DMV Driving Permit Test Prep Reviews

I got the course done very quick and was very happy because I heard it took others like three months. I was so excited to get my permit right when I turned 15 1/2 so I could get my license when I turn 16. I finished the course on I believe the 24th of June, with the hopes of taking my test the 16th of June. It said my certification of completion would be mailed in about 2 weeks, so I saw no problem. 2 weeks goes by, no certificate. 3 weeks, no certificate. I emailed and they said they would mail it right away and send a copy from San Diego (I live in SF). Still waiting for my certificate, and about to ask for a refund and find another app to use to take my course and get my certificate, taking much longer than I hoped. Thanks a lot.

This is a really good app. The ads are annoying as well as the constant begs for purchasing the full version, but other than that it’s great. I feel confident and like I’m going to pass my test.

EDIT: I did pass my test, but about half the questions weren’t on DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep (i have them all) so you should update it. Also in the middle of a test a video add will pop up in the middle of the screen, and not cover all of it. DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep keeps going and there is no way to get rid of the ad. (I am in UT by the way)

DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep would be great if not for three major flaws.

1.) In my experience, the practice tests fail to consistently recycle only "incorrect" questions or only "not attempted" questions. I usually get a mix of everything no matter which mode is selected.

2.) A glitch causes the tests to frequently end prematurely with a list of redundant "Null?" entries instead of valid questions and available responses. Perhaps this is only an issue with certain iOS builds, but it is a major handicap.

3.) There are numerous spelling and grammatical errors built in to many of the questions. How, then, could transcription of DMV-administered questions be trusted to be factual, up-to-date and accurate?!

Who has time for this?

Sorry, dev team, but I could not take DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep seriously even if, in full functionality, it were free. But as a paid app? I think "full refund due" and "needs revision" would be apt and fair judgments from a paying buyer.

There are other, FREE app alternatives for DMV test prep that are far more accurate and useful.

I recommend that the prospective buyer save their time and money and keep looking.

This is a great app, although I think it could use some improvements. I’ve come across a question that says “null” multiple times and it disrupts my test because there’s never a right answer and I end up scoring less than I should. There are also grammatical errors scattered throughout DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep . Also, the algorithm for test questions should be focused on repeating the ones answered wrong and decreasing repetition of the ones that are consistently answered correctly. Lastly, my app glitches every time I try to log into my Google account and I would really like it if it could get fixed so I can get more questions.

A friend in California had a good experience with DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep but I’m in Seattle, WA and went through all the questions (paid for DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep ) and passed DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep ’s practice test 21 attempts in a row, with a predicted 100% chance of passing. I failed by 1 when I took the test in real life- I noticed there were a great deal of questions not covered by DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep at all. Questions like, how many hours marijuana stays in your system (5 hours), at what point a child no longer needs to be in a car seat, etc. I was so close so it’s super disappointing! DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep was very helpful for studying but I’m disappointed that it wasn’t as reliable as it advertised, it gave me a good baseline but not enough to pass.

Granted I’ve only used DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep like twice now but there is an issue that I’ve noticed that I want to address (would email y’all about it but you don’t have a support email). There is a question about BAC in regards to those under the age of 21, and to this question I answered .01 BAC. DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep told me I was wrong and that the answer was .02 BAC yet the explanation for it said .01 BAC was the correct answer. There’s also another question about a no standing zone and I clicked “you may not stop” and the correct answer was “you may stop temporarily...” but the explanation said that you may not stop to pick up passengers. Personally I find this a bit confusing and I don’t know which answer out of the 4 would have been right. I don’t know how many other mistakes there are but please fix this!

So far I have aced this test twice as of the update regarding the 2021 questions. Unfortunately, one question is very buggy and needs to fixed immediately. The question: “How long does it take to clear three beers in your system?” The answer switches between 1 hour and 3 hours as the correct answer. The Flash Cards Section states the correct answer is 3 hours but when taking the test it switches pending each test effort.

DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep is great for studying, I read the flash cards for a couple hours, and I mostly passed the preview test you could say 9/10. What I was lacking was knowledge and this gives you random generated questions so it’s useful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, only this is you do pay to get all the possible 260 questions, tho it’s only $1.99 it’s the concept. Otherwise I would give this a 5 Star rating.

I downloaded DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep a few weeks ago and it’s been helping me out a lot. But a few days ago, when I was taking one of the test, I got to question 19 and the question part was blank and all the answers just said (null). And when I clicked on one of the answers it said something like you have failed and brought me back to the home page. It does this no matter how many questions I get right or wrong, and it’s always on question 19. I hope they fix the bug soon because DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep has really been helpful to me.

I am studying for the Arizona permit test and on the hand signal question that is supposed to indicate stopping or slowing down, whenever i press the correct answer, it marks it as incorrect. It says the hand signal that is extending your arm downward with your palm facing backward is to signal that you’re going left, and then the correction says ‘stopping or slowing down’.

So, i’m putting the correct answer in but it marks it as wrong, initially gives the wrong answer, and then corrects it as the answer that i just put in.

DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep is helpful but just needs a little fixing . i have been using it a while and i notice a few grammatical things but its not bad enough to not understand what is being said. Also taking in to consideration it is a free app it has more info than i expected. Its only a dollar and change to get more questions and help on DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep and i think its worth it but if u don't this free version is nice to jog your memory.

Overall DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep is extremely useful and has helped me a lot in practicing for my test, but there are only 100 questions to have access to without having to pay. The “free stuff” tab does not work. It will come up for a split second and then disappear again. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep but that has not worked. Hopefully this can be fixed in the next update.

I feel that DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep is a good app if you miss a question it gives you the right answer with a an explanation so you can understand the questions a little better. At the end of each test it gives you a chance to review what you missed and another chance to take the test again..

To practice/study for my permit test I heavily relied on DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep and mainly used the practice tests they had. I didn’t have to purchase anything at all. (I also used the practice tests that the DMV had online.) I used DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep for a good 2 weeks before my actual exam. There are actual questions I saw in DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep that were also on the exam! (Just in case anyone’s curious I took the exam in California & passed!)

I was having some pre-test anxiety before using DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep, but after going through the test several times, swapping with the flash cards, I feel way more confident in my passing the permit exam! I switched to the paid version - super crucial if you want all of the questions (no-ads is a plus).

If you need absolute help with studying for your PA driver’s permit exam and you really want an effective mock test, DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep is definitely the one to use.

DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep is very helpful. I like the fact that when an answer is correct it notifies you and if it’s wrong it lets you know why and give you the correct answer! Also how it shows you how many questions you passed or failed and the amount of questions left to be answered so that way I know i am getting somewhere❤️Highly recommendable👏🏼

I’ve been using DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep to study for my permit test. DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep gives my accurate feed back after I took 5 test so it can give me an average of if I’ll pass or not and it’s helping me more and more confident in myself so I can take the test and pass. If u would like to study for a drivers test just download this and I’m not a fake person doing this either

DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep gives you an opportunity to practice before your test using flash cards. When you download he app they only give you so many questions (the ones you really need to pass the test, which I feel is amazing) and when you enter the test if you get one wrong they’ll explain why your anwser was wrong. And if you pass the test your they congratulate you with confetti😊

This helped me so much it’s worth paying the 2 dollars or whatever it is. It’ll help so much and it’s better than paying the something 30 dollars if you don’t pass the first 2 times. Btw I only got DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep and studied 5 days before taking the test. It’s so worth it. Get it if you don’t want to waste money on extra tries or a course.

I went from not knowing half the stuff to passing my exam with no incorrect answers in a matter of two days. If you’re trying to get a good score fast I recommend DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep especially the practice exam just keep trying and you will learn to questions and answers in no time.

DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep is a good way to study for your learners permit. It includes questions and explanations for the questions that you get wrong, which is helpful. DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep also keeps track of your past tests and averages. The only thing that I think DMVDrivingPermitTestPrep could improve are the amount of ads displayed, and having to upgrade to premium (which costs money) in order to unlock all of the questions.
