Great but needs help
The login system is horrible, doesn’t remember me and when I try to log-in it doesn’t recognize it, combating any human error I reset my password and even waited a day or so after, still unable to log on, even tried creating a new login (without going through any social media) and, no surprise my email is already taken... so I continue without a login, refresh/load my membership (I am a premium member). And it freezes and even crashes now and again but when it works it’s great so I didn’t mind it’s minor downfalls, but after weeks of progress gets erased and suddenly acts as if it’s your first time, again, (can’t get it back since I have wasn’t logged on) it’s down right frustrating. Please fix. Questions, flag system and even the testing diagnostics is fantastic! Just don’t push away people who genuinely want to use and l learn from this app.
This app is amazing!
I had taken the TEAS twice before getting this app and ended up getting the same exact score of 66. I decided that I needed to find another way to study and found this app. I paid for the premium which gave me access to over 1000 question and I set a daily reminder so that I would at least answer the question of the day. I just recently took my TEAS test again and I scored a 73.3! I swear by this app, it is amazing, the questions are mostly the same as the test and it’s a lot cheaper than paying for the practice you would pay for on the actual Ati testing website.
Great content, buggy app
I have no issue with the content, it’s the best you can find for the price point. However, the app (for all pocket prep tests) and the corresponding web app needs to be debugged to fix the following issues: 1, the button to select the number of questions in an exam doesn’t work 9 times out of 10. It won’t pull across as it’s designed to do, you have to repeatedly tap it to try to get it to move, which only sometimes works, so you’re often stuck doing 5 question exams. 2, the web app (for every test, I have 4) will often glitch out when you’re selecting the content you want to be tested on. If you click unselect all it freezes the page and you have to refresh the whole page and try again. Thanks for the great app in general! It’s very helpful.
Not as in depth as the TEAS requires
I have recently taken my TEAS exam April 9, 2018. I studied from both the ATI Teas Manual and pocket prep. But from reading the great reviews of the content on pocket prep I focused heavily on testing with pocket preps practice exams (I paid $15 for full access). Which in the end was not my greatest move. Although majority my fault in judgement, the practice exams do not go as deep as the TEAS requires most especially in the science portion (A&P). I took the exam and was completely baffled by some of the questions asked. So I would recommend focusing your studies mostly on the ATI TEAS manual or other sources that have been proven to work for other test takers. Not a horrible app for gaining knowledge but do not depend solely on pocket prep in your preparation process. Still got an 80% on the science portion though so it is helpful in some aspects but not to the fullest extent!
Very good study tool
I recently took the Teas exam and passed it the first time with ease. The app does a very good Job of giving you a very close representation of how the questions are asked. Here are a few things that I learned using this app to study for the Test. 1) All the sections are very close to the real test except the science section is significantly more difficult than the questions given in the app. 2) I recommend using another test prep book to refresh on the important ideas. I believe this was very helpful and the extra practice questions in the app helped apply the info. Overall the app itself is a very good representation to the test. The app itself could be better as it frequently crashed on me.
Test result issues
This app is great to have on the go and review questions. I gave it 2 stars because it’s a useful tool to have on the go and the Questions of the Day really inspire you to try more questions. However, I have taken 3 practice exams (100) questions each time and have NEVER received the results for any of the three exams. After contacting technical support, I still don’t have access to the exam results. Imagine the frustration of trying to practice for the real teas exam or expecting to know where your weak points are only to discover none of it counted. I would recommend using it only as a review tool and not rely on the practice exams. It’s disappointing that this app charges a decent amount only not to have access to the full benefits. I’ll look for another app or stick to the paper route.
Great App but freezes
I used to love this app but it seems like lately it has done nothing but freezing every time I open it and try to use it. I sometimes can’t even get it to work because it freezes so much that I just give up. Not sure if the last update has anything to do with it but it would be greatly appreciated if it was fixed. I paid for the subscription and it’s a little frustrating when it won’t let you do anything. Hopefully it gets fixed soon since my exam for this is a month away.
