4.8 out of 5
SHRM-CP

I initially liked PocketPrepProfessional2025 a lot. Functions just fine. Has stats. Can flag questions. All that jazz. HOWEVA, I utilized a different physical book as well and the first test I took was nothing like PocketPrepProfessional2025. Which scared me...cuz I was awful at the book. Having completed 1000 questions for the SHRM-CP portion of PocketPrepProfessional2025, my biggest take away was that I needed to commit to memory a bunch of acts and laws from the Sherman Act to Ledbetter and beyond. The book practice exams had very little of that.

I took my SHRM-CP exam today and passed! BUT, I had exactly zero questions asking about laws or acts, zero questions about theory's like SMARTER, PESTLE, Maslow, etc.

PocketPrepProfessional2025 got me prepared for the test by continually taking quizzes and in the test taking mindset. The content did not mimic the actual exam in the slightest.

Consider rewriting the multiple choices

PocketPrepProfessional2025 started out strongly for me, but it seemed the same questions repeated frequently. Also, please consider the way the multiple choice answer options are written. The correct answer can be identified in at least half of the questions WITHOUT EVEN READING THE QUESTION. This is because you use language in the incorrect answers that makes it quite obvious they are wrong. When you use words like “ignore” and “neglect to…” as possible options for actions to take in response to the question, you’re just giving the answer away. The real SHRM exam is NOT going to do this; it will take much more skill and knowledge to choose the right answer. I put one of your quizzes in front of my daughter who is in high school and has no HR knowledge. She can get 10 out of 10 correct answers JUST because of the overly obvious way the correct vs incorrect multiple choice answer options are written. I strongly suggest revision to prepare test takers for the real thing.

UPDATE ADDED 2/6/25: I received a very considerate response from the development team that said they are doing a review of all their multiple choice questions based on this feedback. The writer acknowledges they have received feedback from others similar to mine. I give them two thumbs up for taking this seriously!

Ok For PHR Study Help

This is a decent study guide as long as you use it with other material. I’ve found several mistakes that were either outdated or just incorrect. Many misleading statements and irrelevant content as well (lots of SPHR only topics). You can tell the writer of the questions does not have a PHR or fully understand the topics.
Overall it’s a lot more interactive than using flash cards but essentially does the same thing WITH an explanation, which is great when you’re questioning the validity of the question. Overall worth it, but make sure to not take the answers as gospel and use other materials. They’re not supposed to be like the real test questions.

It’s alright…

I used PocketPrep for my CAPM and I contribute it to the success I had on my exam. However, for the PMP, meh.

Often, (the set list of questions mind you) there are no references from where the information was gathered. I understand the PMP includes a plethora of different sources and also experience however at the minimum I’d expect a breakdown of why alternate answers are incorrect. Both the source and the answer comparisons would preferred on ALL not some. This was especially frustrating when there were questions that were vague paired with “right” answers that were are a complete stretch.

For $20 a month it’s not worth it for higher level exams.

ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt

App is good for getting a wide variety of questions in order to know everything in the Body of Knowledge. However, similar to the ASQ Study Guide, there are some questions where the answers are wrong. There have been multiple times where their reasonings for an answer have been incorrect and the correct answer (word-for-word) can be found in ASQ Handbook. Aside from some incorrect answers when reviewing, it is a pretty solid app.

Edit: In addition to this, it makes perfect sense why their “refund policy” requires you to also do good on THEIR quizzes. Funny enough their answers are incorrect so good luck getting that appropriate score to get a refund if you don’t past your test.

Edit 2: I did submit some questions to support. They seemed concerned about getting the questions properly reviewed and fixed, so hopefully that can be done. With a little bit more updating, I do believe PocketPrepProfessional2025 can be excellent resource for passing certification exams. Will be using for PMP as well.

Some issues but overall a helpful tool

I’m preparing for my PHR and have been using PocketPrepProfessional2025 for a little over 2 months. Overall it’s a good study tool but I would definitely recommend other tools as well. There are several spelling and grammar errors throughout the questions and at least one question marked my answer wrong but based on the explanation and other study materials it was right! This is a good tool as long as it’s not your only tool!

