallery with other apps.

Looks like a great premise, I know Story is new so I’m sure there will be tweaks. A few things I wish would be added, the ability to save hexadecimal color codes from one edit segment to transfer to another. Save colors most recently used to a reference palette. Right now if I want to use the same color in two different modules I just have to guess and hope they are close. Would also love the ability to change font size. Not sure if I am missing that option but I can’t find it anywhere. Also I noticed a few of the templates were kind of glitchy. Overall I like it and I think if improvements are made and it will be a great this app/video app for social media.

Everything is perfect,, the only one bad thing, is make very short time videos for stories

I like Story but I haven't used it in a couple of weeks. I don't remember there being a free trial for Story. I don't remember there being a subscription fee either. I would much rather spend a one time fee to purchase the whole app instead of charging me weekly. It was nice while it lasted. The templates are great, just not sure when the switch happened. I went from being able to use the templates only to now find out it was a free trial. I honestly don't remember Story having in-app purchases.

It’s bad enough that apps are charging monthly fees to use any cool features. But When an app advertises as not having any fees and then waits for you to start a project, then find out you can’t do anything unless you pay. Including leave the upgrade page. It’s shady and deliberately advertising miss information and inferring false expectation. Over promised, under delivered. There are many this app edit app options that don’t have the need to deceive potential customers. I would pick any app over this. Lame move devs

While there are several things that are great about Story, one of the things that is not is that you can adjust animations or remove them. Also/ it only can access “camera roll” on your iPhone, not google drive or iCloud- So I have to download all of the pictures from there onto my phone whenever I want to make a new this app 🙄

I’m all for supporting apps and devs, but this one blows.
1. Mostly chick/fashion oriented.
2. Only 3 free ones, but to use them, it pops up an ad to force you to subscribe. But it won’t let you say no. I’m not subscribing even to get the 3-day free trial just to try your app in first place. So you can’t go back to the free ones. Close Story and reopen, and it immediately goes to the “subscribe if you want to even look at Story!”
3. $3/wk subscription? Pfft. Cheaper and better ones out there.

Upon opening i was greeted with a very simple tutorial, what makes Story so good is all the different advertisement options that are present and it does things so well compared to other apps.

Deleted it almost immediately. Clicked on the pro button to see what the price would be for the full, which was too expensive and then it wouldn’t let me leave the page to go back and edit a this app. Every time I clicked the back button, it would pop and say “Are you sure?” Yes I’m effing sure! I hate apps like this! If Story is good, people will buy it, quit with this sleazy high pressure BS.
Ugh...

when I downloaded Story everything was free, after the last Update, now almost everything is paying and even the draft I had created was erased. $2.99 weekly? better said ... $12 per month. and the last update did not notify that they began to charge. I understand that you have to monetize, but you also have to be honest and not cheat to capture clients.

I just got Story and it’s so creative, what a way to liven up your social media stories! I made a sample one and it was so cute and I can’t wait to actually use it and see what other people think!

Really simple fast and easy to use. I like some of the unique features, definitely a go to stories editor

Until I got through the tutorial and closed Story for a couple days. After that, I open Story and I get a full screen pop up asking me to subscribe. I can do anything with Story and have never had a chance to use it. It’s going to take more than a good looking tutorial to make me use Story at this point.

The idea behind it is awesome - but it needs more development. I have an IPhone XR and it’s non-responsive to my touch. When I try to scroll to see all of the designs it does nothing. The only design that reacts is the first one which is pre-highlighted. Hopefully this gets fixed because I love the concept of what you have designed. Thanks

This this app editor could potentially be super cool but for $12/ month or (2.99/week as they say) it’s not worth it. I’m not sure how you’re getting away with calling this a free app just because you do a 3day free trial... and you have to sign up in order to get that free 3day trial.
I’m so disappointed and you totally wasted my time.
Also, it seems pretty apparent that most of the good reviews on here are completely fake.

I paid for the Ad free version. Extremely disappointed. I can’t edit my projects, my gallery won’t load. Only the first 5 pictures and that’s it. I’ve refreshed my phone several times thinking that would fix it but nope. It’s not my phone, it’s Story . I’m deleting it. Don’t waste your time or money guys.

Let me at least use Story !!!! You gotta stop with the pop up to sub every 5 seconds!!! I don’t even know how to use Story !!! I can’t use Story cause you won’t stop with the begging to sub. Make good apps and let people use them. If Story is good they’ll buy but I’m not going to do a free trial so you hope I forget and you charge me after 3 days... DO BETTER!

Story has some nice features, however $2.99 a week is far too expensive. There are a lot of apps available that are more reasonably priced.

This is the perfect tool for last minute, top-quality stories

A wonderful app to use but WHAT THE HECK is wrong now that i am unable to go back to Story as Story launches its shows the pro version promo and the back button on the top left doesn’t work. Please fix it not everyone wants a paid version

I don’t mind an add once in a while, however every time I try to create a draft I get prompted for the same offer and can never x-out to create. Also it’s too many steps to edit and add photos from my album to the platform. I love the aesthetics but as a platform it’s too complex considering all the other platforms I use as a social media manager.