Pocket Prep for TEAS 6
I used to really enjoy this app. I feel like it was helpful and I enjoyed doing it. Here recently the app hasn’t been working properly. It will randomly kick me out in the middle of an exam which is very annoying because then you have to start over. When the app actually does work it goes ridiculously slow. I shouldn’t have to delete and reinstall this app every day. That’s absurd. The app isn’t cheap so it’s annoying that it doesn’t work properly. You would think they would make it to where you could delete past exams to free up memory on the app if that’s what’s causing it to not work. The app would be great if it actually worked. I personally wouldn’t buy this again.
This app is great! I just took my TEAS and scored an 89.3%. I’ve been out of school for ten years and needed refreshers in certain areas. Using this app and one study guide really helped. The program runs smoothly, you can build your own exam to focus on certain areas, and it tells you what areas you need to review. The explanations for each question really help you to learn the material. The only complain is on some of the math problems they solve them in a weird way but whatever gets to the same answer I guess works.
Excellent preparatory tool
Quite the resource for someone prepping for the TEAS. I would recommend that you utilize this in conjunction with a preparatory guide (study guide from ATI or mometrix). I used this application for nearly a year while completing prerequired courses accompanied with a guide and did well! Passed the exam on the first try. I love the feedback options that you’re given when answering the question on the day or taking a practice exam. This feedback helps you structure your study and maximize your time spent preparing for the exam.
Good, but questions repeat often
Overall, I’m happy with this app. The QOTD are good, and I like being able to customize exams based on my areas of opportunity. I currently have just under 300 Questions completed with about 1,100 remaining. What’s frustrating is that I’ve seen several questions multiple times (one of them I’ve seen at least 5 times, and I’ve never gotten it wrong so I’m not sure why it keeps coming back). My overall available questions number is decreasing even with the repeated questions. Other than that, it’s a solid test prep tool.
Excellent prep material
I ended up scoring very highly. The questions in this app aren’t exact, but definitely pointed out the areas I was weakest in, and gave me something to work on. The quick 10 question tests made it possible to study pretty much anywhere. I recommend this resource highly! *side-note, I also used an actual book, but it was awfully written. There was no feedback on what I was doing wrong. The app gives you feedback and explanations.
I had used pocked prep before and It was very helpful to pass my NREMT. However, this wasn’t the case for the 6th version of the ATI teas. I studied all the question bank over 1,300 questions. I flagged the questions and improved drastically in my weaknesses. Science was my highest scoring section. I went on to take the TEAS, I passed with a 66%. I got a 55% on science which dropped my overall score drastically. This left confused since I dedicated the time studying. I found the science section to be much more in depth and different question style wording in comparison to the pocket prep. The only thing I have to recommend to the rest is, GO TO THE ATI website and spend the extra money on their practice test. ATI teas pocket prep DOESN’T HAVE THE APPROPRIATE STUDY MATERIAL.
Helpful tool if you can deal with the app constantly crashing
In theory this app really is a useful tool in helping to study. However, it constantly crashes and freezes. I can’t even count how many times it has crashed in the middle of a quiz, or frozen when trying to start an exam. For the cost of this I would expect a better functioning app. If you have the patience for an app that works maybe 60% of the time then it really is a very helpful study tool. Just wish the creators would fix whatever bugs are causing it to malfunction so often.
Could be great!
I like everything about this app (when it is working!) I would say about 75% of the time I go to use this app it either doesn’t remember my login or it just freezes up and I have to start all over again. It has became so frustrating that I am actually writing this review. This is the first review I have ever written about anything. It’s a real shame because if the app worked smoothly it would be extremely helpful. Maybe it’s just my phone, I don’t know. The way it is now it is almost unusable! Update: this app has gotten worse! I can’t ever get any questions loaded and if I do which isn’t often, The app will freeze. Do yourself a favor and don’t purchase.