May try to update my review after I take the test in 2 weeks!

Great App, Slight Typos

PocketPrep (PMP, Professional) has been a staple in my studying habits for my PMP exam. Hands down, it is indeed the best iOS studying app available for the PMP. Their recent update to their platform overall was hard to initially accept, but after working in it, it’s way cleaner and more intuitive! My favorite feature is seeing where each topic (PMBOK chapter) ranks from strongest to weakest. I especially like the ability to create a quiz that allows me to pick certain subjects, questions I’ve not answered yet, flagged questions, or even just questions I’ve gotten wrong. Minus one star because I’ve had to tweet PocketPrep several times regarding the accuracy of their questions or answers. Pedagogically, these issues aren’t huge, it’s just the PMP exam plays on words heavily and by misrepresenting certain acronyms or having typographical errors, this inflames test anxiety like mine!

Highly recommend

Pocket Prep was exactly what I needed to study for my PHR. With a hectic summer work schedule turning chaotic, having PocketPrepProfessional2025 at my finger tips at anytime was a life saver. I didn't use any other resources (not sure if that's the best route to take for anyone else) but I aced my PHR yesterday. Scored high in all areas, even my weakest subject score was on the high end of scores.

I'm definitely going to sign up again when studying for my SHRM certification. I tested earlier this year and didn't pass that one but hadn't known about Pocket Prep. Now that I know PP exists, I'm planning to try again. I think the results will be different the second time around.

Passed my CMP exam!!!

Paid the $20 for the premium version about a month out from my test date to upgrade to 600 practice questions to continue testing my knowledge. Along with reading the material EIC suggested I took at least one quick 10 quiz daily. I really like how an explanation was given for each answer along with the page number for reference. The formatting of the questions helped me prepare to make sure I read the question CAREFULLY and pick the BEST answer not just the right answer. Also loved being able to test myself on the go! Simply opening PocketPrepProfessional2025 is so much easier than lugging 50 million flash cards with me everywhere I go. I’d highly recommend!

Convenient way to study for the PMP

App has really useful reminders. Turn on notifications so you get a daily reminder to study and take the question of the day. The 10 question quizzes are easy to take anywhere and everywhere. You can even build you own customized quizzes with your weakest topics. I purchased the $20 version which gives you access to over 800 questions. The only issue with the questions, is that they’re not situational questions like you see in the exam. They’re more knowledge and memorization questions. Even still these knowledge questions will help you answer situational questions on the exam so I highly recommend it.

Solid app, frustrating pricing model

I would much prefer an option to pay for one exam prep in full at a time instead of a subscription - it feels silly to subscribe to prep for one exam unless there’s clearer constant improvement delivery to the materials for that exam. Otherwise, it’s a really great app with some thoughtful study features! PocketPrepProfessional2025 is making it possible for me to squeeze in a little study time during late night baby feedings, and that means I am so much more likely to study a little bit every day during parental leave. So, while I am annoyed by the pricing, I am still gladly paying

Great for PMP

PocketPrepProfessional2025 is great, because the questions are really challenging. I found them more challenging than the actual questions on the PMP exam, which was helpful. I completed all 1600 questions, until I achieved an 80% with the three-month membership and passed all three sections of the exam with “Above Target.”

With that said, I also supplemented with trainings and other resources over the past year. I don’t know if PocketPrepProfessional2025 alone would allow you to pass, because a lot of the PMP questions can be answered with an understanding of the mindset you should have, which isn’t necessarily communicated with PocketPrepProfessional2025. But PocketPrepProfessional2025 certainly helped me prepare and pass the PMP exam.

Passed the exam!

