I initially liked this app a lot. Functions just fine. Has stats. Can flag questions. All that jazz. HOWEVA, I utilized a different physical book as well and the first test I took was nothing like this app. Which scared me...cuz I was awful at the book. Having completed 1000 questions for the SHRM-CP portion of this app, my biggest take away was that I needed to commit to memory a bunch of acts and laws from the Sherman Act to Ledbetter and beyond. The book practice exams had very little of that.
I took my SHRM-CP exam today and passed! BUT, I had exactly zero questions asking about laws or acts, zero questions about theory's like SMARTER, PESTLE, Maslow, etc.
The app got me prepared for the test by continually taking quizzes and in the test taking mindset. The content did not mimic the actual exam in the slightest.

This app started out strongly for me, but it seemed the same questions repeated frequently. Also, please consider the way the multiple choice answer options are written. The correct answer can be identified in at least half of the questions WITHOUT EVEN READING THE QUESTION. This is because you use language in the incorrect answers that makes it quite obvious they are wrong. When you use words like “ignore” and “neglect to…” as possible options for actions to take in response to the question, you’re just giving the answer away. The real SHRM exam is NOT going to do this; it will take much more skill and knowledge to choose the right answer. I put one of your quizzes in front of my daughter who is in high school and has no HR knowledge. She can get 10 out of 10 correct answers JUST because of the overly obvious way the correct vs incorrect multiple choice answer options are written. I strongly suggest revision to prepare test takers for the real thing.
UPDATE ADDED 2/6/25: I received a very considerate response from the development team that said they are doing a review of all their multiple choice questions based on this feedback. The writer acknowledges they have received feedback from others similar to mine. I give them two thumbs up for taking this seriously!

I used PocketPrep for my CAPM and I contribute it to the success I had on my exam. However, for the PMP, meh.
Often, (the set list of questions mind you) there are no references from where the information was gathered. I understand the PMP includes a plethora of different sources and also experience however at the minimum I’d expect a breakdown of why alternate answers are incorrect. Both the source and the answer comparisons would preferred on ALL not some. This was especially frustrating when there were questions that were vague paired with “right” answers that were are a complete stretch.
For $20 a month it’s not worth it for higher level exams.