I started off using the free version and wish I would have upgraded sooner. The paid features are 100% worth the money. I loved being able to take missed questions quizzes, or tailor a quiz to my problem areas. It’s also nice that you can pick the number of questions for the quizzes; it allowed me to work in study time even if I only had a few minutes. I used David Siler’s course as my foundation but this really helped with getting my brain used to thinking through the test logic. I got my PHR on the first try - highly recommend!!

App helped me prepare greatly

I scheduled my CSP exam in April for July and I used PocketPrepProfessional2025 primarily to study. I did use other resources to study but PocketPrepProfessional2025 was perfect. The daily question has me logging in every day even if I didn’t have a lot of time to study just to get a question in. The question bank has 1000 questions that covered most everything I needed to know for the test and the questions themselves helped me prep for the wording on the actual test and how questions are set up. Quizzes are customizable so you can change up depending on what you want to focus on or how much time you have. I sat for my CSP this morning and I passed! I felt much more prepared than I did on previous exams that I used other methods to study for.

Passed CAPM with First Try!

Bought PocketPrepProfessional2025 29 days before my exam with the intention of just using it for one month and cancel the subscription afterwards. I did at least 20 questions a day. The day before the exam, I did 100 questions to get comfortable doing 150 questions for the actual exam. The questions helped ALOT! It’s like a refresher of the course at a high level. I passed the exam with Above Target for all topics except Intro to PM and Proj Integration which I got Target. Highly recommend using PocketPrepProfessional2025 to prepare for your exam if you want to pass it the first time!

I passed the exam!!!

I had been studying for the SPHR exam with the BenchPrep materials that I bought through HRCI for months. I also purchased the unlimited practice tests through HRCI, which ended up being 30 questions and a total rip off. When I got down to the final days I felt like I wasn’t ready.

I bought the premium subscription and went through 900 of the questions. I started off scoring in the mid 60s and was averaging 78% after working on PocketPrepProfessional2025. I liked that i could customize the quizzes to work on my weakest areas. I took my exam last Friday and I passed on the first try. My performance in each of the 5 subject areas on the test was very close to my performance on PocketPrepProfessional2025. I wish had found PocketPrepProfessional2025 sooner it would have saved me a lot of stress.

Helped me pass my PMP on the first try!

PocketPrepProfessional2025 was a Godsend, I had been using the free version but before my exam decided to upgrade and pay and it was worth it! The questions were a lot like what was on the exam, the analysis that it runs on the paid version helps point out your weak spots so you can go back and study. I am so glad that I used PocketPrepProfessional2025, it’s a lot less expensive than other exam simulations out there and way better than using the free exams out there. It’s so easy to use and I really recommend paying for PocketPrepProfessional2025 , you won’t regret it.

Passed the test! Loved the features!

I found PocketPrepProfessional2025 extremely helpful studying (cramming) for the SPHR. I passed my first time. While some of the questions and concepts are more specific on PocketPrepProfessional2025 vs test, I found it more helpful than the course materials I had purchased and read. PocketPrepProfessional2025 being so easy to use, immediate explanations, and all the testing options/customize features were all super helpful. I felt this helped more than the virtual course I completed that cost much much more money.

Essential for the PMP

I was reluctant to use an app for my test prep but it was the only resource that challenged me. I studied all 1100+ questions and took the 3 practice exams and got an AT/AT/AT on my PMP exam!

Although the questions were not exactly like the ones in the test, the questions challenged me enough to ensure I was familiar enough with the material to do be able to understand and answer the questions.

I highly recommend PocketPrepProfessional2025 for the PMP and I’ll be back when I’m ready to get another certification!!!

Great App

I have to say that this is a great app, the layout is simple and intuitive and the content is top quality. I used PocketPrepProfessional2025 to study for and pass PMP, there’s plenty of questions to prepare you for your exam and all the answers come complete with the reference location so you can look it up and review it for yourself. The community scores feature lets you see how you rank against others using PocketPrepProfessional2025 to study and the weak subject and missed questions modes help you focus on areas that you need improvement in. Overall I loved PocketPrepProfessional2025 and used it exclusively as my study material for my test prep.
